We have a short stay here in Oslo before going home and are staying in Grønland. We kind of stumbled upon this Italian Turkish restaurant and it was so good that we came back again the next night.
The special of the day is the way to go, but I'm convinced that everything there is just as good. Everything is around 150-200, with the special at 139. After being in Norway for 2 weeks, we think it's pretty reasonable.
Onto the food - The first night I had a thin crusted veggie pizza, which was fresh, full of veggies, and delicious. The special of that day was lamb stew with potatoes, and it came with a side of spiced rice. I had a taste of the special and really wish I had extra room in my stomach to accommodate another entree. The second night's special was lasagna, which I did get. The noodles tasted handmade, as it was tender and flavorful. There were thin layers of bechamel and mild red sauce, and neither overwhelmed the other. It was comforting and made me feel at home away from home.
Our meals came with a side of green salad, Turkish bread (yum!), ezme and tzatziki. The bread + tzatziki combo is amazing.
The service was fine. The servers will come bring menu to you, take your order, bring water, bring salad/bread, and finally your food. It was a little hard to get their attention during the meal.
I highly recommend this place, and my friends and I agree that we will miss this place when we are gone. read more
