I meant to write this review months ago.... If your FEMALE... Please go with a male and have then check everything. I was sold a car with non working windshield wipers, couldn't adjusted side view mirrors- electrical was shot, rear view mirror was sold to me with a heavy film on it. Car had smog issued which was never inspected within the last year. Also when I approached them about the issues.. Not one person went out there way to help. One even said that it wasn't their obligation. Good to know that my 7k+ cash wasn't enough for CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm a very busy individual, I honestly took the word of a family member about this place. However, they never purchased from there which is why I'm given the second star. Just check everything!!!! Oh yea.. The radio system sucks because the car antenna was not attached. I asked the company to have the inspection for the car before I came to puck it.. Instead I was pushed aside and never got an updated inspection, because of lack of communication they have in the office. Looks like everyone is for self..... CHECK EVERYTHING...... Overall, it hasn't even been a year and I've already put $1500 worth of work.. SO CHECK EVERYTHING read more

I would never suggest buying a car from these people. They sold me a car that they don't even have the title to and now I'm stuck getting 30 day tags every month until I can get real tags. Mind you it's going on the 4th month of me having this car and still no tags and the owner is no help. read more

This place is a joke. They put on a good show make you think they care even give you a 30 day warranty. I just bought a car from these people drove it off the light and from day one the head lights didn't work and had an extensive oil leak. Called and asked about bringing it they said the salesman wasn't there and would be out to call back in a couple weeks needless to say this was the next day. I called back a couple days later as this is when we noticed the oil leak because the light came on. Added oil thinking maybe it was just low couldn't drive it 10 miles with out it coming back on. Called back and they said no one would be available to look at car until the 1st of December and that we had to pay to get it towed to there shop. I didn't have the money to tow it to them and had a long standing friend that owns his own shop and is very reputable he offered to tow it to his shop for free to look at it. We decided to do so to find the head light had a broke wire and the car had an extreme oil leak from the valve over gasket and rear seal. This car had a brand new inspection so to me this seems shady. I've reached out to them and instead of agreeing to pay half like the warranty states they will even though I feel they are responsible for the entire repair being it wasn't drivable when we bought it off the lot they are only willing to give 300 towards a major repair wanting us to bring it to them on our own dime. At this point I don't trust them. This is SHADY dealership I wouldn't buy another vehicle or recommend them to anyone. It's a shame because me and my nephew were really excited while speaking to them they put on one good show upfront. And the lady that answered the phone is very rude and should find a different job. I did not purchase a car here i went with one in mind and first i had to goto the office to find one of the three sales guys sitting down looking at me like i had three heads and a tail until the word test drive and cash deal got thrown in they werent moving then on the sticker price tgere were two prices on the two stickers on the car and a different price online for the vehicle finally on the test drive it made funny noises i had someone with me that knew a thing or two about cars and it was determined that at that the mileage the car had the turbo was about to go out as well as it had wheel bearings that needed to be replaced when i brought it back from the test drive the sales guy didnt even ask me anything except for the keys i told him why i wasnt happy with that car and to my surprise the only thing he said was "ok" then got in the car took it to the back of the lot and met the mechanic and to him to "fix the noise as best he could. , that it was whistling and whining a little supposedly" im thinking maybe they should change their names to east end auto collector not sales because there were alot of ppl in that lot looking at trucks and cars looking for sales helpnand EEA sales team was holed up in the office watching everyone but not doing anything to help them. read more

Fell prey to a major case of Sunk Cost Fallacy and was consequently THRICE duped by East End Auto: 1st : East End Auto sold us a car with an engine that failed within 90 days (as in, it completely seized up and left me stranded on the side of the road with a car load of little kids) 2nd : East End Auto then refused to honor the three month warranty, despite the engine clearly meeting qualifying terms, and wouldn't even cover the tow back to the shop 3rd : East End Auto sold us a rebuilt engine that also failed within six weeks of their in-shop installment of it into that same car We ended up throwing good money after bad and then throwing better money after even worse. But it looks like we're not the only ones. It's so scary that even with all the horrible reviews, EEA continues to get business coming their way. Never underestimate the power of a cute, well priced used car. read more

I purchased a SUV. It's left me on the side of the road 3 times in 2 months. Also they did a shotty job on a transmission hose. I've spent 3500.00 dollars to get the vehicle somewhat reliable. If you buy please have a professional mechanic look at the vehicle you have in mind first. Don't use Capital GMC. They will claim their vehicles are good. They "work" together to cover up useless rides read more

Only leaving three stars, please note I did not purchase a car here. I test drove two cars and they both made funny noises. after the second car I collected my ID and went back home. this place has some potential though. read more

I just went here yesterday to trade in my car and I had a wonderful experience. I worked with Warren who was super nice and friendly. As a woman, I don't like going to car places because I always feel like I will be taken to advantage of due to my lack of car knowledge. But this wasn't my experience here, at all. I definitely would recommend this place for anyone looking for a used car. Prices were super reasonable. Thanks Warren!! read more

Proceed with caution as with any used car dealer selling older, high mileage vehicles, but be extremely careful here. In fact, skip them. Great buying experience of what turned out to be a TERRIBLE vehicle. Anything good ended there. After owning for 60 days (30 day warranty) the radiator overheated and went so quickly we couldn't get it to the mechanic before the engine blew. Now that we paid for a new engine with THEIR mechanic - repairs which they offered to FINANCE since we paid cash for the vehicle (really?!) - the transmission is gone. UNBELIEVABLE. So now we have replaced the engine and the transmission in a car we've had less than SIX MONTHS! Their cars are crap. They're basically stealing from their customers. I thought they were reputable because they've been in business so long. This is definitely not the case. Learn from my mistake and don't make one of your own. Stay away from East End Auto. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE! Your typical liars. Broken promises. Don't make good on there word to fix something. Buy your car elsewhere. These guys are typical used car salesman. Sure their cars are nice and shiny, but that's about where it ends. They will lie and cheat you. BUYER BEWARE!! read more

I bought a 2000 Toyota Tacoma in October 2015, after spending weeks looking for the perfect truck I thought I had found it. I found East End Auto with a great Toyota, great mileage and price. The vehicle looked pristine online, so I took time out of my schedule to travel to Richmond to look at it (2 hour trip). The quality and charisma of the sales staff was fantastic, Warren was courteous and helped me with making my decision on purchasing a Toyota Tacoma from East End Auto. I test drove the vehicle and for a 2000, the suspension felt like it should and I noticed no issues. It also had a valid state inspection so I figured it was safe for Virginia driving as well, that's what inspections are for right? After driving, I felt like it was a great buy so I made the purchase. I used this as my weekend car and a go-for car when I wanted something outside my daily driver. Fast forward to March, I had my brakes inspected/worked on (typical wear). After the work, my mechanic notified me of some issues on the truck frame. The frame is completely rusted through in one area the size of a foot long sub from Subway. It's hard to believe that the frame has rusted this much since October. It is in a location that was partly hidden by the leaf spring and perhaps I didn't notice it because I had a new car on my eyes, but none the less it is unsafe to drive only 5 months after purchasing. Beware, that although the sales and buying vehicles was painless; take special care on the quality of vehicles. So far, I haven't been able to get the dealership to help me in rectifying my situation. read more

East End Auto Sales - Car Dealers Near Me - Richmond, Virginia

BUYER BEWARE. In my experience no dealership is honest. All ways have a car looked at by a mechanic you trust. I purchased a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan in November of 2019 from them. I did my legwork prior to buying. It is a great looking van from a far. However I did not expect what I had coming over these last few months. They did what dealerships do and put a fresh inspection on it the month before I got it. And put some sort of additive in the oil after changing it. Nothing I wouldn't expect from any used car lot. But has balled front tires that never would pass any inspection(small minor thing I can live with) had an oil leak from the oil cooler that any dealership that has a mechanic shop should have easily noticed and fixed. This could have been covered by their "warranty" but never would I trust them to do it correctly with a trusted part or experienced mechanic. But first car wash after I purchased it I noticed it leaks through the windshield on the driver side. Now every time it rains it leaks onto the seat and steering wheel. This could not have been missed at any dealer lot. I found a reputable company to come and fix the problem today and was blown away when the guy showed me that someone has clearly replaced the windshield and done the worst job he had ever seen in his whole career. They used silicone to adhere the windshield in place and not the proper adhesive. No way this issue could not have been noticed and no way it ever should have been put on the lot with an issue as big as this. I would caution anyone looking for a car to shop here under any circumstances. Place's like this thrive off low income/poor credit individuals. I did all the leg work I could do and paid cash and I am still shocked at how low some places will stoop to scam people for a dollar. I thank god that their poor practices did not effect the safety of my family but this one particular issue could have cost us unimaginable damages due to the gross negligence of east end motors. If you are looking for a car I would recommend you to do all you possibly can do to avoid even stepping foot on this "dealership lot" It is not worth the safety of your family to buy from a place like this. read more

These guys are sleazy. I bought a car there and they concealed the fact that the air bags had been deployed on the vehicle. If you have a question they will not return your phone call or if you go by there they will give the run around and tell you the owner is not in. If you leave a message for the owner he ignores it and will not get back to you. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy anything from these people. read more
