I had to renew my AHA BLS and this was a place they had on the list of recommendations. I called for a class the following day and was scheduled for 9 a.m. You pay by card, cash or zelle. Class started at 9 and ended at 12:30. The instructors were great and clear to understand. They used the dolls and AED for us to practice on and prepped us for the 25 question exam. We were issued our BLS/CPR cards digitally on the spot and at the end after passing the test. I felt confident in what I had learned and scored 24 out of 25 correct. Great class! I did the hybrid course of online & classroom. Classroom portion was beneficial to the virtual online learning and needed in my opinion, doing the skills is essential to the learning process. The instructor, Ike, was awesome. Personable, engaging, and very knowledgeable on how to teach life saving skills. I actually enjoyed the class portion more than the online mainly due to Ike's engaging the material in a fun way. We were researching various CPR instructors online in the Bronx area and we found Eastern CPR through Yelp. At one point, we even considered completing the class online. I'm glad that we found/chose Ikechukwu. He was very courteous from the first informational phone call. He was very accommodating to our schedules and he promptly set a date/time that worked for the five of us that were going to be doing the CPR/First Aid course. The course ran around three hours. During the course, he managed to articulate the course information in a clear and concise fashion. He was so kind to all of the students and he made sure that we fully understood all of the material. His class truly was the ideal combination of videos/hands on training/his oral instruction. He was not opposed to us stopping him to ask questions. Furthermore, he welcomed us to do so and he constantly invited us to remain engaged. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to complete a CPR/First Aid course! I just finished my session with Eastern CPR and it was by far the most pleasant experience . the instructor was very professional and patient and very funny . We were able get all the information and demonstration done in a timely fashion and any pointers or errors I made he patiently waited till I learn the step before moving on and the price was more than reasonable . This was a CPR, First Aid and AED course. It was much more as added practical instruction and easy to follow examples were giving for putting on and removing gloves. Points to note are as follows: Hands on practice. Taught by experienced personnel with life experience as first responder. You will leave with your certificate in your hand. Confession: I only tend to leave reviews if I had a very negative or an extremely positive experience. This one is the latter. Ike & Avery are both fantastic instructors. I went to get my certification and was kind of dreading having to sit in a class for so long but I actually had a good time. They made it really comfortable, laid back and even fun. They didn't waste any time or drag the class on at all. Initially, I booked for an earlier date. Upon realizing it would be difficult for me to attend, I called ahead of time to reschedule and Ike made it super easy to do so without any hassles or fees. Finding an ACLS class during the COVID19 pandemic is difficult, but Ike from Eastern CPR made scheduling a breeze! My ACLS class was taught by the entertaining Dr. Augustine. He is a very talented and dedicated instructor who will teach you everything you need to know for the exam. I attended the CPR class on Monday 11/21/16. The instructor was professional and pleasant. I'm in the healthcare field and have to take a CPR class every 2 years. I found it wonderful that the instructor was able to incorporate humor and personality in the class, making it enjoyable. That typically never happens in other classes I have attended. He was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the material he was teaching. Before stepping into Eastern CPR, I was completely nervous and worried I wouldn't understand anything that would be taught to me. Ike was incredibly helpful and moved at my pace, constantly checking to see if I understood everything; and instantly made my nerves disappear. Ike (the trainer) is friendly, polite, professional, and has a great sense of humor. I have taken CPR training before at other sites and I can honestly say that I am confident I will remember what I learned at this training more than any of the others because of the clear, concise way that Ike conveyed the information and also because I actually had fun doing it!
