Simply the best medical service, and staff that I have ever seen period! I have also had great experiences at Evergreen Redmond; however, the University of Washington Eastside Endoscopy Center-Bellevue (at Overlake Hospital) is the solid, solo, gold medal winner relative to my overall care and experience. Parking was easy and the hospital and in particular, the Eastside Endoscopy Center was sparkling clean with brand new equipment. If you are going to have a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, I suggest you come here, the staff, the facilities and the experience were amazing. I started out pre-procedure with a zoom call with Dr. Yap. He was exceedingly kind and seemed really interested in satisfying my concerns. Since I have State insurance, I expected to have to wait months to get in for a procedure. To my surprise, I the scheduler contacted me just a few days after my virtual consult with procedure dates of under a month and a half later. The hard part was the preparation for the procedure. Fasting for two days and having to drink 128 oz. of liquid in 24 hours was the only bad part of my experience. I really appreciated the pre-care and post-care information and care kit; it was very well-written and easy to understand. Although I opted to go out for PHO broth rather than making Jello or the chicken broth included in the package, the Gatorade really made the stimulant laxative easy to drink and semi-delicious. Day of my procedure: Sara, Michelle, and Irene were great. Sara was the most bubbly and patient person I have ever interacted with in a hospital. There was absolutely no judgement by anyone. Instead, I was treated like a queen; Sara, Michelle and Dr. Yap asked me if they could do anything to make me more comfortable but everything was already optimal. This was both my first colonoscopy and endoscopy, so I was scared out of my mind. Luckily, Dr. Yap is an expert in these procedures. I had a wonderful Propofol nap and woke up to absolutely zero pain or after-affects. I did not go anywhere the rest of the day, but I felt fine and absolutely normal (as if nothing had happened) after the procedure. Dr. Yap and staff were so thorough and considerate, when they noticed an abnormality when performing my urinalysis pre-procedure, they called in a prescription to my pharmacy. I had a good experience last week with Eastside Endoscopy Center. I highly recommend Dr. Sirisha Grandhe. I was in and out in one hour. After the procedure I feel great and my blood sugar is actually down, probably due to being all cleaned out. Now I don't have to worry about any possible issues. read more

Absolutely outstanding care. From Brett and Diana's efficient and friendly service at the front desk to all the nursing staff--Malisa in prep, Irena in prep and assisting, Eric answering questions and getting all the paperwork signed, Nicole (and Tammy's pre-procedure help over the phone) in anesthesia, Valinda (especially in recovery) and Jami accompanying me to my waiting ride home--everyone was fantastic. It seem that the billing side is totally inept. Contacting them after the lunch break 11:30 to 12:30 no one comes on line, all customer service employees are out to lunch permanently. Do not use this medical service if you value your time because they do not. They falsley reported me to a collection agency and I paid the bill in full several years ago. read more

Since my father died of colon cancer, I have had this procedure (colonoscopy) before and except for the preparation, it has not been that negative of an experience. While the doctor and nurses seemed professional and competent, the physical environment was like something out of a science-fiction novel. The waiting area was densely populated with only thin curtains separating one bed from the other. I was kept waiting for over an hour during which time I could hear other people being interviewed and bits of their medical history. I was then asked if I minded if "some technicians" were in the room during my procedure and I said I would rather not have anyone else present. (Nice that they asked, huh?) The nurse that wheeled me to the car when my husband picked me up was nice and the follow-up call professional. However, a few days later I became quite sick and it seemed as if it might be related to the procedure, so I called the office. Four hours later a nurse called back on my cell, but I was on another line and lost the call. When I called back I was told she had gone for the day, but the doctor on call would get back to me. That was two days ago! I wouldn't go back to this practice again and don't recommend them. read more

Good doctors, terrible administrative support experience at Overlake Hospital location. Rude receptionist insistent on up front payment in full for colonoscopy. Insult to injury, she couldn't provide me with receipt to submit and neither could the billing department. I felt like I was being held hostage for payment before my procedure. read more

Best experience ever! I just went to Eastside Endoscopy for an upper endoscopy and biopsy. From the moment I walked in, the staff was so caring and so knowledgeable. Never have I felt so relieved to be in such good hands! The procedure was painless and not too stressful and the nurses and doctor worked so hard to calm my fears and provide me with as much information as possible. They were so attentive, offered me warm blankets, had a glass of gingerale waiting for me when I awoke as i was thirsty, and even wheeled me out to our car. I would highly recommend Eastside Endoscopy as this is what they do and they are excellent at it. Super relieved and thankful for them! read more

This rating is for their website. I will update after the medical procedure. I was issued a pin to access the patient portal. Does not work. Complete dead end. Next, I tried to access the patient info link that they advertise as having information about preparation for the procedure. The only thing available are forms to be completed. So clearly, this institution is incompetent at maintaining a functioning website. So I will turn to You Tube for guidance. I hope to heaven that their doctors are more competent than their administrators. read more

I dreaded going in for a colonoscopy, but Dr. Mohan and his staff made the procedure as pleasant as possible. First, all were kind and attentive offering extra blankets for warmth and nurse Julie even gave me extra hand warmers! The anesthesiologist educated me about options which proved to be best for me. I had no problems during the procedure and woke up quickly after all was completed. I was treated with compassion and respect. The procedure itself was pain free and quick. I had no worried with Dr. Mohan since I am a returning patient and know that he is not only an expert in his field but is personable in his post op. discussion. Thank you all. Truly outstanding. I have had procedures at Swedish previously and this is better in every respect. Staff very friendly and helpful. Doctor very experienced and professional, yet I was put at ease. Offer sedation with propofol with nurse anesthetists which is way better sedation that I had elsewhere and safer. I basically had a great nap, woke up with the procedure over, and felt great! Was given results immediately. Added benefit is that doing it in outpatient non-hospital (not Swedish or UW) setting was 1/3 the cost. read more

I didn't say anything about the quality of care to Patients, your superlative readings are inconsequential, seeing as your reviews were abysmal before I even put in my two cents. Lucky for you and that recent 5 star review. Rather convenient, actually. I did not ask you to break HIPAA. Having worked in the medical field, I understand and value the importance of it's enforcement. My issue (if you took the time to read my review, you'd understand) was that Sarah, knowing the 20 day time constraint I was in, did not supply the option for us to come in and sign the HIPAA release. She insisted on mailing it and when I asked if she could mail it out that day, she stammered that it would take her a few days (that's stellar customer service, folks). Working in Patient care, I went out of my way to find alternatives and multiple solutions to help my Patients. The only impression that I've received from your staff is that you feel like the Patients owe you. Sarah's mocking attitude was more than enough to know that you do not value your Patients. Funny thing, when my father called, you also insisted on mailing it out to him. You read my review? Why not offer for him to come down to the office? Btw, have you received it? Also, isn't disclosing the $140 liability a violation of HIPAA, as someone could ascertain the identity of the Patient, through that info. Also, you're lying about the $140 being for a separate lab. It's the out of pocket charges for services rendered at your practice. How would you have access to another facilities/practitioners invoice? Again, you're a liar. The lab in question, the one that I have made numerous mentions of to your staff, has no record of you contacting them. And if the sum were for a paltry $140, this would not be an issue. You knew exactly what the issue was, and if Sarah did not document the details of our conversation, it (again) speaks of Eastside Endoscopy's complete disregard of their Patients' concerns. The reason my father was "happy" with his care is because you told him that you were going to contact the lab and resolve it. You didn't, he's not happy. Also, his "care" vs the office staff are two separate things. I can be very happy with my Doctor yet infuriated with his nurse, billing staff, front desk, etc. The two are not mutually exclusive. And, unfortunately for your medical staff, your reprehensible actions have become a reflection of them. read more

I had 2 procedures here recently. I was impressed with the nurse's professionalism and the educational information I received. Everyone from the front desk to the person wheeling me to my ride home was kind and knowledgeable. My doctor explained the results and her recommendations after the procedure. Except for the procedure room, which was very private, the rest of the clinic was fairly open so it felt really busy with all the staff. I found a little comfort in that because they do a lot of procedures, so I am of the opinion that they are proficient. That's really important for me and my health issues. I always felt safe and comfortable. Even though I was having a typically uncomfortable procedure, I never felt any pain. The nurse who gave me sedation was knowledgeable and I had a chance to ask him questions. Someone mentioned validation for parking in a previous review so I asked about that and was told that the clinic is not a part of Overlake Hospital even though they are on the campus. One nurse told me that even she has to pay for parking. I'm thinking free parking is a thing of the past in urban hospitals. My insurance paid for the procedure and I had a few copays to the clinic, anesthesia person, the doctor and the pathology lab. When I need my next endoscopy, I will go back. read more
