Lively, but not loud. We had a nice chat with our server, Flavia, who turned out to be the "boss's (Fabio Pezzoli) daughter", and a delightful young woman! Fabio sent out a complimentary bruschetta for us to enjoy with our wine as we settled in. After hearing the specials and scouring the menu we ordered a pizza and a house made fettuccine with a creamy parmesan black pepper truffle sauce. Served with sliced truffles, it was a superb dish! I can honestly say that it was one of the best pasta dishes in recent memory! The pizza was thin, crispy and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert, I enjoyed an espresso and a perfect panna cotta. Caroline simply enjoyed her wine. We closed the restaurant after visiting with Fabio and his friend, a well-known local writer Erik Fosnes Hansen. It was a memorable evening and I'd not only highly recommend this local treasure, but would return in a heartbeat if in Oslo.

The special of the day is the way to go, but I'm convinced that everything there is just as good. Everything is around 150-200, with the special at 139. After being in Norway for 2 weeks, we think it's pretty reasonable. Onto the food - The first night I had a thin crusted veggie pizza, which was fresh, full of veggies, and delicious. The special of that day was lamb stew with potatoes, and it came with a side of spiced rice. I had a taste of the special and really wish I had extra room in my stomach to accommodate another entree. The second night's special was lasagna, which I did get. The noodles tasted handmade, as it was tender and flavorful. There were thin layers of bechamel and mild red sauce, and neither overwhelmed the other. It was comforting and made me feel at home away from home. Our meals came with a side of green salad, Turkish bread (yum!), ezme and tzatziki. The bread + tzatziki combo is amazing. The service was fine. The servers will come bring menu to you, take your order, bring water, bring salad/bread, and finally your food. It was a little hard to get their attention during the meal. I highly recommend this place, and my friends and I agree that we will miss this place when we are gone.

We were staying in this neighborhood overnight before flying out early in the morning and got really lucky. This place wasn't even that busy, which was surprising, because it was really really good and reasonably priced. I had a mixed plate of grilled meats, all of which were super delicious.... I literally ate everything on the plate. The husband had some pasta, that was decent, but this isn't really a pasta place ... They also serve awesome bread and dips to start, yummmm. We had an apple cake for dessert that was also fairly decent. I hadn't had Turkish food before, So I was very pleasantly surprised. I would highly recommend it!

We sat outside and hoped to look like a fellow Norwegian enjoying the night, the food, the drink and the company. Had the hanger steak with arugula salad. It had a chimi sauce. I liked the seating location as it faces the "Y" of a main road. One can see the people, tram and car traffic going by. Very friendly staff and attentive. We decided to sit inside because it was more private, since everybody was dining outside. Now their menu options are limited. I ended up ordering Italian meat soup. I absolutely disliked this soup. The owner / manager explained that they cook it exactly the way Italian meat soup is done. It might be the case, but it just tasted to strong and pungent. I let my friend tried a bit and she didn't like it either. I just think it was a flavor that Americans are not used to. My friend ordered the oxtail ravioli. That was actually really good. Service here wasn't great either. Apparently that's a common complain. Anyways I ended up spending $20 on a bowl of soup I detested.
