Sure, you're hardly likely to han out here during the harsh northwest ohio weather, but weather permitting, i absolutely love hangout out in the kids club area with my 6 year old. Best part is that it's not like the other overpopulated outdoor malls and i get to enjoy the simple life of 90 degrees saturday afternoon. I fully understand this is absolutely hit or miss depending on the day, but even with 30mph wind that's about to blow my hat away, i'm still lovin' it. Other yelpers are right tho. We could use some more diverse shops. :-) read more

This place is gorgeous and a wonderful way to spend the day. Whether it's stocking up on clothes, getting lunch/dinner, checking out the latest books at Barnes and Noble, or hitting the movies, Fallen Timbers is always a great experience. The employees all over are courteous and helpful, and do everything they can to make sure you have a good time. Definitely worth a visit whenever you can. read more

Nice area Nice Outdoor Mall. However, we were harassed and targeted. I know that everyone likes to use "racism" as the blame for things that happen. But this time it truly was. Most employees in the store were kind and nice, however one employee accused my mom of stealing! MY MOM. My mom is a retiree and an active member in her community, that frequents JC Penny. I am an executive producer for a popular tv show on a popular network. My point is WE DON'T HAVE TO STEAL. The whole ordeal was so embarrassing. The clothes are decent the store is meh. For them to act like this is Nordstrom's or Sax is when shirts are literally 4.99 is crazy to me. They will be hearing more from me if we don't get his issue resolved. read more

I really like this town center style mall. There are a good number of shops from which to choose and I much prefer to be outdoors walking between stores than in a sterile indoor environment. The dining options here are also quite decent as PF Chang's and Red Robin are two favorites as far as chain establishments are concerned. Overall, this complex makes a great place for an occasional day out. read more

I went back in the ending of April to try a new shopping center. None of the stores were open except Barnes and nobles and bath and body works. I continued to look on their website about construction and the limited stores that were open but nothing was posted. I drove 2 hours for nothing. I won't be back, not only because of that but because there are many stores I have here locally. read more

I don't think it's possible to give an outdoor shopping mall in Ohio more than 3 stars, because frankly, it's Ohio and they are pointless (because of weather) for more than half of the year. Scratch that, Easton Town Center in Columbus would get a solid 5 stars, even during a monsoon or a blizzard because it's amazing, large, and just amazing. Wait, didn't I say that already? Fallen Timbers is very clean and has a nice quiet location, but honestly, there just isn't a whole lot here. Sure, you have The Gap, The Body Shop, and Dillards, but stores you find in a typical mall (H&M, Banana Republic, etc) are not, and probably will not ever be located here. From personal experience, I will say that it is nice to sometimes have a store like The Gap, because the store doesn't tend to be as busy as it would at a typical mall and you can sort of take your time shopping. Plus, I tend to find a lot of great stuff on clearance in my size at some of the less busy locations. Anyhow, a solid 3 stars. If you would have more food options, probably another half star... If you had better shopping options, I'd probably bump it up to 4 or 4.5 stars. read more

While yes it us an outdoor mall, it is one of the best shopping options in the Toledo area. Outdoor shopping in Ohio during the winter is actually nice. Gives you an excuse to wear your cute winter coats and hats without having to carry them around while you shop. Plus you pop into stores so you really don't get cold. During the Christmas season it is charming to stroll around the shops and see the Christmas lights. For the moms out there; Fallen Timbers has the only Gap Maternity in Toledo! read more

Lord knows why developers keep building California-style outdoor malls in Ohio. April through October, they're fine. But there's this little mega-season in the Midwest called WINTER. Therefore, going outside between the months of November and March is a harrowing ordeal. Also, driving your ass to this place in the middle of nowhere ain't fun. Methinks the reason Rave Motion Pictures closed the perfectly fine Maumee DeLux theater was to drive traffic to the theater at this place, conveniently located within walking distance of nothing. If you build it, they ...will not necessarily come. Well, not when you build it as an outdoor mall in the middle of a blustery field that is still quite a drive from the nearest town.... in NW Ohio with its cold, snowy winters. Being downwind from a notoriously rank sewage treatment plant is also a major downside, especially in the hot summer months. For these reasons, as well as very few of the stores being much different from those in the insanely popular Westfield Shopping Center (the place to see and be seen I guess), Fallen Timbers has not done very well financially and keeps going through owners and bankruptcy court. However, since I hate crowds and love bargains, Fallen Timbers has become the main shopping center for my family, and for myself if I am in the area. To help draw in customers, I assume, the shops at FT seem to always have better deals than their cousins in Westfield or elsewhere. They also are less picked-over, especially in winter when most people cannot abide the idea of walking through the wind tunnel from store to store. My main shop there is JC Penny's, though sometimes Dillards or Lane Bryant\Cacique have good deals. However, the most common reason I go to FT is for the movie theater, which streams live Met opera on certain days, and to eat at Granite City. There is also a PF Changs and Red Robin, though I am not as fond of these. For tighter budgets, the Auntie Ann's\Hagen Daaz is very tasty with pretzel wrapped hotdogs, and there is also a Subway near the theater. The location also offers some services beyond shopping, including salons and spas, and also a martial arts dojo (that looks very nice from the window). Sadly, many of the shops are empty... contributing to a vicious cycle that fails to draw in more traffic. It is a shame, really. It is a lovely mall, with an absolutely stunning pond surrounded by roses come the season. There is also a large pit fire with chairs around it (and apparently wi-fi), and a large chess set you can play around with. In the wintery seasons, there is a faux-ice ice rink which looks fun, and "train rides" up and down the sidewalks for the kids. Summer time has farmer markets and big community events, typically geared towards kids. I think if I was or had a kid, I would be bringing them here quite frequently. Parking is plentiful and though I am not fond of the parking on the streets, it is easier to see and get around than Levis Commons or Westfield. I suppose that will change if the place starts to get more popular and some of the sub divisions I think were planned are actually constructed. In the meantime, though, the only bad thing about going here is the distance - made longer by recent road construction, or the other road that goes down by Sidecut park where the deer and the fishermen roam...right in front of your car. Anyways, I know my family in the area will continue to use Fallen Timbers as their main mall, and when I'm around, it's definitely my choice for shopping. read more

With not much to do in Maumee, Ohio this place is an oasis! It offers the standard shops you would find at most any mall but the outdoor environment is nice on days that the weather is good. The movie theater is nice because it is off the beaten path of the major cities nearby you can get into showings with ease and find good seats even five minutes before it starts on opening weekend! read more

Beautifully structured, much less traffic than Franklin Park, and typically more items and sales to choose from! If you can bear the weather, this should be your holiday shopping destination! It doesn't have anything near the zoo atmosphere that you find at Franklin Park! read more

My car got broken into in the parking lot and the security cameras were too "fuzzy" to see anything in the parking lot. The cameras serve no purpose in protecting the safety of cars or people at this mall. read more

The Shops at Fallen Timbers has great stores and restaurants. I was sorry to see Starbucks leave but can understand why. The mall doesn't have enough cut throughs or parking in front of the stores. If you want to run into one store to pick up an item real quick, it isn't going to happen. You have to park behind the stores and either cut through one of the bigger stores or walk all the way around. Not so bad on a warm day when you have time, but in the winter when you're in a hurry, it's a real pain. Often I'll decide to run in and pick something up and find no parking place close by and just keep on driving. For Starbucks this was a real draw back, people on their way to work want to either "do a drive thru" or park in front, run in and get the coffee and hit the road again. Hopefully something can be done so we don't lose more great stores. read more

Nice outdoor mall, although its strange they keeping putting outdoor malls in Northern Ohio.. I don't understand why. Has many good stores . ( Jcpenny, Dillards, American eagle, PINK, and Journey's just to name a few) . It also has a nice outdoor area with a pond where you can feed the fish, lost of flowers, and large painted animals for kids to play on. There is also a super nice fire pit. The only thing wrong with the mall really is that there needs to be fast/quick places to eat. Overall good mall and I love going here. read more
