Both of these incredibly talented and knowledgeable professionals provided me with a plan and goals! The prognosis I received from my surgeon was not good as he informed me that the goal was just to be able to function with my hand at about 50% of pre injury due to my catastrophic injury. This was unacceptable for me to hear as I am very active and diminished use would negatively affect the quality of my every day activities. However due to my skilled providers (Lindsay and Jess) I am happy to report my flexibility and dexterity has returned 100%!!! My strength has currently returned by 90% but I am gaining more and more each day under my provider's guidance and positive coaching. I can confidently state that that Professional Physical Therapy in Sayville has returned me back to my pre injury self!! As I am nearing complete recovery, my family and I are very appreciative to have such a positive experience!! They will ignore their patients, especially in the rehab center. The place is honestly just depressing because there is only a very few people who truly care about their patients. My grandfather was in and out of here for about 6 months total and he got sepsis twice from the place. Once he left and was at home from Luxor again, he died of sepsis after being taken care of in hospice care. Do not take your loved ones here if you want them to feel better. Don't be fooled by the nice decorations in some of the newer rooms!

I live here, and I need to warn others: this place is not safe. Most days there are only one or two…read moresupervisors for the whole building, and staff don't respond when you need them. I've been left waiting for help for long stretches, and when they do come, they are rough and impatient, like I'm a burden. The building is dirty, the bathrooms often smell, and the environment feels depressing. I've seen residents yelled at and treated with no kindness. Once, I even witnessed someone being restrained for hours without anyone checking in, which was frightening. Supervisors don't take responsibility--they push their jobs onto others who shouldn't be doing them. When inspectors are around, they make everything look fine, but as soon as they leave, we're ignored again. I don't feel respected, safe, or cared for here. If you want your loved one treated with dignity, please find another facility.
