There are a plethora of schools to choose from within NYC so I always find it best to do some research, go on Campus and meet with advisors. I was warmly greeted when both calling and going to the Allen School. The Advisors seemed to really care about what my interests are, what I was looking to transition from and to and what my educational goals are. Was very happy with my initial experience of the school and look forward to a continuing relationship.

Reason why you should not go here‼…read more Very unprofessional staff and management Staff looses important documentation for clinicals or testing They use tape for there books instead of staples Every course here is half-a**ed and not the right material if you actually want to learn and be ready for a job here's not the place Wrong certifications are given out Wrong dates or information are given for state testing Last minute communication or no communication at all Late instructors They teach you the wrong things then say they never did or admit they were wrong sometimes Most of the classes are cut short you don't get to learn material fully This school will definitely pass you without taking a test or attending class and you MIGHT get your certificate but the process is horrible and now that they have raised there prices it's definitely not worth it if you work hard for your money and want to actually be job ready & confident just know this school does not take pride in practice or reputation and many people can agree.

Tell them your plan for certification and Larry will definitely find a solution that works for you. The place had multiple classrooms and all the equipment necessary for my learning needs. My instructors, Lisa and Glen, were fun, interactive, and engaging teachers. I felt well prepared after my sessions were complete and I'm glad to make the trek out here to do it. Class started at 9 and ended at 12:30. The instructors were great and clear to understand. They used the dolls and AED for us to practice on and prepped us for the 25 question exam. We were issued our BLS/CPR cards digitally on the spot and at the end after passing the test. I felt confident in what I had learned and scored 24 out of 25 correct. I would recommend this company for a quick certification. Professional but light hearted as well. Easy to like them.

It was just me and him but it went smoothly and quickly. He turned on the video for me to see the movements I would have to demonstrate. He maintained a running dialogue and kept information grounded to real world, every day life use. He assisted in my stance and even ran through a practice scenario in which we played it like it may happen in the future. At the end, I had the option to do additional modules for children and infants, etc. but I declined. This class is not expensive at all - especially when you factor in that he's teaching you life saving techniques. I opted to return again, this time with my family so we all can learn children and infant cpr as we have a preschooler in the house and now that I've vetted the place, I've confident that the experience and information being presented to us will be done the same way. He offers same day certification and will give you your card on the spot after class is over. I very highly recommend if you are looking to learn CPR and be taught the information in such a way that it's understandable and retainable, come here.
