Poor management. Broken Mercedes emblem, ignored calls, poor service--canceling membership. I have…read morebeen a loyal member of Mint Express Car Wash, located at 10940 Discovery Bay Dr., Pearland, TX, for over two years. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I will be canceling my membership. Mint Express Car Wash The biggest issue is that no one ever answers the phone during business hours. I have personally sat inside the lobby and watched the phone ring repeatedly while employees stood around and ignored it. Today was no different. After going through the wash and driving home, I realized the front Mercedes emblem on my CLA 250 was missing. Since no one would answer the phone, I had to drive all the way back to the car wash. They eventually found my emblem, but it was broken, and I had to file a damage claim. Another ongoing concern is that the employees responsible for guiding vehicles into the wash tunnel are often on their phones instead of paying attention. That lack of attention to customers and their vehicles is unacceptable. I also spoke with the manager, Daniel, and was extremely disappointed. He showed very little concern, offered no sincere apology, and couldn't explain why the phones are consistently ignored during business hours. His attitude came across as indifferent, which only made the situation more frustrating. I understand accidents can happen, but customer service and accountability matter. After two years of being a paying member, I expected much better. Instead, I was left with a damaged Mercedes emblem, wasted time, and poor customer service. I will be canceling my membership and taking my business elsewhere. I hope this review encourages management to improve their customer service and hold employees accountable.

Ok first off I am writing this review from the waiting area because I pretty much don't care how…read morethe interior detail comes out after being here 15 minutes LOL. I booked an interior detail for $59 and showed up and asked about adding a car wash to find out that omg that INCLUDES a car wash. Can you say early 2000's value?!? The young man assisting me was just phenomenal. He explained everything and was extremely knowledgeable and patient with me (it took a while for me to "get" the car wash came with the interior detail package) and then explained go to vacuum bay 1 when i came out. I drove over to it but there was a cone in it and it took about 10 seconds for him to spot my car and run put and move the cone. Princess parking!! I asked where the waiting area was and he offered to walk me to it and I said Ok and then he pointed out the beverage station and water machine, asked if I preferred the lights on (i said no, plenty of natural light and I like the vibe) and then asked if I would like the TV turned on. It felt for a second like I had just checked into a Four Seasons hotel. OK Mint Express Car Wash. Here, take my money!!!! Update: Well Sweet Lord, I am BLOWN AWAY This interior looks like it spent all day at the car spa but only took 75 minutes. Honestly it did not look this good when it rolled off the Carvana truck in 2022. There are zero crumbs in the gear shift fabric thingy and they saved my spicy ketchup packet and even cleaned the mirrors in the visors. I have no words except I am never getting my car washed anywhere else. Incredible service and value and all the employees seem happy to be there and doing their jobs and i have not been so disappointed I never carry cash to tip in a really long time. Ten stars!!

It seems that the latest fad in car washes is building do-it -yourself tunnel car washes. I can…read moreunderstand both the pros and the cons in building this type of system from a business perspective. One of the major pros for the business owner has to be the number of employees. The number of employees with a DIY tunnel system is much fewer than a full-service system. Allow me to explain the process. First, you pull up to the gate and use a touchscreen to choose the package that you want. The packages vary in add-ons and price. The more add-ons you get, the higher the price. They also have unlimited use packages where you can go to the car wash on a monthly basis as often as you want. Those automatically renew on your credit card every month until you give them notice that you want to discontinue. After you go through the car wash, you pull around to the left and use the "free" vacuums. They also have a device that washes your carpeted floor mats. It does a pretty good job. You can walk inside the office and they will provide towels that you can use to dry your vehicle. The blowers in the tunnel do a pretty good job of getting your car dry but as the typical tunnel systems go, it will leave water spots behind on your glass, chrome, and mirrors. They also sell automotive cleaning products inside. I did not look at them so I do not know if the prices are competitive to a local auto parts or Wal-Mart. As you can see, much of the system is DIY. Therefore, the number of employees you see working or fewer than a full-service system. Another pro is the amount of time you spend there. Even though you are doing it yourself, It is faster than going to a place and standing around waiting for employees to dry your vehicle. Personally, I would rather save the time and do it this way. One of the cons is simply the fact that tunnel system brushes never get all the dirt off your car. If you are drying your vehicle, You will notice that there are some places the brushes simply do not reach. You will need to clean those with elbow grease. However, I still prefer to do this over a full-service system simply because I don't think they pay that close of attention to the missed spots either. It is still cheaper to wash your car in your own driveway. However, you may not have all the amenities that you need to do a complete job. This is a more affordable option than going to a full-service business. Bottom line - This is a DIY tunnel system car wash that allows you to clean your car on an as-needed basis (or if you choose, as many times as you want on a monthly basis). You can vacuum your car and wash your floor mats yourself if you wish. All in all, I am happy with the process and price. I will be back.
