This is the worst driving school ever!! Don't come here you will loose your money doing any business with this school. They are a bunch of scammers. I paid for the 10 lesson package which includes the 5 hour pre-licensing course, and for the road test. I paid for the package in April of this year (2024) and it's now October and I haven't gotten a road test date at all. I've been calling from since May about a road test date and I been getting the run around story ever since may till now. I was told there were no dates opened until July when i went to the dmv site itself I seen dates available. They are a bunch of liars. Im now battling with them to just give me my certificate so that I can go to the road test with a family member instead because they are wasting my time snd my permit is expired soon and it means nothing to them. Im getting the run around of being able to get my certificate. I went there in person and the receptionist lady told me that the owner has access to the certificates are upstairs in his office and he's not here I asked when will he be there and she claims she doesn't know (all lies) I believe the owner coaches them to tell people that story so that they cant get their certificates and keep peoples money. I just want either half of my refund or my certificate like I paid my money in full like why am I having these problems it makes no sense they are all a bunch of liars and scammers. The only thing that went smoothly was the 10 lessons I got as well as when they were getting my money they were nice as can be other than that they service are trash. I would give them no stars if I could. If you are not they own kind run from them because the experience with them will be a nightmare with them. Im looking forward to going there once more to try to get my certificate or half of my money refunded because i did not get no road test date nor even laid eyes on a certificate as of yet. I paid my money and I refuse to make $510.00 go down the drain and didn't get anything out of it but 10 flimsy lessons thats ridiculous. In short - I took the 5 class package deal with Jeffrey and passed. McGuyver saved the day in the end when it came to my road test (RT). Pricing is decent (see below break down of pricing I was provided). Below is an extended explanation of my experience with the school. I came to this driving school about 10 yrs ago and failed my RT. My instructor was Martin at that time and he always seemed distracted at the time. I came back to this school mid March 2019 to try again. I requested not to have Martin as an instructor. I signed up for their 5 class pkg. My instructor was Jeffrey, a great instructor. He always pointed out my mistakes and had me correct them. I personally remembered the mistakes he'd point out and started catching myself during our lessons. My learners permit expired on 5/9/19 so I had about a month to practice and take my RT or have to renew my learners permit. This was urgent for me as I have a trip planned in Aug. After I reviewed the 5 hr driving class/video I called to schedule my RT. The receptionist informed me they'd called the following wk regarding my RT. I received a call 4/23 and they left a VM stating my RT was scheduled May 9th, 2019. I called back within the hour and let them know I'd need something sooner since my license expires that day and I'd be away starting May 5th. The receptionist (Susie) was able to schedule me for April 29, 2019. I had asked for an estimate of the time we'd be back and time I should be at the school. I was told to be at the school at 7 am and we'd most likely be back by 9:30 - 9:45 am the latest. Since she had stated 9:45 am the latest I let my job know I'd be in late and then scheduled my final 2-hour class. I called again Friday, 4/26, to confirm the details originally provided to me regarding my RT. I was then told that there's a chance the 4/29 RT might be canceled depending on how many people were going and that final details would be confirmed Saturday, 4/27 prior to my class. This worried me considering they have a 24 hr cancellation policy on their classes and I wanted to hold off on my last 2 classes until just before my road test. I called early Saturday to find out the details and they were still unable to provide exact details. I called again 2 hours prior to my class and they finally told me that my RT would be at 10 am on 4/29. Needless to say, I was aggravated. I continued to call and state it wasn't fair that they'd provided the details in short notice considering I needed to provide notice to my employer especially after telling me we'd be back before 10 am. This was mentioned by the individual I spoke to on the phone and even during the 5hr class/video. I told them I'd have to cancel the RT and class. Susie kept repeating that due to their policy I can't cancel the class and would lose them. I didn't yell or curse at her because I know it wasn't her fault, however, their disorganization and poor communication wasn't my fault. I continued to ask for a manager or to speak to the owner. I had finally given up and Susie called back stating McGuyver who I believe is the owner would make an exception to take me early Monday morning. I was happy to hear this but still super annoyed. Needless to say my 2-hour class prior to my RT didn't go well. Victor was a great instructor he just had a different teaching style than Jeffrey which caused confusion. McGuyver picked me up Monday morning and took me to my RT in Orangeburg, NY. He gave me tips along the way and eased my nerves. I PASSED without losing any points! McGuyver was kind and pretty much saved me from the hassle of going back to get my learners permit. Susie also remained pretty calm even though I know she was equally as annoyed but she ended up helping in the end as well. Recommendation to business - Provide clear guidelines on how the road test is administered and scheduled by you. If it's advised that people take the day off work or school that should be told in advance so ppl can accommodate. Recommendation to a consumer - Remember who you've spoken to, and reconfirm details. All the instructors speak English/Spanish but if you prefer someone who can speak fluent English I'd recommend Victor of the instructors I've driven with. Jeffrey was great and patient with me as well. The site link they have isn't really functional so its best to call or go in person. Pricing (This was as of 3/16/19 so it may change) 5 Lesson Package - $339 10 Lesson Package - $479 Includes - 5 or 10 classes, 5hr video, 1 RT, 1 car for RT Defensive Driving Course - $70 (Need to have a license) Deposit is needed. I just passed my road test on the first try! I wanna thank all the instructors at this school!!. I took 9 classes! I personally found it useful to change Instructors and learn a bit of technique from different people. A Big thank you to victor,Joel,Jr, and Martin. You men were so Patient with me , I knew nothing at all about driving and you all made me feel extremely confident and able to handle the road test , especially victor, who was my firs teacher. And Joel made me feel very comfortable behind the wheel he did a great job of explaining! Jr was sooo extremely knowledgeable and gave me a lot of tricks and he was very professional! And finally Martin!! He was so focused as he taught me! He made my kturns and parking so efficient and straight to the point. He was my final instructor and I was so grateful for his teachings,! LENGTHY REVIEW; MUST READ! Don't let the good reviews fool you, this place is running odd Mickey Mouse operations. First things first: THEIR VEHICLES ARE FILTHY. Literal crumbs in crevices and NO HAND SANITIZER OR DISINFECTANT in the cars for people to use. When I told them this, they proceeded to tell me "you want us to tell you we have hand sanitizer?" As if I'm the odd one for requesting such IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC. No matter how well they claim they've cleaned, you can obviously tell the most they've done was pass a rag on the dashboard. Disgusting and NOT COVID SAFE AT ALL. I purchased a 3 lesson package with road test and car included. scheduled my 5hr class on January 6th and specified I needed a rush appointment (which they say takes 2weeks) for my road test because my permit expires February 4th. Every time I had a lesson, I'd go to the front desk for an update. Every receptionist sounded like it was their first time hearing that I needed an rush appointment. One receptionist proceeded to tell me that she did not know because I hadn't told her, despite me telling 3 other colleagues prior. Seems like none of the employees communicate with each other. I ended up finding MY OWN rush appointment after waiting 2.5 weeks and when I let them know, they cancelled my appointment and booked one on a day I wasn't available and proceeded to charge me for it. I refused to pay because they wouldn't have gotten the appointment (which was only a day earlier than the one I found) unless I hadn't found mine first. I had to now call out of work IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC to make it to an appointment I didn't tell them to make. My instructor, Jonathan, was very knowledgeable but continuously over takes the wheel and brakes the car as you are trying to drive. Not helpful at all. As was the owner, McGuyver, who gave me my final lesson prior to the road test. Only downside is that the instructors can't seem to keep their masks on. Especially in the middle of a pandemic. The Upside: I passed my road test and got my license just in time! My overall experience would've been better if the employees had intention to do their jobs properly and as a team. THE BEST SERVICE EVER! I decided to come here after failing my test for a second time with a very shitty school in the bx. After failing I was in a hurry to get my license before my permit expired, which was due to expire two weeks after taking my road test. I took classes with Mcguyver and Victor and they were both AMAZING. They were patient, explained why and how i can fix all my mistakes. Mcguyver promised me that he would be open and honest if he felt like i was not ready to take it. After 2 lessons he was confident that I can pass and tried to get me a road test appointment fast. Between the racism, rudeness and LITERAL filth and thievery it almost seems like this place wants to be put out of business, The only way this school is rated so highly is because they have their employees write the reviews. They are thieves and scammers. This school is unprofessional, racist, disorganized, and rude-not to mention DIRTY. 1.The location is filthy ! Disgusting Im not even a stickler for Covid Protocols but If you are one-you would be mortified. Not a drop of hand sanitizer or a duster in sight. 2. Its a revolving door of employees. Only once have I been there and recognized any of the receptionists. Also, out of the 5 classes taken, I had 3 different instructors due to everyone quitting. I also never had the same car more than twice making the process even more difficult. Different cars and different instructors. (everybody has their own style of teaching and I had multiple peoples instructions/multiple cars,setting me up for failure) 4. One driver got too personal with me telling me his life story and only spoke to me in Spanish even after I told him I don't speak the best Spanish. This man would also constantly make racist comments every time he saw a black person on the street calling black people dumb even after I told him to stop. At this point I had pre-paid the package so I had no choice but to continue with this school. His car was filthy and looked/smelled like he lived in it. Also, all the "Check Engine" lights were on. He was also very condescending anytime I made an error. Another instructor was nice but never took his foot off the brake having me drive 8mph which made it impossible to learn. 4. The day of the road test, I was at the school at 7am. Unbeknownst to me, I was to travel with 3 other classmates in a car with a man who I never met before and never introduced himself - I'm assuming he's the owner. 5. We drove to NEW ROCHELLE- theres no explanation why I'm in New Rochelle- as far as I'm concerned we were going to the Bronx to take the road test. We arrive at NR, the instructor simply tells us to "GET OUT OF MY CAR" very rudely and we wait for 30 minutes on a sidewalk, Not knowing what we are waiting for and with no instruction or explanation. Eventually a DMV Inspector arrives and one of my 'classmates' takes her test. Once she's done, the driving school instructor/owner tells us "OK now we're going to the Bronx". When we get to the BX, once again this man tells us to "GET OUT"...He then calls what looks like a friend of his and has her take the test before everyone else traveling with me since 7am. Once his friend is done, the instructor says he is getting back on the end of the line so that the rest of us can proceed. He disappears for and hour (im pretty sure he went to speak to his friend to ask her how her test went). He eventually returns and at this point its 1130 am. FOUR AND A HALF HRS LATER FROM THE BEGINNING OF THIS PROCESS. This man does not give us any last minute tips or information on how to work his car. Ultimately I failed the test. 6. The same day, I Call the driving school and inform them I need my 5 hr pre-licensing course certificate from them so I can take the road test directly through the DMV and with my family car. The receptionist tells me the owner is the only person to make that decision and that she would have to get back to me. 5 days later and no call back, I call and I get the same information. The next day, I physically return to the school to ask for the certificate that I paid for. Once again I get the same spiel and don't receive it. I ask for the owners number and call over 15 times and send over 6 emails in a matter of 2 days. No one ever answers and the Voicemail box is full. Again I call the office. It is now 8 days later and the receptionist tells me she still hasn't spoken to her boss.I let her know that if he doesn't care, she as an employee should make the executive decision and solve this client issue. Im responded with anger and hostility and she tells me she is NOT going to give me the certificate. This place is a nightmare. The fact that they had blatant racist and filthy drivers in ill-equipped cars and dont answer their emails or voicemails leads me to believe they dont care about this business. I looked at the reviews of different driving school and honestly the reviews on this one scared me away until someone gave me a good personal review and I decided to go with it. Joel was was driving instructor and he did a great job. It was my first time driving so at the beginning I was a nervous wreck but towards the end of the package I purchased I felt super confident with what I had learned. I took the road test in New Rochelle and passed! I always got a call the day before to confirm my scheduled appointments and the day before my road test they called me to wish me luck. Jeffrey and Victor are great instructors. I have a license from when I was 17 but haven't driven in 15 years so used them to help get comfortable on the NYC roads. Jeffrey is very calm and methodical with the steps required and Victor is great for highway driving. Washington Heights and the West Side Highway are great places to practice because you get all the possible obstacles in a typical NYC street - trucks, jaywalkers, double-parking. Very happy with the classes I've received. They picked me up at my apt for each class too which is a convenient benefit. read more

So I bought the 15 lesson package for my girlfriend for our anniversary. Her first three lessons were with an instructor named Joel who was nothing short of unprofessional with her. Throughout the lessons he told her stories that were not relevant to drivers education (one of those stories involved a female student who took lessons with him and was accompanied by her bf during later lessons. Why is that important? More on that later...), he constantly kept taking control of the wheel from her, was constantly applying the brakes, was looking at his phone on multiple occasions and stopped at a coffee shop & at his car while her lesson was going on. As if that wasn't bad enough, by the third lesson he was asking her inappropriate questions of a sexual nature (which I will not disclose here) to the point that she no longer felt comfortable working with him. She voiced her concerns with the female receptionist with red hair and glasses and simply wanted to switch instructors and asked for a do-over of the three lessons that were spent with this instructor feeling as though she did not learn anything with him. The receptionist went on to betray my gf's trust by acting as a "witness" while Joel went to the 33rd precinct to file a harassment complaint against my gf when he was the one behaving inappropriately. What makes that part even more hilarious is the receptionist was never in the car during the lessons in question nor did she ever become acquainted with my gf's side of the story. Making matters worse, McGuyver the owner refused to refund the $750 I spent, never so much as reprimanded this employee much less get rid of him and in fact accompanied him to the precinct while Joel was making his complaint. He also proceeded to threaten my gf by alleging that the lessons were recorded by surveillance, which, if true, would only help my gf's cause (not to mention is also illegal since it wasn't mentioned in the company policy or to us). The lone bright spot of this story is that my gf spent the last two lessons with an instructor named Jeffrey who was the polar opposite of Joel: professional, attentive and knowledgeable of driving. My gf can't say enough great things about him. Anyway, I had no choice but to get involved, so I went to the school myself to get this straightened out. We came to an agreement that we'd leave with a prorated portion of the money I spent, so I was given $660 (in cash) of the original amount I spent (I ended up paying for the two lessons with Jeffrey - at my insistence because that was the right thing to do). End of story, right? No, the next day he proceeded to harass my gf over the phone threatening her with being arrested and called my phone 4x (I didn't pick up). I don't know what this guys deal is, nor do I care to find out. It's over on our end. If any ladies are reading this, steer clear of Joel unless you're ok with a creep whose going to ask you questions about your sex life. read more

I've had a bad experience with this school .I went for a driving lesson and the first appointment I took they cancled on me 1hour before my appointment so we rescheduled , so when I took my driving lesson he didn't speak fluent english and he wasn't a great teacher he wasn't specific ,he didn't teach me how to hold the wheel ,what buttons except the turning signal , lets just say I basically just paid to drive their car , so I made another appointment thinking that probably was a warm up he will get more into detail ..I made the appointment and they cancled on me yet again this time 2hours before ,so she made another appointment this time I cancled and they still tried to charge me .So nope I will not go back to that unprofessional so called business , they're all about taking your money they aren't knowledgeable & not caring about the students passing read more

The instrurtor barely speak English , they text while you're driving, they distract you while driving(talking about unrelated nonsense) and they don't correct the mistake you make. I took my 5 hour class and 5 practice classes and passed my road test. If you are determined and practice on your own, you will get your license.
