I've come to Eataly before to get a sandwich or pizza and it's been really good. I finally had the chance to come by and eat in their restaurant with some friends and it was nice. We ordered the Bruschetta ($17) (Toasted Sourdough Bread, Whipped Ricotta, Roasted Butternut Squash, Urbani Black Truffle Honey) to share and it was really good! For my own meal, I ordered the lasagna ($27) as the waiter stated it was the most popular pasta they had. I don't usually order lasagna but I'm happy I did because it was really good! We also ordered the Polpette Della Nonna ($22 - $5.50 per meatball?!) (meatballs) to share, which were just okay. Honestly, the service & food were really good, but it did seem expensive for what we got. I would come back, but only if a friend or colleague really wanted to come. I understand they use fresh ingredients and it's all under a big name brand.. but I could get more from my money elsewhere.

Not sure what the hype is about this place... Mediocre food at fancy restaurant pricing, but it doesn't feel fancy because it's also a market? This location is also confusing, not sure if the others are as well. If you're coming in from mall side, you'll have to walk in and pass the dining area, to the "front" hostess. For reference, this meal (plus 1 $9 bottle flat water, 1 peroni, 1 coffee) for 2 adults and 1 child was $200. Not worth it, imo. The only saving grace is the kind service and incredible desserts! I would return just for their desserts! We got salads and mains for 2, and kids meal for my little one. The salads we asked for recommendation from our server, and they were just ok. No fault of our server as preferences are subjective. Unfortunately, the mains were just as disappointing. Salads: Insalata di cavolo nero 3.5/5 Another salad with beets, but don't recall the name, 3/5 Lasagna ai funghi: 4/5 Flavour was pretty good but got an edge piece, and much of it was dried (the pasta, not the "crispy" artichoke) and shriveled. Linguine allo scoglio: 2/5 The seafood tasted like they were boiled separately and tossed at the end. There was no fusion of flavours between the pasta and the seafood. I love seafood pasta, and this did not make the cut for me. The kids meal, was a choice of pizza or pasta. We were happy to see the pizzas could be shaped. My little one picked the bunny and chose mushroom add-on. I believe the kids meal was $15 and add-on $3.99. Dessert not included in the kids meal. I wish the drinks option included kid-friendly varieties such as milk, not just sodas. (I believe they were lime and blood orange san pellegrino.) Dessert; the saving grace of our subpar dining experience. They actually make incredible desserts! 6/5! Coppa Gelato al cioccolato: Very strong hazelnut flavour, smooth and creamy, very well done. Amalfi: Incredible lemon cake parfait with the perfect ratio of cake, cream, meringue, and crunchy cookie. The cookie layer was the (figurative) cherry on top!

As a first time goer, this is a shopping and dinning restaurant. You can buy lots of Italian products like bottled pasta sauces, pastas, wines and baked items, and then dine in. All in one spot. It's clean. The service is great I got a fantastic server she knew the menu and was really attentive. After placing my order the food did take a while. The drinks are a must. Now to the food. It was just ok. Nothing magical for me. Nothing to brag about. But fresh.

I always love all Eataly locations and experiences. The wait time was really long for this location on a weekend evening. But I guess that's normal. We wanted quicker seat so asked to sit at bar. Bar is beautiful; whole venue always is. Food was good- but not the best I've had at this chain - not sure if it's this location, or the way they made it this time, or the selections I chose. The pizza was not as soft-falling-on-my-fingers as I had before. And dessert on special - this house made gelato - way too sweet. Didn't like it. But still overall enjoyed it; atmosphere always so beautiful.

This is the second Toronto Eataly location in Sherway Gardens inside the store. Food (4/5) - they have a fairly sizeable menu of food and drink options including pizza pasta appetizers mains etc. Had the Margherita Pizza and it was not bad. Napoli style so soft in the middle and thin crust with a nice bit of burn. San Marzano sauce was nice with just right amount of tang. Service (3/5) - it was definitely on the slower side - a wait for tables so I sat at the bar. Bartender was friendly and took my order fairly quickly. Took a bit to get the pizza though and also the bill. It looked like others were waiting awhile for meals and bills imo. Atmosphere (4.25/5) - it's a good layout with a mix of tables and seats... clean and semi upscale feel. Overall (3.75/5) - it's got potential tbh... service seems to be their weak spot though and dropped my rating for that reason. I would give it another shot though and try out some other items.

November 7/2025: Dinner with the Al. This was a rather disappointing visit to the Eataly at Sherway Gardens Mall. The ambiance was very cafeteria like. Open kitchen concept which made for a very loud & busy restaurant. Our server "John" was a very nice fella but the service level was barely acceptable. He forgot our water. Took forever to place our order and just as long to see the arrival of our table bill. The food itself was expensive & unimpressive. The calamari ($24.00) was small & had little actual calamari. My Peroni beer ($10.00) wasn't as cold as it should have been. My main was shared/split between me & my wife. Both had pizzas, mine was the mushroom ($25.00) & the other was the Diavola ($26.00). Both were just ok but not as great or as well done as they should have been or as I asked for to be done. The highlight of the meal was the Tiramisu ($16.00). It was light, tasty & downright delicious! P.S. The menu font size was WAY too small to be readable.

Eataly Ristorante's menu focuses on Italian classics with an extensive array of appetizers, pasta, pizza, and main dishes. The cavolo nero salad ($17) uses a base of Tuscan kale that's mixed with shaved Brussel sprouts for crunch. While I would have liked a bit more of the pecorino dressing on the leaves, at least it was well incorporated and went nicely with the golden raisins. The addition of crushed garlic breadcrumbs added texture that augments an otherwise common kale salad. I was glad to see their tagliatelle alla Bolognese ($29) was heavy on the meat and light on tomato. It was just disappointingly tasteless. Having had the same dish at their Yorkville location, Sherway's portion size was smaller and stingy on the sauce. The Prosciutto e rucoloa pizza ($28) incorporated too much mozzarella. I know what you're thinking: can there ever be too much cheese?! Yes, if starts to congeal into a globe than there's too much cheese. The timing of when the arugula was added to the pizza also was poorly chosen, causing the leaves to be bound into the mozzarella. And even though there wasn't too much tomato sauce, somehow the crust was still soft and soggy at the centre. Something also seemed off about the Prosciutto... it didn't taste fresh. Don't get me wrong, it was likely fine as I had no stomach issues after the meal, but there was a slight odour or taste that just didn't resemble the typical 18-month cured ham. With the glowing review our waitress gave the tiramisu di Eataly ($15), I was excited for the dessert as it incorporates a special mascarpone cream not found at the bakery version. And I'll admit, as the cream is poured tableside, and the plastic barrier is removed so it oozes over the cake, there's a showmanship to the presentation... whether it really added that much to the cake? I can't tell. Firstly, the tiramisu was extremely sweet - possibly because of the additional crème sauce - and lacked espresso flavours. The lady fingers hardly seemed "soaked" in espresso as noted on the menu. Still, it wasn't a terrible dessert. I liked the cake to crème ratio. If only they decreased the sugar and increased the caffeine. I'm not a fan of chocolate, especially not chocolate pudding, but must admit that if I did like that dessert Eataly's budino al cioccolato ($12) would be wonderful. Thick, creamy, and rich the budino satisfies like a truffle by the spoonful. The layer of crumbled Devil's food cake on the bottom was great for texture and they should consider incorporating more of it. And the sticky chocolate glaze on top not only helped with presentation but gave a fudgy swirl to the dessert. Alas, it was cloyingly sweet so that a teaspoon was all I could handle. Eataly contains tons of tables so you wouldn't think it'd be difficult to score a spot for a weekday lunch. Yet, with only two hostesses expect a wait just to be shown to an empty table. The time to placing an order and getting our food improves, but when it comes to paying trying to find someone is like hunting for Waldo.

So we visited Eataly on a Saturday evening, after making online reservations , we were there 25 mins early and of course being Saturday night it was super busy and if know it, so should the restaurant management. But they were running behind ( like even after reservations, tables were not available, and there was a queue of people at the reservation desk) really? What is the point of online reservations then? My husband requested a couple of times as we had a 5 year old and 4 months old to get a table on time, luckily the server considered it and provided us a table after non much of a delay. Service: again there was such a rush , seriously serving was affected adversely as well. We kept chasing our server, we weren't served until one hour after we sat down, the server was so unavailable, that we couldn't ask him questions/recommendations about food, and couldn't even order my drink. He never came back . And anyways everything was spoiled as my 4 months by 1.5 hours by the table got fussy, and we didn't have any clam dining experience. Good news I didn't order my drink. Lol. Food was A-okay, i mean the mushroom ragu ( was dry) fancy word for just mixd mushroom on the oiled pasta. We had to wait to get pepper, no cheese , that too after asking . Butternut squash ravioli was good. We ordered 2 sides with our 3 prefix menus, the beet tartuffo was great but polenta fries were too dry, no sauce or dip. Again seriously??? Now Burrata, which last time served with ratatouille ( not sure Italian name of it) was good. This time served with burned zucchini chips and a hint of pesto was way to blend. Butternut squash and ricotta bruschetta were decent. But they are good for date as well as family. They have nice dining areas depending on what kind of party you are

The quality of the food is good, however, the portions are small compared to what I expected. We ordered a pasta and the branzino to share. Both were good however not anything spectacular. I've had Bronzino for the same price at other restaurants and it was double the size. Service was also slow, as they seem to be very busy and hard to flag down. We had to grab our own menus and more water ourselves. A serviceable meal.

I can't speak for everything on offer at this place, but the tiramisu croissant is top notch. It's over $7, but still.

Smooth and delicious gelato! There are different pastries, Italian delicacies to try, including a pizza restaurant inside. We tried three scoops of gelato - Pistachio is a must try! Hazelnut and passion fruit are also very good! If you're looking for an Italian fix, you need to stop by Eataly. Quite busy on a weekend so expect to wait a little if you don't have a restaurant reservation. Otherwise it's a great spot to pick up some Italian ingredients.

I've been here twice already and I enjoyed both times. I like that it's a store but then there's also a restaurant. Our server was lovely, very attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered a non alcoholic drink and it was good but it was a bit sweet for my liking. I also ordered the zucca pasta and it was good however, I wish the plate had more pasta and I wish it was a sauce (red or white) instead of just butter and sage. The ice cream was delicious and a great portion size, definitely a highlight.

We've been to Eataly a few times since it opened and I can't say I've ever had my socks knocked off. The food isn't bad, exactly, but given the price point of many of these items, I would hope the dishes would be more than just decent. On a recent visit, we decided to share a breakfast croissant called the Cornetto Uovo e Pancetta. It contained a frittata, cheese, and bacon. In theory, it should've been delicious. However, it was served to us completely cold in the middle. The egg was clammy and the bacon was chewy. It was an odd choice that transformed it into something you'd get at a gas station. Very disappointing. Far better was the cannelloni, which was freshly piped with a pistachio filling. The shell was nice and crispy, and that filling was sweet but not cloyingly so. The pistachio flavor was a big winner, too. I feel like the problems at Eataly stem from poor training to the various employees. If they'd just try a little harder, this would be a fantastic culinary destination at Sherway.
