Sick children, including those with visible symptoms like runny noses, are allowed in the pool, which only worsens the issue. The overall cleanliness of the facility is poor--there's visible mold, and the showers are frequently out of order. This raises serious concerns about hygiene and safety standards. This has become a recurring issue, especially during weekday afternoons and weekend mornings when the pool is busiest. It's very common to see children who are clearly sick--coughing, sneezing, or with visibly runny noses--being allowed into the pool without any health checks or supervision. As a result, my son frequently comes home sick, often with a cold or stomach issues. This is the only facility close to my home, so the convenience is hard to give up. The pool itself is nice, but it's simply not being properly maintained. The water quality is questionable, the facility is not clean, and there's often visible mold. To make matters worse, the showers are frequently broken. This place has potential, but serious attention is needed to address these ongoing health and hygiene concerns.

There are so many good instructors there and they make it very easy to schedule make ups when we miss a lesson. Over the years we have been with several instructors all who have been very good. The best instructor for my 2 kids is Jen K. who has been absolutely amazing. She is so sweet and puts them at ease. She makes working really hard fun and that is priceless. Level 7 requires about 17 laps and 4 minutes of treading water and my daughter was able to do it because of Jen K. My husband and I can not thank her and Saf T Swim enough for teaching our kids these valuable life saving skills. Please Saf T Swim do anything you can to keep Jen K there! The staff up front is also nice and pleasant especially Leslie who we see most often. She always interacts with the kids and is such a nice person. I've also heard she is a great instructor. To all those parents with negative reviews I would just say that you can not expect the first instructor your child sees to be the perfect fit. Sometimes you have to try several instructors to find a good match with your child's personality. The staff up front is super easy to talk to and is willing to switch your child's instructor if you are not happy. It is extremely rare for the pool to close down due to an accident in the pool. It has happened maybe 5 times to us in 4 years. I look at these situations as something that is inevitable when you deal with young kids which is unlikely to happen if the parents follow the guidelines set by Saf T Swim. I am grateful that they care that much about keeping the pool clean and safe for our kids. I highly recommend this place to anyone. We live on an island and being a good swimmer is a valuable life skill.

Things went sideways quickly: the…read moreoriginal instructor was repeatedly dunking my daughter's head under the water without our consent. We requested a switch, but by then the damage was done -- she now refuses to attend at all. Over February through April we were billed about $1,160 for very few classes she actually felt safe taking. Cancellation is straightforward (drop confirmed today). The owner I spoke with was professional, but the 30-day-notice policy combined with the auto-bill-on-the-25th model means you keep paying weeks after your child won't go anymore. Refund declined despite the safety reason for stopping. One star: lessons are real, billing model is not consumer-friendly when something goes wrong.

The bathroom has mold on the floor of the showers, there's rust around the hand soap area, spilled hand soap on on the sink counter, toilet paper on the floor in the stalls and the sink very dirty. There's always a new instructor every time I would come for lessons with my kids. No one tells you what's going on, you basically have to go with the flow and not ask questions because to them it's the way how they do their service. Customer service is horrible. There's nothing wrong with the staffs, expect for one staff member. Every member that worked June 2022 felt over worked by the owner and is super unhappy." how do I know ?" bc they told me in-person the week of 4th Of July. There's one time I went on a Thursday during 4th of July weekend with my kids, there's was no one available to teach any lessons bc apparently they was closed. I didn't get a phone call, nor a text or email that they would be closed for the week of 4th of July. When I got there, one member told me that I wasn't the first customer that walked in here today with no update company being closed for the week of 4th July . The staff proceed to tell me that it was so unprofessional how managements handled their customers and it's not their fault; which I didn't blame them and I agreed it's not. I took my kids home and the next week I got a phone call from DANNY telling me I have a lesson today ( Thursday 4pm). I reply to him, no one didn't update me if the company was closed or open, so I assumed it's closed. I did pay the 4th of July week bc I was told by the staffs that if I didn't pay now I would or will loose my slot for the summer session in July. So, I made a payment of 121 on July 7th. On July 21 4pm I came in like a normal regular unprofessional day at swim star . There was two instructor who's not supposed to instruct my kids are there. I wasn't aware again. The two instructors did not introduce themselves or even said which child that will work with. They just began the lesson with no hi's or introduction. After the lesson I called Danny and told him about the experience and he said he's shocked and I asked for a refund bc this wasn't the first unprofessional encounter I had experienced at swim star. DANNY said he'll give me a call Back Friday, but no calls. I called myself Thursday July 28th to see where I stand. I told him about the hygiene in the bathroom, he said the building owner has to take care of that, that if I wanted I can use the bathroom upfront by the desk. I told him about the week I showed up no one was dress to teach, I told him about the customer service and he didn't really care. I asked him for a refund, he said he's no going to give me a refund bc of his staffs, customer service and the hygiene at the company. He hanged up the phone bc he didn't hear anything ( my phone accidentally went on mute for two seconds bc i was Multitasking with kids) I called bk he said he hanged up bc I stop talking and I asked him again for a refund. He refused to give me a refund and told me to come in even if I'm uncomfortable. I told him why would I come in if I'm uncomfortable with my kids getting teach by anyone that works there ? He didn't care if I'm uncomfortable or how I felt as a paying customer. He didn't care for my kids comfort. He's basically saying he doesn't care and he's not going to give me back any money bc it's on their contract. I proceeded to ask him about the contract saying does or did the contract said about different instructors and company hygiene ? He said no. I would not recommend anyone to go there with their kids because they're very unprofessional and not nice to their customers. They honestly act like you're getting free lesson , most cleanest company and have the greatest customer service, but it's not. Please if no one doesn't believe me. CHeck them out for yourself ! You wouldn't be disappointed.
