I'm sure they would let you run over the 30 minutes if you were shopping in the store. The store is always busy with lots of tourists choosing things to take home as genuine souvenirs. Some of the real beauties are the frames and little animals that they make out of shells as well as the ships made out of shells. I got a lot of scallop shells to use to make craft items with, ranging color from pale white to a beautiful coral in natural colorations. It's a fun place to come visit and simply look at the multitude of shells, or stock up on all reasonably priced shells.

There's three different floors of treasure to be found. Main floor has literally everything. Seems to entice you with what they have to offer. Just in my opinion. It wraps around so there's so much things to look at. The two top floors seem to have more apparel's. Loads of vintage clothing, footwear and accessories. Just going from one section to the other, you're coming into treasures. There were loads of clothing that looked amazing but just like any vintage shop. The sizing varies. It's a hit or miss when it comes to apparel. Regardless, this place had loads of amazing fun vintage items. Clothing, accessories, shows, toys, even things you didn't know existed, they had. Of course, it is focused on Paso Robles history so it is really cool to learn about what got Paso Robles going. It has only been a wine town for the last 20 or so years but before that, it was known for hot springs. I came with my family and we got a kick out of all of it. There are so many recreations that truly help bring history to life. From the cars to the mini models of buildings back then, and the staff, you could spend a good afternoon just reading and learning all about the history of Paso Robles and what it was like to live in the early days. My personal favorite was the blacksmith, not for the history but the proportions. As for more practical bits to my review: There is a small parking lot with Pioneer park where you can park you car. No shade and it is narrow so be aware when you park there. They also have a small parking lot if I remember correctly but we ended up parking in Pioneer park since we got there before they opened. The entire property is dedicated to the museum so once you walk in the gates, you can start learning. It is also free admission so I am honestly amazed it is still going. Donate to help keep it going and maybe buy something from them! They also do have AC so if you want to escape the heat, go there. It is a big building so it did still get warm in 100 degree heat but it was much better than outside. I highly recommend stopping by since it is super fascinating. I sadly didn't take any pictures since I was so busy just learning about everything. So keep an eye out for that blacksmith! ;)

It's a whimsical multi-acre experience with display gardens, gift shops, animals, a farmstand, and the largest year-round Christmas store in SLO County. Beyond plants, you'll find antiques, books, home goods, and garden art. It's one of my favorite places to pick up unique gifts for family and friends, and somehow I always leave with something for my own garden collection. There's also a seasonal farmstand offering fresh produce and local eggs from nearby ranches. It's peaceful, magical, and endlessly inspiring, always giving me new ideas for my own backyard.
