This evening a man was at the counter arguing that he had placed an order and paid but the waitress kindly stated that she could find no record of his purchase. Recently went to check out this restaurant and from the start felt duped by AI. Since the website…read moreprovided an option to reserve a table and the pictures led me to think it was somewhat like a fine dining restaurant, I was surprised to find a pizzeria with wait staff. We decided to try it anyway maybe the food was really good. Here is what we found. The good - Cannoli was delicious, pizzas were well made and tasted good. The bad - The chairs were sunken in the middle so it felt like you were sitting on the wood of the edges (uncomfortable), many of the calzones listed on the menu are actually strombolis and were merely okay, the pasta dishes tasted like Chef Boyardee boxed or canned heated in a microwave, tea was more like brown water, there is an unmarked step into the bathroom which came close to creating a bad fall, the wait staff was disorganized and bordered on unprofessional (drinks and food came out one or two at a time, some of us were done eating before the others even got their food and the food was not worth the wait), the menu was expansive but not in a good way (too much stuff and none done well), and everything was overpriced. All in, the bill was close to $200 and I could have ordered and enjoyed the same food from a local pizza chain for least than half the price and it would have been tastier.

Little Sicily - A Mediterranean Hug After a Long Day on the Trails…read more After hiking all day, stumbling upon Little Sicily felt like the universe handing us a tiny edible gift. Beckley surprised us once again, this spot turned out to be such a delicious treasure that we kept coming back like well-trained food pilgrims. The food was fantastic. Truly. Some of the best chicken shawarma, hummus, and tabouli I've had in ages, fresh, flavorful, and made with clear love. The kind of meal that makes your tired hiking muscles perk up and whisper, "Oh yes, this is the good life." Service was friendly, warm, and helpful with recommendations, the kind of staff who genuinely wants you to enjoy what you order. Honestly, I found myself wishing we had a place like this back home so I could grab big platters for a party and impress everyone without lifting a finger. A traveler can dream. A great little spot, comforting and delicious, exactly what you hope to find when you're hungry, tired, and ready to be fed well.

A small unassuming building and decor but AMAZING food! Lots of Italian fare but I had a hankering…read morefor Mediterranean so I got the kebab sampler. First on the table was fresh pita, hot and puffy right out of the oven. Second was a side salad with romaine, olives and tomatoes- no iceberg lettuce here ( I dislike iceberg lol ). Finally was the sampler. House made hummus and tzatziki sauce, grilled veggies, more pita, and rice. Beef, chicken, and kofta kebabs were all flavorful and TENDER. Usually kebabs are tough and overcooked. Not here, this is the best kebabs I've ever had. For dessert: Tiramisu! Light and delicious with balance of espresso and chocolate. Waitress was friendly with timely service, often checking up on us . Highly recommend this restaurant- a culinary masterpiece!!
