I mean when 3 kids who like very different meals and have a hard time appreciating the meals they receive and are all excited and even say the burger is 'the greatest burger in the world' that means a lot to us. Smiley was making us smile in our hearts and bellies. Food was decent, however my kids, all under the age of 18, did not receive the promised free cookie at the end of the meal. The waiter was moody, and once again didn't give my children their cookie. I had to drive all the way home hearing their cry's about their cookie. Honest to god, one of the WORST dining out experiences we've ever had. Ever. EVER. Waitress was a disaster. She took quite a while to even come by our table, was very scatter brained and actually gave us the wrong check when we were done. We paid the bill (on the wrong check), she brought the right check and we had to figure out the new total... Onto to the food, we ordered scrambled eggs and were served omelette consistency eggs. Told our server the eggs were not scrambled, she kept saying "I'll go smack the chef in the head". Ummm ... Eggs brought out again NOT SCRAMBLED. Twice we were given not scrambled but literally omelette-hard eggs. I pointed it out again and she said again, "I'll go smack the chef in the head." Horrible food, wrong bill, lousy service. Had lunch here the other day. They still do not have their salad bar and buffet open. But the waitress told us this coming week they're opening their breakfast buffet. Eat'n Park is a staple of Southwestern Pennsylvania. I used to come to this location many, many, many times while living here so it was nice to be able to stop back on my most recent visit home. The front is still the same, it's got the register, the area to buy cookies, pies, and more. The strawberry pies still looking amazing I might add. We were immediately seated and immediately greeted by a very nice waitress. Drink orders were taken, and I noticed they still had those small clear glasses- some things don't change. I was simple and ordered from the salad bar. I got the broccoli cheese soup which was really watery. The chicken noodle made up for it with its big hearty noodles and large chunks of chicken. Initially there were no plates on the buffet which obviously made it difficult to eat anything, but once that issue was resolved we were smooth sailing. The buffet was pretty clean, and although it's small, it served its purpose. Two meals for around $19 including a beverage is a pretty good find if you ask me. Eat'n Park will always be okay in my book and will always be the place for smiles. read more

Stay away from this place. I very rarely like to use that sentence about any restaurant/diner but this place is atrocious. Would give a solid 0 stars if possible but I gave 1 additional to the 1 minimum to the manager/waitress. Health concerns mentioned below (uh oh). I ordered an omelette with turkey sausage and pancakes... Ended up getting 3 sunny side up eggs with a waffle. I didn't say anything to the waitress about my meal because she was an older lady and felt bad because she was pretty busy. The point where I knew coming to this place was a mistake is when I found a hair cooked into my food?!? (picture attached). I think that's the drawing point of where someone can tolerate their meal that they're paying for. My friends life was pretty miserable as well. He can't eat pork and ordered turkey sausage but was given an accidental amount of bacon bits in his omelette along with 3 regular sausage patties. He asked for a new one due to religious reasons but after 40 minutes they gave him an omelette that wasn't made properly. His pancakes went soggy too so he couldn't eat those either. Went to the manager and complained so he didn't charge my friend for his meal. Only reason I have 2 stars is because 1 is the minimum and the manager/waitress helped about a bit so I gave an additional star. STAY AWAY AND GO TO IHOP! read more

Went here 3 days in a row during road trip. Enjoyed the food and staff tremendously. The employees were extremely kind and made the entire experience worth while. I ate at the Uniontown Eat'n Park for the first time today. I had the salad bar and I was very disappointed in the selections. The salad bar is tiny, the food was bland and definitely lacking. The waitresses were friendly, but very overworked. It took 15 minutes just to get a napkin. I never did get lemon for my drink. Other diners had to wait a long time for drinks so I didn't complain. I have to say this place was just "meh" for me this trip. We were visiting family and I wanted a quick and easy breakfast buffet where I could get some different options and just have a solo breakfast. The lack of 5 stars is mainly for the buffet and food. The best thing about the restaurant was the service. My server was very friendly, welcoming, and kept my drinks filled. She was busy with other diners, but still kept attention on me and checking to see if I was happy. The food was lacking in both flavor and size, and texture. I tried a little of everything on the buffet and nothing really hit me that tasted really good. It was all average food, and this was not what I heard about this place and the amount of people talking about how good the food is. I guess if I go again it will be to order food that is not from the buffet and see if that helps. The service was great and the people working were friendly. This is a good go to/standard restaurant - especially the Uniontown location. It's always busy, which tells me it appears to be a local favorite. The prices are very reasonable, and the food is above board. I always enjoy the vast, nicely kept and very fresh salad bar. They have lots of different lettuce choices, a wide array of various side salads, as well as extra toppings. They offer practically everything one could think of to load on top of a salad. And,... because I am not a picky eater, my plate becomes quickly over loaded. The hot soups are always decent, and there are always three to choose from. The pies are what Eat and Park pride themselves on. They are pricey, but every type I have tried have been proven to be very tasty. I would go to an Eat and Patk any day over a comparable restaurant like Bob Evans or Denny's. read more

Went to Uniontown Eat n Park today 2-2-2019 around 11 am to get brunch. Food was very good I got a standard breakfast meal. Two scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns and a waffle smile. And the food was fantastic. When it comes to breakfast foods definitely well above their competitors. My boyfriend ordered a steak hoagie and fries, which he described as being exceptional. Plus I had a hot chocolate and he had a Pepsi. Total came to $24.00 which is rather affordable compared to other restaurants in the area. My complaint was with the service. I've come to this eat n park in the past and have had much better service than I experienced today. Our waitress was super slow and she pretty much ignored us. She came over three times when we first got there to take our order and delivered our food and our drinks and that was it. Didn't see her after that until eventually we had to approach her when we seen her walk by for refills. Afterwards brought us our refills and our check together. Was not a fan of our waitress which was the reason for 3 stars. Food was tasty and so I plan to be back in the future. Hopefully, I'll get a different waitress next time. read more

Stay Classy Eat'n Park! Back again for another T-day in U-town. The staff never seems to change but the ladies are always smiley ( like the cookies!) and fast to refresh coffee or pick up straying crayons. They even gave Mr Bethany a smiley face cookie when he joked about being a "big kid". Went to eat here on a late Sunday evening when other restaurants were closed and was happily surprised with the excellent service and the delicious potato soup and brown bread. Our waitress was a young brunette with a short pixie hair cut and went out of her way to make a pleasant dining experience for us. And on the way out the cashier asked if we were traveling and if we showed her our room key she would take 10% off our bill. This place is always busy. I have only been to the breakfast buffet. They have the standard fair. 2 items to note the sausage patty's were the sausage and some filler that they add? Not at all tasty. My husband and I are from out of town and in the area for the weekend. We wanted a relatively inexpensive breakfast and were extremely pleased with eat-n-park. Even though the parking lot was packed we were seated right away, staff was friendly, food came out quickly. Everything was hot and delicious. I highly recommend the bananas foster French toast. Even the restrooms were probably the cleanest we've seen at a restaurant of this price point. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. read more

There's nothing special or exciting about this place but it is consistently good. Every time we're out this way we stop here to eat. We have never had a bad experience. The restroom are kept clean. Food is hot and fresh. It's hard to find a place that can keep hitting a consistent good mark these days. The staff have always been friendly and kind. Their hiring manger most have high standards. I've always had good experiences at these places, but not this one. Went in for an early Sunday brunch. The place was fairly full but not packed. I had to wait an extremely long time for a server to give me a menu. Others seated after me were served their drinks before I got a menu. The buffet was yucky. The eggs were runny. The breakfast potatoes had a strange, slimy yellow liquid on them. The bacon was hard as a rock. The French toast was half cold. I would never eat here again! read more
