I genuinely cannot say enough good things about my experience here! From the moment I walked in, Eric was welcoming and thorough. He took the time to inspect my necklace and explain what needed to be fixed. I was then brought downstairs, where I got to sit and watch Herman work on my necklace up close on a TV screen. I could see every little detail of the repair as it was happening, which was fascinating! While I was downstairs, Courtney came over and started explaining everything to me. At this point, I felt like I was on a little excursion tour and I was loving every minute of it! She shared how Herman got his start in jewelry repair when he was just 9 years old in Ecuador and how he's spent years perfecting his craft. Watching him work while hearing his story made me appreciate the craftsmanship that much more. My necklace was repaired, cleaned, and polished to absolute perfection. But here's where my experience got even better. While I was downstairs, Diana complimented me on my necklace and the diamond earrings I was wearing. What she didn't know was that those earrings had been driving me CRAZY for the longest time. Because of their size and weight, they would constantly tilt downward instead of sitting beautifully on my ears. It's such a small thing, but when you have beautiful earrings, you actually want people to SEE them! Diana asked what kind of backings I was using. I told her screwbacks, and she smiled and told me to come find her upstairs when I was finished. Well, I did, and she pulled out these jumbo-sized screwbacks and said, "Let's see if these work." She cleaned my earrings, had me try them on with the new backings, and I kid you not, I got emotional LOL. My diamonds were FINALLY sitting upright and looking the way they were supposed to! She jokingly called them the "magic bra" for earrings, which honestly couldn't have been a more accurate description. SOLD! I walked in for a necklace repair and somehow walked out with a problem solved that I hadn't even come in to address. All because Diana was observant enough to notice something and thoughtful enough to offer a solution. That to me is exceptional customer service. Before I left, Eric inspected my necklace one more time and even gave me some helpful advice on how to properly lay and store it to avoid future stretching or breaks. What really stood out to me was how genuinely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful everyone was. Nobody was trying to sell me something I didn't need. They were simply passionate about what they do and took the time to make sure I was happy. I left Gennaro Jewelers absolutely elated. Between Eric, Courtney, Herman, and Diana, what could have been a simple jewelry repair turned into such a memorable experience.

After hearing the commercials and seeing the longevity of the business, we chose Marinellis... Long story short, we went to pick up the ring and the diamonds had gotten chipped when getting sized (apparently that is a danger in upsizing). Trusting the owner Rich would correct the situation, we gave him the chance. After replacing the diamonds and doing more work on the ring, it turned out to have too many little issues between dings and differences. He asked for another chance, we gave him it, and we are now VERY pleased. Rich took ownership of the problem, was very professional through the entire process and promised at the end of the day, he would make us happy! How does he story end? He replaced the entire diamond ring by ordering an even thicker (better) setting of our choosing and hand picked the new 7 diamond replacements (normally valued at $600 per diamond for replacement). The new ring is arguably better than what we originally brought in and we are grateful we chose a reputable jeweler such as Marinelli's as I question such a good outcome would have happened somewhere else. It was going to be an expensive repair, which I had not anticipated. He made a suggestion to take all the diamonds out and scrap the rest of the necklace, which has significant gold weight, so I did just that! I picked out a diamond eternity band that I've had my eye at Argyle for about two years and with the high price of gold, I got the new ring in trade plus cash too! I went back again today, after he took out all the diamonds, and he spent nearly an hour with me to make 2 perfectly matching stacking diamond eternity bands to go on either side of the ring that I purchased the day before. And even though he has a very active business to run, we sat and chatted for several more minutes about our daughters and similar circumstances. A very pleasant experience.
