Skye was very easy to do business with, and was amiable in negotiating a fair price. His workers did an excellent job, with daily clean-up and a great looking roof. Of course, the proof will be in how it holds up under our first heavy rain. I expect all will be.fine. Make sure they have a good working fire extinguisher when installing with torch down. read more

After posting a request for recommendations on Nextdoor and on Yelp, I was contacted by a few companies. After meeting with 5 different potential roofers we settled on EBA Roofing. Skye was the gentleman we dealt with. He was on time, did an inspection and gave us a quote that was reasonable. Crew showed up early and ready to work. Skye was always available and I could contact him with any concerns. Work area was always left clean which was important and after 4 days, our project was complete with inspections. Very happy with their work and I do recommend. read more

Very responsive and great job with both of the services we received. Home inspection found multiple leaks on my mother in law's new house after last month's 1st rainstorm. EBA Roofing re-papered roof. Repair happened before next rainstorm and no more leaks. Also, my house had a leak after the 2nd storm and EBA Roofing identified and repaired a broken tile quickly preventing further water damage. read more

After the rain storms last year we suddenly needed a new roof. We interviewed 4 or 5 companies and Ben stood out as being the most transparent and honest. There was no pressure and the price was fair. (He's also pretty funny.) His team was very fast and did a great job! Whenever we have had any questions about anything Ben was very quick to get back to us. We are very happy and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good roofer! read more

There was a leak in our roof from the last rain storm. When I called Mike to come out and take a look at it, he came out quickly. He immediately identified it as being an area where our air conditioner sits and fixed it quickly and efficiently. I can't recommend EBA Roofing any more highly. They stand behind their work. read more

EBA Roofing did a wonderful job on our roof replacement, and just in time for the rain, phew! Skye and his crew were always on time, efficient, and kept the property clean throughout the process. Skye was consistently available to answer questions and address concerns when they arose. Pricing was very reasonable, and they were able to start work in a time frame that met our needs. EBA, you have our thanks and our recommendation! read more

I hired the company to replace the Spanish tiles previously placed to cap all the peaks on the otherwise composite roof of my "Tudor" style home. The work was completed efficiently in one day with material they chose to match the rest of the existing roof. I love the results and was pleasantly surprised by the cost. I highly recommend using EBA Roofing. read more

We used EBA roofing to replace the roof on our 55 year old house that we just purchased. Ben and Mike were extremely knowledgable and provided fair pricing with efficient work. I trust them completely and know that our roof will last decades! read more

I needed to replace a 50-year-old roof & two skylights on my house. I got a couple of estimates that were pretty close in price. The second estimate was from EBA Roofing. I intended to get a few more estimates, but the project manager at EBA (Manny) let me know that he really wanted the job & they could start the next day, so I decided to have them do it. The cost was $30,000.00. This was the first time I had a roof replaced, so I had a few questions about the condition of the wood under the shingles. Manny explained that any wood that needed to be replaced would be extra. I knew from previous estimates that there would be bad wood where there were leaks & there were only four areas in the house where the roof leaked. I was home during the job & I was able to see how much wood was carried up to the roof because there was only one area where a ladder was used to access the roof & it was visible from my third floor living room windows. There were 4 sheets of plywood & (at the most) 7 or 8 2x4's. When the job was completed & the final payment was due, I was presented with a bill for $7,320.00 for "Extra Wood." I was given an invoice to "explain" the extra charges - a total of 491 square feet of wood. I reminded Manny that I watched all the wood being carried up to the roof & it was nowhere near what was claimed & adding $3,367.00 to the total cost was outrageous. The price per square foot was also ridiculous. To give them the benefit of the doubt & see if they might have made a mistake when measuring the amount of wood replaced, I also discussed this issue with the owner - "Ben." Of course, he wasn't interested in reviewing it.....until I posted a review to prevent others from being ripped off; then he offered to reimburse me $1,100.00 if I deleted my review. Although that was insufficient, in the interest of resolving the issue, I agreed. Interestingly, the owner asked, "How do I know you will delete your review after I reimburse you?" I responded, "How did you know my checks for $30,000.00 would be good?" (Dishonest people often think everyone else is dishonest). I mentioned to Manny that water was flowing off one section of the roof & was getting under a door into the den. Manny recommended replacing the rain gutters in that small section and another small section above a balcony. He gave me an estimate for those two sections of rain gutters (approximately 8 ft) - $5,300.00. Pure greed! I had another company replace ALL the rain gutters (130 ft) & install 5 Downspouts (60 ft.) on my entire house for $2,195.00. When I mentioned these issues to the owner, he responded, "Well, I already fired Manny." In 2025, during rain, I noticed leaking in two areas near air conditioning vents. I thought the ducting was the problem, so I contacted the company that previously installed my air conditioner on the roof. After the technician inspected the two areas & took several photos, he explained that the leaking was caused by missing nails on the flashing around the ducts, which was the responsibility of the roofer. He said he could seal the two areas with material & it would cost $325.00. Since it was raining and EBA Roofing takes several days to respond (if they respond at all) & I didn't want more water damage in my home, I had him do the repair. On 11-15-25, I e-mailed the detailed invoice and the photos to EBA Roofing & requested reimbursement. I also mailed the entire package to EBA Roofing. I got no response. On 11-20-25, I noted more leaking - this time from the roof. I called EBA Roofing and an office employee said they "will call me back when they get a confirmation time." On 11-25-25, a technician came & said, "Uh...I forgot my ladder at my last job & I will be back in a few hours." He returned several hours later. I watched him apply some type of material on the area. He said, "If you get any more leaks, call me." I then explained the previous situation of the leaking from the flashing. I also handed him a printed copy of the detailed invoice from the air conditioning company along with more photos - (in addition to my previous e-mail and regular mailed documents & photos which were all ignored). And I reminded him that it was the third time I have provided the information without a response. He said, "I'll give them to the owner." On 12-7-25, after being ignored for almost a month, I called EBA & spoke to a technician. He said they were not responsible for the problem & I should have contacted them earlier. I reminded him that they take several days to respond & I didn't want more water damage in my house. He just kept repeating, "You should have called us earlier." 12-15-25: EBA Roofing phoned me & said "We will be there to repair all the leaks if you are nice & take down the review." Two guys from EBA checked the roof, & blamed the leaks on "My neighbor's overhanging tree branch that is dripping water on the roof." Obviously, they think their customers are stupid. read more

Skye came out to do a roof inspection - he was on time (actually early!) and walked me through everything going on with my roof. I highly recommend EBA Roofing. Mike and Ben were polite, professional, and knowledgeable. We had a 25 -30 year old roof that needed to be replaced and was beginning to spring leaks. Mike responded quickly. No high pressure sales tactics. The price was very competitive and the work is nothing less than top notch! They were on time, returned calls/ texts promptly, and they addressed every concern we had. Additionally, they take pride in their work and went so far as to reinstall/ adjust two new skylights that were installed just a little bit out of square. After the work was done, they worked with me to make sure I had all the required items for my DWP rebate. Thank you Mike & Ben! read more

WORST ROOFER EVER. We spent a lot of money to have half of our roof fixed. We pointed out the trouble spots. We paid a lot of money for his services. When he was done, I noticed that the end of the nails his team used on the roof came through my ceiling. We had a stream of nail points down one side of our ceiling. It took a while for him to come and fix it. We have had three heavy rains since then, and each time, it has leaked where he said he fixed it. He came out again and claimed he fixed the part that is leaking. Got up this morning and it is leaking worse than before. Steady stream of dripping in the house. He is now claiming we need to replace the rest of the roof--the part that he told us we still had time to fix a little over a year ago. So now at the beginning of three days of heavy rain, my roof is going to leak and my house will be a mess. Don't use him--he doesn't stand by his work and has a bad attitude when you ask him to fix things. read more

On 12/16/24 I called for an appointment about repairing or replacing 2 whirlybirds on my roof - one of which had blown off in the high winds. Skye Melendez said he could come the following afternoon. On 12/17 he spent less than 10 minutes on the roof, said it was an easy job - probably about an hour to replace the whirlybirds and patch the roof as necessary. He said he would go to the office and get a price on the whirlybirds and send me a quote. I never heard from him again even though I left 2 messages. Obviously I cannot reecomended him or his business as he showed himself to be completely unprofessional. read more

Needed to replaced our old roof( was originally installed in 1997)- with two winters of heavy rain, I was concerned that the old shingles may not make it through another winter. I contacted three roofing companies- but the best option was EBA roofing. The owners, Ben and Mike, came out to review what needed to be done. Mike explained the cool roof shingle options ( colors), the sequence of installation ( one day to remove old shingles, city inspection of roof before new shingles installed & final inspection once work is completed). EBA arranged the permits and inspections. Their price quote was the most reasonable ( one company gave an offer twice the amount). If I had any questions, even the most trivial ones, Mike answered them. And his answers reassured me. The crew cleaned up any and all debris. And the crew was courteous and respectful. An added plus, our old LADWP meter was located above our gas meter/ gas lines. As EBA also does general contractor work- Mike contacted their head electrician, Asaf. Asaf 's recommendation was to have the meter relocated and as we also has 1940's wiring throughout the house- replacement of all wires( new outlets, ceiling lights, etc.) It made sense to upgrade. This was a major project, but despite a long day of replacing the old wires, installing the new wires( switches, outlets)- what a difference! Highly recommend this company for your roofing projects and and construction needs. read more

Highly recommended! We hired EBA Roofing to replace our back roof including the flat roof portion, and they did a fantastic job. Mike and Ben showed up the same day we called to look at the roof, came within budget on the estimates and even juggled schedule to start the day after we signed off on the job, in order to beat the rain. They took great care of us and completed the job in two days and oversaw everything from budget to final inspection. A total breeze, easy to get ahold of, and very enjoyable to work with. I don't think we've ever had such a positive experience working with contractors and we've done everything from sewer line to HVAC and everything in between. I contacted EBA roofing through Angi -- I have a leak in my house that is apparently due to flashing around the chimney that needs repair. I also have a roof that is 30+ years old and will probably need shingles replaced. EBA told me that they were available to look at the roof -- even sooner than our scheduled appointment. I texted them a photo of the broken seal at the chimney which also showed the condition of the roof. Low and behold -- they determined that it was only the flashing that needed repair and suddenly they were not available for 5-6 weeks to repair it. Very suddenly, I was told that they received two additional jobs today -- the very day that they went to look at my roof. Why was my job pushed to last priority? It is imperative that the leak be repaired, and especially before the next rain. This tells you either that this company is a very small operation and does not have the manpower to complete a small job at the same time as a larger job. I would investigate them very closely before hiring. Or more likely, I believe this company is interested only in larger jobs. I wish they had told me this before they went to look at the roof -- wasted everyone's time. The irony is that I will need this roof replaced within a few years -- and they will most definitely not be on my list of roofers. UPDATE 9/20/23: Michael Ullman of EBA Roofing called me upon reading this review. He was extremely apologetic and explained that he honestly did not know that two large jobs were assigned at the time he inspected my house -- these were two jobs that had to be started immediately. He was very sincere and I believe him. He expressed to me that he wanted to help, and would push very hard to see if he could get someone to my house within the next couple of weeks. I don't know whether I can wait that long - depending on the timing of the next rain, but I was impressed that he took the time to call, I appreciated the call and I believe that he is an honest businessman. read more

We had put off getting a new roof for too long, and our shingles were starting to glisten as they wore down. I got several recommendations from friends and via Yelp and Next Door and narrowed it down to 4 companies. Skye at EBA Roofing was very responsive and scheduled a visit to provide an estimate quickly (unlike at least one other company). Their estimate was the most reasonable and he answered all my questions about possible adjustments in case of mold, etc. so there were no surprises.
