Can't really say much about this station. It's small but it serves its purpose as a District Line station, it's open-air so it's one of those slightly contradictory Underground stations and there's a florist's stall located right outside the exits. The ticket barriers are occasionally open on late nights (after 10 PM or so) but it is still advisable to tap in if you don't wish to be charged the maximum fare once you get to your final destination.
On the plus side, the high street is located very ckose to the station. Little Waitrose and the Co-op are near by (as is the free cash machine in the Co-op), not to mention the whole host of chain restaurants such as Nando's and Pizza Express.
In short, the station is nothing to shout about, but one really can't complain about the facilities nearby. read more
