We informed him our appt. was not until the 14th and he complained about the scheduling dept. We requested whole house duct cleaning, pus dryer vent cleaning. The tech clamped a hose from the vacuum machine and started the unit stating would take 30 minutes to deep clean. We noticed the hose to the machine was crimped and machine obviously straining as it was not pulling any air from the vents. The tech (Ron) said that was OK, it would still clean but we proved it wasn't working so he said we would only have to pay for the dryer vent cleaning, which he had only collected about a hand full of lint from. So we paid for that ($79). We would definitely not use this service again. Very poor value and waste of our time and money.

Stanley Steemer is well below par when it comes to customer service, the services they provide and…read moretrying to get a call back from a manager. Below is complaint sent to the Better Business Bureau on December 16, 2024. Stanley Steemer ignored the BBB's attempts to contact them. However I learned they are NOT accredited with the BBB. That is who they are. On December 4, 2024, they came out to my house, were there a bit over 2 hours and charged me $2,200.00. To say the job was not well done is a gross understatement. My house is 1,200 sq ft. I have seven air vents. The air vents were to be cleaned and that was not done. I had to get them to come back as they were leaving to do the primary vent. All they did was hose it down. Clean to me means you take down the vents and wash and dry them before putting them back on. This was not done, not even close. I still have the lingering scent of the dog previous owner had. I was charged $899 for this cleaning service. Which leads me to say one size does not fit all. $899 plus tax for nothing. It's time Stanley Steemer to reevaluate/change pricing. Base pricing on the square footage of the dwelling. They also did the floors and grout. Because I was getting my furniture delivered on Dec 5 I got down on my hands and knees to tape down brown construction paper to protect the floor. While doing this I found dust and other left over vent debris on the floors. Being a conscientious consumer, I tipped the guys who came out. This was before I found what I just described. I expect a 75% refund from that service. Furthermore, since Dec 5 I have been trying to get a callback from the manager. I have called 5 times to date. I do not even know his/her name and contact info, so I have to keep calling. I do not even know if my message was received. I paid over $2,200.00 for this service. The actual cleaning was not done. I will not ever recommend using Stanley Steemer to anyone. Also, I tried attaching a picture but was unable to do so. And of course there is no email address to contact anyone at corporate. I do expect a call from a decision maker. Because of the inadequate service I received I canceled the follow-up service I had to clean my furniture. Regards, Michelle S

I asked the guy if he cleaned under my dresser and was told "we don't move big furniture." I told…read morehim that I just moved into the house and that I didn't know if the dresser was going to stay where it was and asked him if I moved it would the carpet look the same as that just having been cleaned. "No," he told me. He said he'd bring the equipment back in and clean under it an put it up on foam blocks. I also asked him to do the same with 2 pieces of light furniture in the other room he cleaned. I just went into both rooms and the carpet in front of these 3 pieces is damp but completely dry underneath all 3. This means that all he did was put them up on these foam blocks. So what happens if I want to move that dresser or the other two pieces?
