Level A - the first floor was closed, and we could only walk around Level 1, with limited access to view the cars from above. For years, this has been one of my favorite spots to bring friends when they visited Detroit. Seeing everything from vintage GM models to upcoming vehicles all in one place always felt iconic. Knowing this was likely one of the last visits before major demolition begins made it feel even more emotional. We'll truly miss this space as we've known it. The change, while disappointing at first, makes sense. The two office towers closest to the river, along with the connecting podium, are slated for demolition. The original 1970s-era design simply no longer fits modern work needs, especially with the shift toward remote and hybrid work. While it's sad to see this space go, the future plans, opening up the riverfront and creating a Navy Pier-style park and entertainment area, give hope that something even better is coming.

Phase one was completed in 1977 with additional towers added in 1981 for a total of seven! Sadly, General Motors decided to relocate its headquarters elsewhere and much of the office space is vacant. During my visit, I get to understand that this is two separate Mall entities connected to a sky bridge. One side of the mall is purely upscale high-end stores and the other end of the mall is upscale stores with medium end stores. This mall was absolutely packed too to the rim! I really enjoyed the diversity of the stores here and in fact this is the first mall where it's 100% occupied. They don't even have small shops in the middle of the mall as well like most malls do. The food selection is actually pretty good too! This mall is really clean and I'm Amazed by how well the bathrooms are as well. Coming here on a weekend is really tough to find parking! Overall, I really enjoyed my visit here this mall is more of a 4.5 star experience but I will say it is one of the best malls I've been to in recent memory.

It has a few stores that I like and it's in between the Flint area and metro Detroit, so it'll do in a pinch if I'm in the Brighton area, which happens now and then. They have a varied selection of stores, ranging from Dick's and Barnes and Noble to J. Jill, Claire's, Pier One and Five Below, plus a whole lot more, in addition to a few decent watering holes and eateries. In truth, they have more restaurant options than I would assume they might at such a small-ish open air/strip mall. It's better than having limited options or eateries with excessive lines or a crappy food court with just fast food garbage. I like the Pier One store, but the Barnes and Noble is not my favorite B & N location, but it's still nice to have a brick and mortar book store in the area. This mall has a few shops that we don't have at home, plus a variety of others that we do. Other than that, the parking is adequate and the location is pretty decent and convenient, just off the expressway. I'd like to see a few more boutiques open up, but for now, the mix of retailers is decent, relatively varied and the options for food & drinks is great for such a small venue.

Westchester Square Mall is a series of connected shops and includes outdoor paths between them. Included in the mall are places like the Omelette and Waffle Cafe, a stained glass gallery and supply store and many other small independent gift shops. One of the best things about shopping downtown Plymouth is that parking is a breeze. There are a number of large city-owned lots that are completely free, with time limits ranging from two to eight hours.

What was supposed to be a routine oil change and tire rotation turned into a complete waste of time and an incredibly frustrating ordeal. I brought my high-top van in for service and was assured by the first associate that there would be no issues performing both the oil change and tire rotation. I was told it would take some time, so I walked around the store for nearly two hours while waiting. Upon returning, I was shocked to find that nothing had been done. The second associate then claimed that they tried to call me but that the call went to voicemail. I immediately checked my phone--there was no missed call, voicemail, or notification of any kind. This feels like a blatant excuse, possibly because they were nearing closing time and didn't want to proceed with the service. To make matters worse, earlier that day I had called the store to inquire about black rubber mulch in the outdoor garden section. I was told none was available. However, while walking back to the Auto Center, I saw an entire pallet of it in plain sight. This level of misinformation is beyond frustrating. Overall, this experience was unacceptable. Between the lack of follow-through, poor communication, and misinformation, I left both disappointed and aggravated. Unless serious improvements are made in customer service and internal communication, I will not be returning to this location--or possibly any Walmart--for automotive service again. I…read morehave been cruising out to this area since Spring due to the never ending construction on M-59, and some of the stores too are getting old or run down in similarity. The drive maybe an extra 2 to 3 miles from my home but its a worthwhile and yet satisfying feeling to park in a clean and smooth paved parking lot at the many stores here. Kohl's is the main store up front that one can see from Gratiot Ave next to Art Van. Turn off Gratiot at this large display sign and drive to back lot areas of stores. Nearby is a Big Lots, Hobby Lobby for you craft and thrift shoppers. There are 12 fairly new stores such as Bed Bath and Beyond, Best Buy, DSW, Dress Barn, JCPenney, Five Below, Bath & Body Works, Old Navy and Ulta are my favorites. I may have missed a few to list here so check out this area for yourself. It is pleasant to talk with great customer service employees at the several stores where I shop too. A big change from Hall Rd. stores. The back parking lot after Kohl's store is where all the great shops are at with connecting driveways close to each other. If one is driving down 23 Mile Rd. after exiting I-94 Eastbound, there is a traffic light to turn left at for the "back road" to find these great stores with a roundabout. Happy Shopping at some fairly decent, well stocked and clean stores !

Horrible Santa Reservation System - Children Left Disappointed…read more I prepaid and made reservations for a 2:30 PM visit with Santa today at Twelve Oaks Mall for my 8-year-old daughter and her friend. When we arrived there were two lines--one for reservations and one for walk-ups--but absolutely no organization whatsoever. No one was actually checking reservation times, so people with later time slots could have easily been standing ahead of us in line for all we know. We stood in the "reservation" line for 25 minutes with zero movement, and when we finally asked, the manager told us they were still on 1:30 PM appointments and were not actually checking appointment times until you got to the front of the line- not sure what good that does. She even admitted things were not set up correctly and things were not running smoothly, but had no explanation as to why no one was checking times when putting people in line. We unfortunately had to leave because we had already waited with no progress and two disappointed little girls who didn't even get to see Santa. And after all that, they told me no refund was possible even though they clearly weren't honoring the reservation time I paid for. Very poor organization, very disappointing for kids, and extremely unprofessional to take payment up front without providing what was purchased. I really hope management sees this, because this was NOT at all the magical Santa experience we paid for. I would absolutely not recommend booking here based on today's experience.

We really love the addition of Barnes and Noble, where you will find us every time we come here, we love this book store. While it is smaller than some, it typically carries what we are looking for. We love PF Chang's and Shake Shack. I am excited to try Pokeworks at some point. I love Sephora. I am sad that Parisian/ Carsen's went out of business, but we do go to the new store from time to time. Even though this is a tiny outdoor mall, I do come to their events. This event was the Harry Potter Butterbeer Truck activity. I believe I found it first on the official Harry Potter site, then on local advertisements. It was so fun. We actually stood in line for two hours, but it was so nice out, it was worth it just soaking up the Spring air and sunshine and people watching. They have had reindeer and petting farms here during Christmas. I love their Christmas lights. We have gone to their very small art fairs and other outdoor community activities. As some stores close, they seem to find new ones to open and new restaurants, which is great. I hope they continue to plan community activities, we will continue to visit. I am probably here once a week since it is nearby.
