BEWARE!! I felt I must post this to in order to hopefully, in some way, protect others. It is so scary to think of a single woman (like myself) and/or an elderly person (like myself) could be treated in the way I was by the owner of Eastbound Transportation. I received a $400 CASH ON THE SPOT demand from Eastbound Towing, Pepperell. I parked in a space last Friday while having dinner at The Peddler's Daughter in Nashua, NH and they towed my auto. I tried to stop the driver, but she just put the pedal to the metal when our eyes connected. I spoke with Nashua police officers that were driving by. They were so kind and told me how this towing thing works and called me a cab to take me to Pepperell where Eastbound Towing is located to pick up my car. The owner (which I found out later) was filling up a car with gas in front of the restaurant and (they had one of their tow trucks there, so I asked him how this towing thing works, he wouldn't even look at me, much less respond. 1) There was no visible sign in the parking lot. I have a picture of where I parked and saw no sign. 2) The man from Eastbound Towing was verbally abusing, cussing, telling me I was "..a pain in his *..." and "...because I was such a pain in his * I would have to pay more for the towing service than anyone else...". Apparently, calling the towing service to see where my car is and what I need to to to get it back was a "...pain the his *...". I had no idea what to do.... On a brighter side, there was a nice young man in the parking lot, his business is in the same lot as Eastbound Towing. This young man is my witness that I was verbally accosted for more than 1/2 hour, he heard everything this man said to me. I shudder to think what may have happened to me had this young man not been there to help. He helped me by: 1) Witnessing the abuse of the Eastbound Tow Owner/Driver which verbally, monetarily, and through his body language made me feel unsafe and taken advantage of. I believe the young man protected me from this maniacal man (Eastbound) by his presence, which I am most grateful for. 2) This young fellow also lent me the extra $140 cash out of his pocket that I didn't have on me to hand over to this awful human being (Eastbound). The Eastbound Owner/Driver said he would not accept a credit card and if I couldn't hand him $400 cash on the spot, he would "...keep my car...". During all of this appalling behavior, he and the person in his truck were openly laughing at me. How can the city of Nashua, NH let a person like this interact with people in their city? Eastbound should be pulled from the ability to lurk in the corners, preying on people. I'm not saying a towing service isn't needed, I'm saying that abusing people is wrong and I was abused just because HE COULD.

I really give this company a ZERO. They are RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and GOUGE customers They towed my car from a lot that was connected to publ

Just had a tow from Joes booked through my roadside assistance company. Driver was super friendly…read moreand helpful. I wasn't with my car and figured everything was set after speaking to him but he went the extra mile to send me a pic of my car at the repair shop after he dropped it off. Really nice to have such kind and thoughtful service.

A belated but pertinent and VERY positive review, and shout out, to Joe's Auto & (more…read morespecifically) Towing, to both the woman who answered my emergency call and to Andrew, the fella who saved the day, and evening, for me. On 11/7/20, I played 18 up at Butter Brook Golf Course in Carlisle. After finishing, I spent a few minutes talking to my Lexington-bound before he hit the road. It was near sunset at that point. As I walked toward my car a departing female employee walking toward hers asked if I owned the white 1998 Volvo up ahead. At that point, there were only three other cars in the lot--hers, another, and my Volvo. I nodded, and she said, "You're tire exploded!" I'm, like, huh? But, as I get nearer to my car, there it is--a flat right front tire. "Yeah," she added. "It just popped! We all heard it." Knowing I had a fully-inflated spare in the trunk, I told her I'd be on the road in less than five minutes. By the time she pulls out, I'm the only one left in the lot. I instantly discover that the single-socket 12" long lug nut wrench supplied by Volvo was ridiculously ineffective and despite heroic efforts I couldn't budge one wheel stud. Not. One. I had no leverage. I tried so hard I bent the damn wrench handle! So then I'm thinking, because I DO live in Dorchester and I DON'T know ANYONE in the Carlisle area, I'm...dead in the water. I make two quick phone calls to the nearest auto repair places, one has no tow truck, the other cannot help--no driver that day. I expand my search and dial up Joe's. A very pleasant and busy but patient woman answers and advises that their one tow person has "like ten calls going right now." I provide my phone #, my location and add that all I need is a one-minute pit stop: loosen five lug nuts. The woman says, "I'll see what I can do." Two minutes later my cell phone rings and it's Joe's tow truck driver, Andrew, an amiable kid who listens to my quick story and decides, on the spot, while driving to his next destination, "I'll be there in ten, you're in between where I am now and my next stop." Ten minutes later, Andrew wheels into BB-GC's parking lot just as the sun begins to set. Knowing what's needed, he hops out of tow truck, grabs the pneumatic air pump, and hits the studs. Then he wheels over a portable hydraulic lift, jacks me up and leaves me to handle putting on the spare while he writes up the bill. He replaces his pump and jack, hands me the receipt, agrees that Volvo's worthless lug nut wrench might come in handy as a paperweight, accepts my $20 tip, and zips out of the lot toward his next emergency. 1. The woman could've told me, "We're too busy." And hung up. 2. Andrew could've just blown me off, and never called. Both refreshed my belief in and of "paying it forward." My Dad was a mechanic. He taught me how to do the simple repairs that keep cars on the road. Over the years, I've probably pulled off road and helped at least a dozen or so people who were stranded on roadsides, either changing their flats or giving them a jump or, at the very least, getting them to where they were going to be okay. What comes around, goes around, folks. Do the right thing. It'll come back to you, and it'll go forward. My thanks to Andrew, and the kind woman who answered my call. It is no surprise that the majority of Joe's reviews are positive. Happy Holidays!!!

I found Andy's Auto on my own, and I am super thankful that they exist. This is your local auto shop that really knows what your car needs and can diagnose and resolve all kinds of mechanical issues. - My car wasn't shifting, and it was making weird noises. Check engine light was on, the whole deal. Mike took care of it all. While my crummy insurance company didn't help at all, Mike resolved all of my car's issues and did a heck of a job doing it. - Mike has extensive experience working on cars, especially Subarus and turbocharged vehicles. This was especially awesome to learn, given that my car is a Subaru Forester Turbocharged. Mike knew his stuff. He showed me all the things that needed attention and broke down the cost. He didn't make any repairs until I saw and authorized them. He showed me parts that were worn, explained why they needed to be replaced. He even does tires and balancing. It cost me a bit to have this work done, but Mike isn't going to screw you over. He's passionate, energetic, and truly enjoys his work. And as an added plus, he brings his awesome dog, Clifford, to work. Clifford is a Rhodesian Ridgeback and super super friendly. I am a dog-guy; I was more excited to see the dog than my car. - But yes, this is the type of place that I wholeheartedly recommend. It's the type of place that makes me grateful for a place like Yelp where I can spread the word about such an awesome mechanic. Mike is now my guy, and I'm taking my car back there when it needs it's next oil change (and timing belt replacement!). Thanks Mike!!!!
