Gave it a deposit They did show up when they said they would they installed the units That's where it all went wrong We ended up having to change all the ductwork He had to get a piece fabricated to make it work He showed up one night with the piece to finish up the job mind you we would've still had problems The job was 14,000. I gave him an $8000 deposit which he asked for 10,000. He came back with the piece we needed and he wanted me to give him the balance that I owed him before he walked into the store to finish the job. And that's where he went berserk I highly recommend you go with a different company As I'm left with a mess during the heat of the summer

Buyer Beware: Outrageous Pricing for Basic Repairs I am…read moreincredibly disappointed with Clarkstown Heating & Air Conditioning. My AC capacitor went out on a hot Friday, and I contacted them looking for a prompt repair. While the technician who arrived was professional, the billing was completely predatory. They charged me $685 plus tax to replace a single dual capacitor. This is a basic 30-minute job, and the high-end universal part they used costs under $100 retail. The standard market rate for this repair in Rockland County tops out around $350 to $450. Charging nearly $700 for a simple part swap is an extreme, unconscionable markup. There are plenty of honest, local HVAC professionals in our area who charge fair market rates.
