Here is the mortgage paperwork...but we don't file it with the recorders office, that comes after you payoff the loan. You own your house...nope because the mortgage was never filed! You have a negative life changing event? Too bad...but we have rentals from our rental side. They are terrible places in terrible areas with overpriced rent. I'm hoping g their karma caught up with them. All their 10 different websites are not working any longer. I even warned a new couple there for the first time and I hated to do it because they were so excited. I told them, ask them if they file the mortgage with the Clerk. They came out and thanked me wmfor the warning and they saw threw John's whole scam. At least I saved one family. OH! And don't worry, when they go to court to evict you from the house they said "you own" you don't have to be there or even hire your own lawyer because John is a lawyer and it is really a quick and simple proceeding and he can take care of all of it. God we were so stupid.

I do not think that this company can be trusted. Avenue's site states: "Low Fee Guarantee - We…read morematch any competing proposal fee for comparable service. We won't be beat on fees." Avenue does not keep its word. I was in talks with Avenue, as I was considering using them as property manager for my rental. Per the request of the Avenue employee I was speaking with, I sent him a leasing agreement I had with a competing property management company. I did this to see if Avenue would actually stand by their word and make good on their "low fee guarantee." After talking with me on the phone about it, the Avenue employee actually agreed with me that my lease with this other company was an "apples to apples" comparison with their own. However, he said that they would charge me more than the other company. In other words, they would not honor their own guarantee. They do not keep their word. Also, there are multiple fake positive reviews of this company. I'm 99% sure that some of these fake reviews were posted by their employees. I would advise staying away from this company.

I applied, paid the fee for my spouse and I, got a denial within two days. No working with "me" whatsoever. I felt as if it was a bit predatory, egging me on as if the process was well on its way. Made inquiry a week prior to move-in to verify schedule, and requested to see inside the place. The amount of work needed to get the property move-in ready was going to require a lot more than one week & someone's security deposit to accomplish. We requested to opt out of the lease, offering to pay for time & effort spent on the contract & cover vacancy until a new tenant was found, thinking a partial refund would be justified. No discussion was allowed & our deposit was forfeited in its entirety. Perhaps strictly legal, but felt a good bit unethical given the difference in the condition of the property six weeks apart, and our flexibility on the advertised availability. Expensive lesson: Rigid & Ruthless wins the day.
