Thieves! My experience is similar to others who posted negative reviews except I was robbed of my change! The guide (not salesperson) flat out refused to give me change. We bought the tour from one of those hawker stands on 5th Ave. We told them we do not speak a word of Spanish. The salesperson said we would have an English speaking guide and the group would be limited to 12 people. Those two were the only reasons why we booked. We genuinely wanted to learn about the history and culture. We booked and paid 55% of the total at the stand and was told to pay the remaining 45% to the guide. We were picked up at 7:40am and driven to an aggregation site and hopped on to a large 40+ seater van. 675 pesos was due and I only had 700 pesos. The driver took the money and no change. I asked for change and he said he doesn't speak English. I involved another passenger to help translate and was told the driver does not carry any change and I would be give change when I arrive at Chitchen Itza. Ok..... 1/2 bus was full when we left Playa de Carmen. We first arrived at a rest stop 45 mins later and was harassed by souvenir shops and a guy wanting to us to take pictures with a monkey. I was expecting this so it didn't bother me too much except that we waited for an hour? because they were waiting for more people to aggregate our bus. The restrooms there also didn't flush so it was very disgusting. So we finally left the run down rest stop at 10:30am. One the way, there was another guy who spoke about Chitchen Itza. He first asked if there were any English speaking passengers and my husband and I raised our hands. He then said well, you guys are asleep anyways so he spoke in Spanish. At first I thought he was joking about the sleeping thing but when he spoke 5 minutes of Spanish and no Englisg, I raised my hand and said, English please. He then said, you said you were sleeping and continued on in Spanish and totally disregarded us. Then he had the audacity to walk down the bus aisle and ask us for tip. First stop was the denote il ilk. It was beautiful but consistent with other reviews, we were given a total of one hour, which included time to dress, lock our stuff up, etc. there were long lines so we only got time for one dive and 5 mins of swimming. Lockers, life jackets, and towels were all extra. Lockers were 30 pesos and they actually ran out. I was the lucky one who got a locker and boy were the people behind me pissed! Next stop was lunch at 1:00pm. Good was ok. Drinks, including soda was not included. We got to Chitchen Itza at 2:30 and was given till 5:00 to get back on the bus. Our group had 40 people and one English guide. Boy was I pissed! I told our guide that I was told the group size was 12. He said there was another group that joined, shrugged and walked away. And the time was the hottest part of the day. Our Chitchen Itza guide (a different one) spent 50 mins talking and really did not do a good job. Before the tour started, he said he was paid by gratuity (so did Easy Tour not even pay him?) so please help him. But he did not really give a shxt and just talked when a few of the large group of 40 were still trying to catch up. I missed the beginning comments of each stop. I asked him if he could wait for all of us to reach the stop before he start his commentary and he gave a fussy fit. He gave me a huge attitude. He ended the tour at 50 minutes and did not even take us to the north end. The whole tour was suppose to be 2 hours, and it is even published at the entrance. If tip is so important to him, why didn't he even finish the tour? Next stop was 30 minutes at the city, unguided. We finally back to our hotel at 9:30pm hungry and without dinner. We are never doing this again. We were robbed, rudely treated directly and tired. We asked for our change and was given a shrug. Please, if you see Easy Tour as your operator, just cut your losses and try to salvage your day. Our vacation time in Mexico is limited so don't waste a day with Easy Tours. I would suggest you rent a car and go to the sites yourself. You can hire the guides directly at Chitchen Itza entrance for 750 pesos (published rate).

fixing atv with rock

we book an ATV trip on 5th avenue in Mexico, we were promised by Agen Tony that all ATV's will be new ones and 2020, when we arrived at the place where they take you for the trip we saw old and killed ATV's I didn't see those models for last 10 years. When we told them that we were promised a new ATV they said it cost more money and they don't have enough ATVs for our group that was #1). #2) they don't tell you at the beginning that you need eyes protection and a face mask from dust on the road. #3) there is a great chance to burn your legs because of those old ATVs, super-hot air is coming out from the side of the engine you barely can keep your legs near. #4) 2 of the ATVs that we got was in so terrible condition, one of the ATVs broken down during the trip, tour guy tried to fix it with a rock that he found on the road, and still atv didn't start, second ATVs battery cable was cut and tour guy had to connected to the battery to start the ATV. #5) They promised ATVs for 2 people, but they lied again, they gave us ATVs where clearly says one person only, and I did point out that, but some old guy look like the owner played stupid and was keep telling me this is for 2 people. there is no way you can place a child as a second person for a single ATV, I spoke with Easy Tours rep and told him this story and mentioned that I want the money back for one ATV since it was broken, he said you have to ask for your money back from the place where you got your ATVs, In my personal opinion DO NOT RENT FROM THEM ATVs. Not Safe at all. and if you do with other companies use credit cards only.

Do not give this guy your money!!

While we were there we went through several ziplines, snorkeled through ancient cenotes, rappelled, and got to eat some delicious and authentic Mexican food. No phone are allowed during this portion, but there are lockers available to store your things. Our 2nd stop was at the Coba ruins, where we saw the Mayan temples in the town of Coba. It was a long walk to the main temple, but it was a cool experience and beautiful architecture to see. The whole trip was an all day adventure, but well worth it! Definitely recommend if your looking to learn about the culture of the area and the people who live here! :-)

** Unforgettable Private Tour - Adrian Is the Best!**…read more My wife and I booked the private tour to Chichen Itza and Ek Balam, and it was the highlight of our trip. Our guide, Adrian, was outstanding: knowledgeable, passionate, and clearly proud to share the real history and culture of the Maya people. He brought both sites to life in a way no guidebook could, and we never felt rushed. Climbing Ek Balam and standing in front of El Castillo with someone who truly knows the story behind every stone was incredible. We were so impressed that we booked a second tour with him the very next day to see the Tulum ruins before our afternoon flight. He planned it perfectly, so we got a full experience and still made it to the airport with no stress. Professional, personable, flexible, and genuinely kind. It was worth every penny. Whenever we're back in Mexico, we'll book with Adrian and Living Dreams Mexico again and again. Highly recommend! -- Kevin & Sureni

Our group comprised of three families with adults, teens, and young children. It was all of our first times traveling to Cancun so I wanted to find a private tour for my large group. Booking with them through their website was easy and they were very quick to communicate via email. Leading up to the tour, we had some travel delays, but after updating Rod and their team of our situation, they were very accommodating. Kat was our guide and Pepe was our driver. Kat was informative during our guided walk of Chichen Itza and also accommodating of our last minute concerns and needs. Pepe was a great driver and got us to our destinations swiftly and safely. Marveling at the ruins at Chichen Itza and learning more about the history of Mayan culture and the way life might have been like at the time was very interesting. Kat took photos during our entire tour and later shared them via Google. A plus for our group as we LOVE photos. On our way to Cenote Samaal, we requested a stop for some fresh coconut water. They were quick to find a vendor on the side of the road. Pepe also got out and helped cut the coconuts for the 12 of us. Very impressed with his initiative and helpfulness. The coconuts were so refreshing after walking around in the sun at Chichen Itza! Admission, locker access, life jackets, and lunch were provided for us at Cenote Samaal. Everyone in our group enjoyed swimming in the cenote. The lunch buffet was a favorite among the adults in our group as we got to get a taste of Yucatan cuisine. There was something for everyone on this tour and I would highly recommend this company to anyone traveling to Cancun and wanting to get more than just a tour of Chichen Itza, but an experience of what the Yucatan area has to offer. We will definitely be touring with them again when we're back for our next Cancun adventure!

He singled me out by asking if I was an expert swimmer and proceeded to draw the cross and say he is going to sacrifice me when I said my swimming was so so. The ATV guide mislead us into believing we are going to be on our own and very likely to damage the ATV or collide into something and be on the hook for thousands of dollars in damages. Instead the ATV tour involved everyone driving in a singular line behind the guide at a medium speed where it would be impossible to crash or damage the car. I do not recommend this company and their packages; there are many others I have tried in the past with friendly guides who are polite and caring who offered to take photos to help us take nice photos away as memories.

I tend to get anxious about new experiences, but I always try to push myself--knowing I'll be happy I did afterward. When you arrive, check-in takes place in a hidden, lush area with benches. A short video plays so you can get an idea of what Rio Secreto is all about. After that, you check in, sign your waivers, and meet your guide for the day. We totally lucked out--our guide, George, was incredible! The guide makes all the difference. George was full of life, personality, and knowledge. He truly immersed us in the caves and shared so much about Mayan culture. I can't say enough nice things about him! Your guide then takes you by van to the Rio Secreto caves, about a 15-minute drive on an unpaved, natural, and bumpy road. I don't get carsick, but if you're prone to it, you may want to take something beforehand. The ride itself is scenic and surrounded by lush greenery. Once you arrive, you'll find lockers, showers, bathrooms, and seating areas. Be prepared to remove all jewelry, as it's not allowed in the caves--the water must remain pure. You'll take a quick shower before putting on your wetsuit and water shoes (they provide them, or you can bring your own). You'll also wear a helmet with a light. The facility is extremely clean and well-maintained. I was genuinely impressed by how often they sanitized the equipment, floors, and bathrooms. Once you're geared up, you take about a 10-minute walk to the caves. Before entering, you'll participate in a beautiful Mayan ceremony meant to cleanse your spirit--and take a quick group photo. Important tip: You cannot bring your cell phone! Let it go and just enjoy the moment. A photographer will take pictures throughout the tour, and trust me, it's worth it. Walking and swimming through the caves while listening to George share stories about the Mayans, the legends, and the discovery of Rio Secreto was truly magical. The water is cool at first, but you get used to it quickly. Floating through the crystal-clear water surrounded by stunning cave formations took my breath away. After the tour, you're treated to a delicious meal--including handmade tortillas! An amazing day and an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend Rio Secreto!

We were picked up from our resort right at 7 am and then we made our way to the Cancun Adventures office to wait for two other couples from other resorts. This ended up taking quite a bit of time, but thankfully there is a coffee shop next door where we got some caffeine and a snack. They did offer us cold bottled water and bananas on the bus (I would bring extra snacks because by the time we finished at the cenote I was starving and had to pay $6 for a small bag of chips at the cenote). The bus was pretty crowded with 12 people, and driving back into the jungle to the cenote was VERY bumpy. Be sure to take some dramamine if you get car sick! Omar was our guide and he was amazing. He told us about the area of Mexico we were in, and talked about the cenotes and what we could expect at each stop. Once we got to the cenote, we were offered a Mayan blessing, showered off, and headed into the cenote. They do not allow any photos or devices in the cenote. (They provide a locker for your stuff.) Once you get into the cenote they take your photos, which was kitschy and VERY expensive ($50 for one photo), but I get it's part of the tour. I absolutely loved the cenote experience itself - it was so cool to learn about and Omar's background in biology made it very informative. This part was about an hour, then you could shop a bit (they are pretty pushy but you can politely decline). Then we headed on to the snorkeling portion. I personally don't really love snorkeling, but it was fun to see the turtles! We saw about 4 or 5, but it was a bit chaotic with other groups everywhere. Then we headed to the beach club for lunch. This private beach was peaceful and the food was delicious. I personally loved the beef burrito. Mix the hibiscus and lemonade half and half for a tasty beverage. There are some areas to relax and changing rooms, so bring dry clothes to change into if you want. Pack a towel! Overall the tour took much longer than I was expecting, so be sure to plan for that if you have a dinner reservation or other evening plans. But I loved the experience and Omar was awesome.
