I love Eataly and so having a smaller version of it in the neighborhood works. I think it makes sense for the neighborhood to have a cafe which offers seating like this - you can work from there, have a coffee date with friends there or just grab lunch to go. Note that it is usually busier during lunch hours. I do recommend the gelato and the pizzas!

I want to love you Eataly Caffe, I really do, but $9-17 for a slice of pizza is just too much. Ok the $16.90 slice is with shaved mortadella and an entire ball of fresh, pillowy burrata, but still...the $8.90 not incl tax and tip price for a slice of margherita feels egregious even in this age of inflation, especially since Eataly's aggressive international expansion makes it look like no struggling mom and pop store trying to make rent. In any case, getting to the store itself--located on the NW corner of 78th Street and Third Ave, compared to a full-sized Eataly, it's a casual layout with a reduced offering of ready-to-eat and takeout food. From right to left there are chilled salads, drinks and sandwiches, a long counter with pizzas slices, room temp sandwiches, calzones and the like, followed by a baked goods display case filled with delectable-looking pastries, (croissants, cannoli, bomboloni, fruit tarts, rum baba, cake slices, etc), then a drinks (coffee and teas) counter. To the left of the store is a gelato counter, also store merch, souvenirs and chocolate bonbons by the quarter pound ($14 per quarter pound!). The front of the store facing the street has plenty of cafe seating and standing room, maybe enough for around 40-50 people, it's pretty large. Brightly lit with full length windows along the front of the store. Restrooms available.

Such a cute, bright new cafe on the UES! Stopped by Sunday evening to grab a light dinner and catch up with a friend. There were a lot of different options: prepared foods in the fridge section (soups, salads); pizzas, sandwiches, and pastries in the bakery cases; coffee and hot chocolate; and a gelato/candy section. I got the Margherita Rivisitata and bolognese pizza Romano slices and asked for them to be heated up - they were perfectly crispy and the pesto was delicious. The ambiance was great - bright, lively, and warm. There were plenty of tables and seats available, from couches/booths to high tops.

This place has grown on me-- but everything is hit or miss. Some things great, some things really not. Hopefully it will become more consistent!

If you want a nice space to sit in with somewhat loud music to work unimpeded on your laptop where the staff is nice behind the counter and don't bother you at your table, or you need to make a pit stop while waiting for your appointment at the Greek embassy, this place is great. But do NOT buy the candy. It looks so colorful and inviting on the huge display, but it costs $14 per quarter of a pound, (that's $56 a pound), all tastes basically the same, like creamy fudge, no actual nut pieces for the nut flavors, and it's not even fresh; I was horrified to find two pieces were chalky and ruined. Note that the code for the single individual bathroom is found on the door itself. This place is excessively expensive, so buyer beware.

Small outpost of Eataly on the UES. It has prepared salads, sandwiches, pizza and pastries. You can order coffee drinks and gelato. There is a lovely area to sit down. I had an expertly prepared latte and relaxed with my wife. Prices are typical for the UES. The vibe is great- hope it stays that way. This cafe doesn't compete head to head with more dedicated food stores like Citarella's or Butterfields. Angelina's may have something to worry about, because it's smaller. Nice addition to the neighborhood.

I love having Eataly in the neighborhood! Just had a perfectly made cappuccino and croissant this morning. Great ambiance and the manager is so friendly from Napoli. There's nothing like an Italian in a cafe or restaurant adding even more ambience. I bought 3 rum baba and 3 cannolis and lemon cake for Natale and my Mamma LOVED THEM! Delicious. My Sicilian husband "Don" Giovanni approved the rich creamy espresso too!

Found this hair in my coffee...

I used to like this place but I had a very bad experience here tuesday. I was the only one in line and waited for a couple minutes. There were two people standing talking by the pickup spot, a brunnette girl with glasses & a taller guy. When I went over the girl got annoyed at me and said you order by the register. No problem I ordered my coffee and croissant and she kept giving me an amnoyed look. I left went to work and about 1/3 into my coffee I found a long brown hair. I've been a barista. I know it is a thankless job but I always try to be polite and tip. Maybe she had a bad day but she has been a bit rude before & for $10 it isn't acceptable.

Too expensive. A lot of people just hanging around. Some look homeless. Food is mediocre.

Amavi is a great place to celebrate a birthday if you like a loud, DJ spinning, hookah smoking, over priced Mediterranean restaurant, this is the place for you. Now, this isn't to say this isn't a good place but be prepared. The food is decent, nothing to run and tell anyone about, except their Bronzino was absolutely delish! Standouts: branzino cooked to perfection, dangerously good pita (we ordered extra), and the shrimp skewer. The hanger steak and lobster arrabbiata (could've been spicier) were also hits. Chicken skewer? Just okay. We had thLychee martinis & Dreams of Amalfi Hazelnut bar, crème brûlée (we topped itwith melted chocolate from the cheesecake), and Dubai chocolate cheesecake On the pricier side, but worth it for the ambiance, service, and flavors. Perfect spot for date nights, birthdays & special moments.

Wow, this little shop is unassuming, it definitely catches the eye, especially for someone like me…read morewho loves Asian pastries. I've never tried a Japanese cheesecake before and was extremely excited to be able to pick up some treats for my coworkers as well as my partner's birthday cake from Keki. Ordering is fairly straightforward and done with a simple machine outfront. Once your order is ready one of the staff members hands it to you through a window; there is no inside area accessible to customers but our food came quickly and we took it back to the office. The cheesecake was fantastic. I read a bit about the background of the shop online and how the owner really cares about using high-quality ingredients, specifically dairy. It was justas described, light and bouncy. I enjoyed how it was not overly sweet and found that it was all too easy to devour the entire cake over the course of two days. Despite it not having much weight to it, it traveled surprisingly well as I took it home on my three train commute! Similar to what others have said, the real highlight of the shop, in my opinion, are their cream puffs. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the outer layer was thin yet had a nice little crunch to it. We tried the classic milk, cookies & cream pistachio and ube flavors. Our favorite was the pistachio by far, which had such a unique yet decadent flavor and our second favorite was the milk cream puff. There's not much else I can say other than you really have to go here and try the desserts yourself. If you're a fan of Japanese desserts that are rich yet not too sweet, you'll be a fan of Keki.

There are lots of other tart places that do something sinilar and didn't really think these were that memorable. But read this keeping in mind I didn't try to cake items so that product may be better if all you're looking for is a light fluffy dessert that's not too sweet. Try something else here! Just did take out option here so not much to ambiance or service from my experience to speak on.

We worked with Eric via email and he was great managing and making sure everything was settled ahead of the event. On the day of our lunch, we arrived around 20 minutes early and the table was already set up. We had two servers throughout the meal and they were lovely. They made sure everything was set up and we had everything we needed. For a large group reservation, they have a $60 minimum and you order everything ahead of time. (The afternoon tea set is mandatory for everyone to get). We had the afternoon tea set, caprese tarts and strawberry parfait for all attendees. The food was filling and tasty. Tea is always so good as well (I always get my Rose Lovers Milk Tea!) All in all, a great option for a group reservation in the city!

The size of both were the perfect amount since we just wanted something small to end the night. The ube crepe cake was really light and creamy. The ube flavor was pretty subtle, and I mostly tasted the cream. It's a perfect light dessert, but I would've liked the ube flavor to be stronger. The chocolate lava cake was super rich and decadent but also really delicious. I feel like it kinda battled with the ube crepe cake since they're total opposites. The staff were friendly. The interior was really cute and had a relaxing type of atmosphere that made it great for a nice place to sit, chat, and have dessert.
