This is By-Far the worst experience I've had with a Contract. Please never Hire this Rafael Alverez from Easy Glass to do a job for you. Please let me explain my experience:
11/21/17, A neighbor shot-out the Glass of my Backyard Glass Screen Door with a BB Gun. I did a quick google search to find a local Glass Replacement Company.
My search goals in finding a contractor was to get the best service for the best price. I had taken Photos of the glass that needed replacement and when I called each of the companies, I sent them photos to get a quote. When I called Rafael, he sounded nice and gave me the best price. So, we arranged a time for him to come to the home and replace the glass.
On Monday 11/27/17, Rafael came to my house to replace the glass. He was courteous but unprepared. After looking at the sliding door. He said the he would need to order a Custom Glass Panel. We agreed on the price, terms of payment, and date of replacement to be Thursday 11/30/17 or earlier.
I called him throughout the week to find-out if he received the glass. Most of the time he didn't answer so I left messages and texts.
I waited all day on Thursday for him but he never came. Later that day, he told me that Thursday would not work. Then we arranged to Meet on Friday 12/1/2017. He didn't give me a clear time window and I had a Dentist appointment that day that is why I agreed to Thursday. My ran Dentist Appointment ran a little long. And he got so upset that I was late. And was thinking to myself: "Really! This guy has some serious issues with Double-Standards: He made me wait the whole week without an update, he didn't come to work on the agreed day, I scheduled my Friday around him and he is getting upset with me." But I just wanted to get the work done. So, I didn't say anything.
I watched him start the job and he had told me that he wanted a cash payment (I guess that should have been a RED FLAG). I left him to finish-up as I ran to a close-by Wells Fargo Location to withdraw the cash payment. I was back in 20 minutes. He was upset again saying that I took too long at the Bank. I was like Dude you know Imperial Hwy. Once you get on, even if your going a mile away it takes at least 20 minutes to do a roundtrip. After giving me an invoice, and collecting his payment. As he was leaving, he started Cursing [F*** word, amongst other words that can't be mentioned here] at me about wasting his time and that he will never do another job for me.
This type of behavior is unacceptable, and unforgivable. He has some serious issues: (a) He think his time is more valuable then the customer's time. (b) He thinks it is the Customer's job to follow-up with him whether the material has arrived or when he will actually show-up. (c) He thinks it ok to use abusive language with a Customer because he is not planning to do another job for them. (d) He this its ok to do a job without having a license because he is collecting Cash and there is no traceability of payment.
He might give you a good price. But Look out! Is a good price really worth losing your dignity? read more
