They also damaged the stove pipe and left a big scrape on the side of it. After all that, I got a bill for several hundred dollars and nothing was fixed. A painter I had working for me at the time asked if he could take a look at the stove and he was able to figure it out and fix it in about 15 minutes. It has worked ever since. Terrible communication, terrible service, high priced, and then when I called to talk to management about all this, they just gave me the run around and it went nowhere. He left to go buy a tile cutter and a bucket of thin set. Stated full day price was $1260. They left after 5 hrs and he asked for $1360 stating it was for the supplies! I paid it stupidly. A few days later Mike and the boy returned to finish tiling and grout. I guess he went from tool retriever to tiler/grouter. The grouting was a mess, my brand new quartz had 1/2" grout along the edge, lumps everywhere, thick lines overlapping the tile. Not up to cabinets. Did not finish and said they would be back, and they needed $630 for 1/2 day. I gave them $530 and told them to let Jason know I over paid $100 last time, as I shouldn't pay for his tile cutter that he should have brought to the job. They never returned to finish. I had another tiler come and tell me he's never seen such a terrible job and so overpriced! Beware!

Customer service like that is old-school, and we definitely appreciate it. Their work is high-quality--the color of our dark green roof is still the same shade it was 13 years ago, and the crew doing the work was respectful of us, our yard, and understood about needing to let our dogs out to do their business. We're having Mitchell Roofing do our business's roof this year. Kelly's always responded to our text messages within hours, and definitely goes out of the way to make us feel like valued customers, not just another job to accomplish.
