We expressed our frustrations to the crew leaders and eventually the owner of the company contacted us personally to resolve the issues to our satisfaction. So credit to the ownership for listening and responding with a mutually agreeable solution. As for the move itself, the crews were strong and capable. They packed things extremely well, with padding and wrapping that was more than adequate. They crews were also very client-focused and willing to disassemble and reassemble furniture upon request. To date (we just finished the move and have not unpacked everything) we have not found any damage. The good: 1. The crews and their customer friendly approach 2. The care in padding, packing and moving the furniture Room for improvement: 1. Inaccurate estimating process (maybe he had a bad day? We don't think it was intentional) resulted in surprises for us the the moving crews. 2. Communication could have been better (a move day was cancelled and no one had notified us until that afternoon).

I expected that some of the newer methods of moving such as pods, etc. would be less expensive, but they weren't for our type of move. One company does not even send an estimator to the home, it's all done by phone with the customer. That turned out to be the highest estimate. Some companies do not offer binding estimates. Some companies low-ball the binding estimate to get the lowest quote, but then charge more based on the actual inventory. Scott Relocation did not have the lowest estimate (though close to it) but I could see that Paul did a better job at creating an accurate inventory. Since we did our own packing (saves money), Paul was happy to make a number of adjustments to the inventory as we completed the final packing. (I highly recommend working with the mover to get the inventory nailed down. A 'binding estimate' is only for what's on the inventory list, so get involved with making certain that it's accurate. Joe managed the loading/unloading and who drove the huge moving van cross country. He was great to work with...ex-Navy Seal, very smart, knows his job like the back of his hand, helpful advice, and a man of integrity. He shared that he once got fired from a company for not going along with a practice called "bumping the load". He said that would be grounds for dismissal at Scott Relocation, and a big reason why he works for Scott. There's an element of trust involved both ways between mover and movee. There are ways each can try to cheat the other. Go with a mover that is honest and fair, and not necessarily the lowest estimate. Check the inventory with a fine tooth comb to uncover any low-ball estimates. Melissa in the office was great with communication and on-line docs, payment, etc. They even take credit cards for payment. The loading and unloading went smoothly with the help of local teams at each end. We were also impressed with their professionalism and care with our belongings. We rarely take this much time to write reviews, but based on our move with Scott Relocation, they deserve our highest recommendation and taking time to let potential future customers know about our experience.

This company employed and let a thief into our home! Stay far away! On top of that, they are continuing to try to accept no responsibility!! We had a backpack stolen from us with a laptop and valuable and irreplaceable personal belongings inside during our move. We are 100% certain that an employee of RL Davis was the culprit. When we realized this and tried to reach out to come to solution, they were unhelpful and instead of assisting us with making this right or at least being embarrassed by it, they feel they are not at all responsible and are hiding from us and even avoiding us! The only time they pick up is when a different number they are unfamiliar with calls them. We researched one of the 3 working that we were more suspicious of the 3. We found a rap-sheet 5 pages long with felonies, armed robbery, and MORE on their record!! Absolutely negligent in hiring someone they are letting into our home and we are now the victim.... and they are trying their best to avoid any responsibilities... stay FAR FAR away from this company!

He said things like" get away from us and let me do my," most likely because they didn't want me seeing them drop a large antique china closet 3x. I was in my house I can be whenever and say what I want. They are getting paid and even my neighbors heard him. He told my mom. My parents had another move already scheduled with them different gentlemen showed up this time thank goodness but before they even started moving they asked for their tip! I've tried to contact the office several times especially about the first gentleman's behavior cuz it was almost abusive and nobody answers and you cannot get a hold of anyone. I'm guessing cuz they don't want these type of phone calls. The three men today said that the company tells them to ask for the tip In the beginning and my parents did buy them lunch as well and I was going to let it go but this is the second horrible experience in the first one the man was actually verbally abusive to a degree where I had to actually stick up for myself and yell. If they did a good job it might be worth it but I'm not sure that any of them actually are experienced in this I've had several moves myself and have never witnessed people dropping furniture like this or asking for a tip or being rude. I know I can't act like that at my job that's for sure!
