On November 6, 2024 someone from Peterson Bros. Paving came to the door saying they had leftover…read moreasphalt from a driveway they were doing at our neighbor's house. We were under the impression that they were going to fill in a dip in the driveway and maybe some cracks. Next thing I know a large truck came and starts pouring asphalt and they paved half the driveway. There was no preparation beforehand. It definitely wasn't leftover asphalt. If we were going to have a new driveway done we would have researched companies and gotten quotes as well as a description of what would be done. We had no intention of having half of a driveway done. We would have planned what we could afford. We were in shock we were handed a bill for $10,000. They were here for a total of 50 minutes. I contacted the owner later and complained about their deceptive ways of doing business. He said he rents his truck out to his employees and he can't babysit them. I told him it's his business and he's responsible. I told him I would be leaving a review about how they do business. After going back and forth he agreed to at least refund 50%. I've since read reviews of people with similar complaints. On their website the reviews are great, but on other sites they are terrible with complaints like I have. I believe the reviews on their website are false. They sound like they were written by the same person. After weeks of excuses I believe he never intended to return any of the money. I emailed and texted the owner that I have no alternative but to go further and report them. I called and there was no answer and the mailbox is full. The company is Peterson Bros. Paving according to the flyer they left, although online it's Peterson Bros. Sealcoating. They are out of Manchester NH with several addresses. Companies like this should not be allowed to be I business. Phone number is 603-461-4745 or 601-400-4481
