I had done the online portion prior and then I went onto AHA website and they showed me places that offered the skills part of it and I was able to reserve my seat for this class! I liked how I was able to get into the class at a day's notice as opposed to having to wait some time in order for me to take the class.

She's pretty young, so it's the first time she's ever taken a one-day course of any kind. It's a pretty long day, 9am - 4pm, and yet, she says it went by quickly. At about noon, the instructors took the kids to a pizza place just down the block. I spoke with a few of the workers from Aquatic Solutions, and they're really good, well-meaning employees. I wasn't sure what to expect from a babysitting class, but my daughter is even more enthused than she was before it, so I'm happy. Money very well spent. Now if she'd only stop blabbing about all of these babysitting techniques and stuff, maybe I could get some work done!

In the past few years, I've sent my 5-year-old to numerous "group" swim classes at discount prices and although she became more comfortable in the water, she never really learned to swim - more than a doggy paddle. After only 5 one-on-one classes with Karina, my daughter is truly swimming for the first time (strokes and all!) and loving it! Karina has so much knowledge, kindness and patience and my daughter absolutely loves her and loves her lessons. It's obvious that both Karina and Amaury truly love to teach AND truly love children.
