Lonnie Hensley Automotive - Our Bentley at home at last!

I honestly can't say enough about the amazing service I received at Lonnie Hensley! Wish I could…read moregive them 10 stars! My Story: I headed down to Key West for a quick day trip on Friday, December 23 (i.e. the holiday weekend and a time when we all want to get out of work early to spend time with our loved ones). Our car stopped running and we were in a bind! I called several auto repair shops at around 1:30/2:00 pm. Most of them were unavailable or unwilling to take on our job. Time was of the essence, since I had to return the car and catch a flight the next afternoon. Spoke with Max on the phone and he was super patient, friendly, and understanding. He explained that he wished I called 30 mins earlier, since he literally just wrapped up a holiday party they threw for his staff. The party had wrapped up and he sent his whole staff home. However he knew it was the holiday weekend, knew that I had never been to Key West before and would only have a little bit of time to enjoy it. So with that said he and the only other mechanic around decided to take our job on, even though they were supposed to head out themselves! They quoted me the best price I had heard, and let me know that they base their prices off of a more standardized, nationwide pricing system. So we get there and drop off the car, for a job that would clearly take several hours. In the meantime, we could have relaxed on their clean, comfy lounge area that has a large tv with a Roku, Netflix, etc. Instead, again because they knew it was our only chance to see Key West or maybe just out of the kindness of their hearts, they offered us a loaner car, free of charge. That way we were still able to head into town to explore, eat, and have fun! They finished the job, and were still patient and friendly with us, even though we didn't get back to their shop until late. I can't thank them enough! I still managed to have an amazing day, thanks in large part to them and their efforts!

I have two trucks that I paid in cash for paint and body work at Conch Auto Body (before name…read morechange). Truck are a F150 and F350. Andy and Steve were very nice and professional. Every time. However, the services I received were not good at all. And still have not been addressed correctly. I should have realized they were a collision center and worked mostly with commercial accts, insurance companies. I have taken both trucks back for rework on quite a few occasions. They obliged and did not complain and did the rework. Only to get it back with similar or addition issues. This has been about a 2 year process to this point. Bottom line, the paint looked like it was shot good with some runs in the paint. Clear coat looked good. The problem came in on the prep side. And I mentioned this to Steve when I first picked them up. It was evident that the prep was overlooked. The prep is horrible on both trucks. Once the paint is laid down correcting prep issues is more difficult so it was largely ignored on subsequent visits. The prep issues have reared the ugly heads again as the paint is now peeling on both trucks. I had reassurance from Andy that they would call me to bring the trucks back in for rework when they slowed down a bit. That was a year ago and have never received a follow-up call. It now looks like the business has changed hands and this work may never get done correctly until I pay someone to un-fuck it. This review has been a long time coming as I was hoping to resolution with them directly. JS
