Every time I'm in Rundle Mall I head into EB Games. It's a great place. If you need to buy games for your PC, MAC, Xbox, PS3, Wii, PSP, or Gameboy, then go here! Their new customer loyalty program allows for receipt-less shopping (they are attached to your customer card). You can trade in your old games for cash or towards a new game. I'd suggest trading towards a purchase because you get much more dollar wise. The new loyalty program allows for you to increase your 'level' and with each 'level-up' you get more trade-in percentage and gifts from EB. The staff are always very helpful, they're obviously doing what they want to be doing! read more

EB Games is usually a place I end up in at some point whenever I go shopping. If you've never heard of EB, it has games. Not board games. Games for your computer, playstation, xbox, and other consoles. It's nicely layed out, easy to navigate around, the store is segmented depending on the console. You can check out the new releases, see whats coming out (and even pre-order), you can even pick up some second hand games, or trade in your old games. Service is pretty good, and questions they're happy to answer. read more
If you've seen it cheaper, they will match the price, but if you haven't checked prices might pay up to 20% more than JB HiFi or Big W on some new release games. This isn't good, and undoubtably tricks some consumers into thinking they are getting a good deal when they are not. If you buy new games and play them quickly the Trade-In policy can work for you, since the trade in prices on new games are pretty decent. Sadly, this doesn't really work for me since I am a bit of a collector and often buy games months before I play them, by which time the trade-in value has dropped far enough that it doesn't seem worth it. The only reason I ever find to shop at EB is when the place with the best price is out of stock (even if you tell the staff this, they are still happy to match) or if it is otherwise out of your way to get to... Their pre-order policy is decent though, they let you secure your copy by pre-ordering and then will price match when you pick it up (as long as you check your prices). So price match away, but if you are paying sticker price, you probably aren't getting a great deal. read more

New Games? Ohh dear, this place is a tad expensive, and by a tad, I mean $10 - $20 more expensive then say, JB-HIFI which is a mere 30 Tiffany sized steps across the way (Yes I counted) However, if you do see it cheaper, and the store has it in stock, and is in reasonable distance - they will match the price. So, I suppose it all works out in the end *cue sunshine and rainbows* The store itself is always, ALWAYS plastered with sale banners, "Is there a sale at EB? I didn't know." Said no one, ever. The store is always busy after school lets out and the kids come meandering into town, however that is hardly the stores fault. The store is generally fairly clean and have a good rotation of games and stock, you can go in there one week, then the next - and they generally have different generic stock out, and the second hand games are changed around. The Loyalty card programme is also useful as it can store purchases and be used as a receipt of purchase, rather than keep receipts, which we all know fade and crumble before the warranty is out. You can advance in levels which helps with trade in offers and the like, however Its only useful if you are a regular and buying from the store every other week. The staff are pretty friendly, some even going out of their way to initiate a good ten minute conversation with me from time to time. I appreciate that sort of thing, developing a nice bond with your customers. Overall, it is one of the more busier EB Game franchises, but it also has some of the more friendlier staff available. read more

If it's not Gametraders it's EB Games my son drags me into and it does work both ways, I want to do some shopping for me, then he can have a look in here. For a longer shopping expedition he can even buy something from EB Games...how's that for bribery! Works a treat everytime, but I try not to make a habit of it. Anyway, both stores mentioned above are much of a muchness and the prices are similar as they both check one another out on a regular basis. EB Games is like one big billboard advertisement as it's quite in your face with banners, stickers, massive sales signs everywhere, very flashy a bit like JB HIFI - in case you haven't noticed. I just hope they don't get any wavy, bendy air people flayling about or disco strobe lights happening or loud music happening, that would be a nightmare and our business will go elsewhere..so please don't do it EB! The range is huge with Xbox, PS3, Nintendo and for PC's, new and used, There's almost always a long line up when there's a new game out or people are collecting their preordered items just out. A very popular hangout for gamers, mums and dads. read more

EB games, many girls would like to burn you down for stealing their boyfriends. I on the other hand love you. Not only do you supply my boyfriend with endless entertainment, but I get to play the games too. Always happy to match prices, trade games and give you endless information regarding products, EB games is the go to place for gamers. This particular shop is my favourite, it's huge and neatly laid out, plus JB HIFI is directly opposite so it's always a must when down Rundle Mall. Staff are helpful and always trying to find you the best deal. They're gamers so they want you to have the best stuff or they're letting themselves down. I often scout around other stores to check out game prices but always end up buying here. read more

Great service from Dylan the store manager. Had a laugh, helped me find what I was looking for and actually listened to what I had to say. He recommended to save money I should trade in my old games and I think I actually will. I probably have a few I haven't played in a while and probably wont play again so why not. read more
