Not only is the team at LAB qualified for the job, their personalities are a joy. It's like hanging out with a friend and getting some housework done. It didn't feel like a chore at all. Some of the things had made multiple moves with me and were never unpacked! The backstory: I paid a moving service to pack and remove, then store my house so I could put it on the market to sell. The company did not do a good job at all. They were rough with delicate items and I ended up with broken glass, marble, and ceramic items along with stretched and torn artwork on canvases. Many things were broken beyond repair, and the storage looked like a junkyard when I opened it to retrieve some items I had asked not be packed. I couldn't even step inside the storage when I first opened it! Andre came to help and within a couple of hours everything was taken out of the storage and organized into different categories. He didn't ask many questions. I was happy to not be very involved in the initial removal of the items as it was almost traumatic to see the things I owned carelessly thrown on top of one another. It was such a relief to see everything packed back into the storage unit and taking up less than half the space that the movers had originally left completely full. If I would have known of Andre's service, I would've hired him to come in and help me before I hired the movers. That way all my important stuff would have been protected and cared for better. When it's time to move the stuff to my next place, you can bet I'll be in touch! Thanks again!

As my father in law is now approaching 102 (next month), the level of care is now essential and "round the clock". With us living on the East Coast and for my wife's father to be able to remain in his own home, having a fully reliable and conscientious service was not only very important but now has become a true requirement. Because of the commitment and dedication of the owner and a number of also extraordinary staff members, we believe that the care provided has most often been truly excellent. Over now more than 2 years, Assisting Hands has earned our Trust and Confidence. When a caregiver was unavailable, Assisting Hands has always been agile and "there" to assure continuous "on site" coverage, without exception. We thank the owner and a large number of caregivers for their fine efforts, often exceeding high expectations, and delivering a level of service that has permitted my father in law to be able to stay in his home, as he very much wanted and currently desires. Should there be any questions that could be addressed by us, kindly contact the owner of Assisting Hands for our Western, New York contact information. It is true for us that a partnership with an organization such as Assisting Hands works best when there is an active family support person(s) in full contact with the service provider. The owner of Assisting Hands has gone well beyond more than both normal and high expectations to personally do everything possible to provide quality, timely, and proactive service. We have been very impressed and appreciative for the excellent overall personal services received. We very much recognize what Assisting Hands has provided for our family. We are grateful to my wife's sister for finding Assisting Hands and initiating its services, and to Nina for her caring approach in running her business. JGU

I'm so bummed. So so bummed. If I could do this all over... I'd never contact this garbage company…read more Savana may have been great but wow her former colleagues failed her in representation. 1. If there's an issue on installation.. THEY WILL cover it with putty and WILL attempt to hide it. 2. They will NOT care about the cleanliness of their own work. 3. They will NOT troubleshoot first before destroying things. 4. They WILL destroy your carpet tacking. As a woman, I'm so mad and so disappointed. I emailed Jonathan to have my bottom shelf fixed under warranty and he sent the most disrespectful employee he had. This man destroyed my white carpet and laughed when i immediately started cleaning.. he said he wasn't a big deal. Nah man. It really is. After I asked him to lay a blanket down, he started drilling holes in my toe kick. He then turned around and told me "i can't remove it. You messed up putting the carpet up against it." I asked him to stop right there... and he used a pry bar and attempted to pry my brand new carpet up off the tack strip... i yelled at him to stop and asked him to leave (1st attempt).. he did not leave. He got on his phone and continued to pry at the tack strip. I told him to stop and asked him to leave. He ignored me again and put his hand up to wave me off. Told me he's going to take care of it and started yanking at the toe kick that now had a screw in it. Being a single female in my house... I immediately felt unsafe. I've asked this man twice now to leave my house and he's refusing. Now ignoring me and damaging my property. I panic, grab his tools and place them outside on my porch and tell him to get the **** out of my house and he hesitates. Really? I yell at him one more time to get out of my house and he finally looks at me, rolls his eyes, and slowly walks out to his van... that's completely blocking my driveway. Upon returning back to my closet, I see the carpet tacking has been destroyed and the carpet is now pulled back 1/4"+ from its original place.. I have a hole in my toe kick... silicone putty smeared everywhere... and a broken shelf. I paid $6k for this stupid closet and it's turned out to be a huge regret. To start destroying things before troubleshooting or stopping to ask questions..... to have the audacity to blame the customer when your company coordinated this entire project. Wild. I started to pursue a solution via litigation. Stay away from this company.

Update (as of December 2025): After my initial review, the company reached out promptly to discuss…read moremy concerns, and their customer service completely turned this around--now I'm thrilled with the result! Originally, I was very disappointed. I paid $2,600 (after a 40% discount) for a closet system that felt overly basic--mostly particle board with simple rods. The shelves weren't level, it looked cheap and poorly assembled, and the installers left my walls pitted and damaged after removing the old shelving, without giving me a chance to repair them first. For something meant to be a permanent fixture in my home, it just didn't feel worth the price, and I regretted not doing it myself. But then Mike, the manager, personally called to understand why I was so unhappy. He sincerely apologized and quickly came up with a solution. He sent the installation team back out with additional backing pieces, and the difference is night and day--the closet now looks sturdy, polished, and truly worth every dollar. This level of responsiveness and commitment to making things right is rare. They're a local company that's professional, prompt, and genuinely cares about their customers. Huge thanks to Mike, Alonso, Jaime, and Diane for going above and beyond. Sorry I was a tough customer at first--you've earned a loyal one now! Highly recommend giving them a chance.
