I went to them for oil changes because they offer an oil change package that is quite affordable. I've always said thanks but no thanks to all their upsell stuff and been on my way. The last time I was there the guy got mad at me for refusing the upsells, saying that they are losing money on me, and that I'm supposed to be letting them do other, much more expensive stuff. Fair enough. A transaction needs to work for everyone involved. I don't go there anymore (even though they keep mailing me the oil change coupons). I do feel bad for the old ladies that they fast-talk $500 out of for a brake pad changes or a spark plug swap. read more

Took my car in for an oil change and when I refused the additional $2100 of "critical issues" they found, I was told I was driving an unsafe car and I was hung up on. I took into another shop today and neither of the critical issues were recommended to me. The brake pads EAS told me were below 3 mm were shown to me at 4.5. The "significant leak" that was found in a heater hose was tiny and leaking so little coolant that I didn't even need to be topped off. If I could give them a negative rating I would. read more

I was a bit disappointed with my experience at EAS Tire & Auto Chatfield. I brought my car in for an oil change after calling around a number of places and really appreciating how they seemed to be incredibly honest and transparent with me. I was prepared to bring my car in a few months ago for an oil change and they told me it was too soon and guided me to wait. I appreciated that. So when it came time, I didn't call around again to see what specials were going on at other businesses and I came straight here. Unfortunately my experience was not as I hoped. They advertise a $39.95 introductory oil change special for all new customers. I was expecting that to be what I walked away paying and getting the full comprehensive oil change service I am used to. After literally expressing to the staff how I chose EAS because of their transparency/honesty, I was surprised to find they don't voluntarily offer the special to their new customers - even when it was discussed over the phone. Had I not questioned the quote, I would not have been given the special price. They asked me if I would like my tires rotated for an additional fee. I was surprised to find that wasn't included in the oil change price/service as other places I've brought my car to in the past offer that as a complimentary inclusion (Meineke, Pep Boys). I tried to use their $10 tire rotation add on coupon, but I was informed I couldn't combine it with the oil change discount. None of their coupons actually state they can't be combined, and since it was two separate services I was surprised they wouldn't honor both coupons. They do generously offer a courtesy Lyft/shuttle service which is very nice. I was a little confused as they informed me the Lyft they ordered was $20 - for a 5 minute ride. Was odd to me especially considering when I checked Lyft myself, it was only $8. They said I would be charged the difference but I'm not sure if i was or if they ended up waiving it. There is a $5 environmental fee on my bill- not sure if that is the Lyft difference or just a random add on charge. The ironic thing about their "get to know us" special is that it showed me EAS is no different than many of the other auto places out there that will just look to maximize the $ they can get when you walk in the door. I went in anticipating a $39.95 bill and walked away paying $65- so needless to say I was disappointed. Their staff is all very nice and pleasant to deal with, but I just don't love the "surprise" charges and their handling of the introductory offer. The front desk guys pretend to listen and pretend to know what they are talking about but trust them not. I have spent over $10k in the last few years and on average they charge me more than $1k over estimate without blinking an eye. They do repairs that were not authorized and just don't do what they commit to ever. So frustrating and expensive. Never again!!! read more

Accessed their web site and saw that they were promoting a 'Get to know us' offer for 1st time users. It was a good offer so we decided to try it. Clicked on Scheduling and chose a 7:45 am appointment for Monday to get an oil change. Got an email that stated someone would call us or email us. Never received an email, nor got a call. Come Monday morning - tried calling to verify the appointment, but no one answered the phone. Decided to go there and arrived at 7:30 am (15 minutes before supposedly scheduled appointment). They looked for the appointment and didn't see any. That's when one of the service advisors asked - "When did you schedule the appointment". I stated ... Sunday evening. That's when he replied that scheduling doesn't work on the weekends. I was surprised and stated ... Well it seemed to have taken the appointment and generated a response email. He said no and that no entry would have been submitted. Well I went ahead and said I'd like to get an oil change anyway. They stated that it would take a while and offered a Lyft ride back to my house. That was at 7:45 am on Monday. I got a text message at 4:00 pm (almost 9 hours later), that my vehicle was ready. Now I understand that some things can take a while, even most of the day. I don't believe oil changes fit into a 9 hour category. It seems to me that since their scheduling app failed to make the appointment, that even though they were willing to take my vehicle in, they seemed to have put it at the end of the queue. The reason for the 3 stars is that all of the people were very nice and somewhat apologetic. What would have been nicer was to squeeze my vehicle in sooner rather than the end of the day based on a web design problem that their site has and was no fault of mine. Unfortunately, my experience at this Eagle Automotive Service location was disappointing. My requested service for my F150 was a typical oil change, tire rotation, a general inspection, and to resolve an issue with the turn indicator. I left my truck at 1:00 and was told that it may be ready by 5:00. I thought that was a bit optimistic, but I was hopeful. I received a call around 6:00 and was told that the oil change was completed as was the tire rotation. However, I was told that they would have to continue the work on the turn indicator tomorrow and I should receive a call with an update within the first half of the day. I agreed to that plan and to have them continue the work the next day. I called around 12:00 for an update. The gentleman that answered the phone told me that my service technician was on the phone and would call me back. About 10 minutes later is when I got my first text update with the recommended service for my truck. I then received a phone call from my service tech. He basically said the same thing as he did the prior evening, and I indicated that I was under the impression that the work was to continue. He apologized and said that they would start the work and call me back by 2:00. One red flag that I saw on the recommended service was recommending refinishing my headlights because they were not clear. However, that was caused by backsplash from the roads. All that was needed was a wash. After not receiving a phone call by 3:30, I called eagle automotive again. I was told my service technician was talking to the mechanic working on my truck and he would return my phone call. On the return call, I was told that the mechanic was working on another vehicle and that they did not get to work on my truck. My two options were to pick up my truck or to leave it for the weekend and they continue the work on Monday. I decided to pick up the truck. From what I concluded; my truck sat at the shop all day on Friday with no work being done on it. To say the least, I am very disappointed. I will look for another auto repair shop for the preventative maintenance on my F150. read more

Never bring your car here, you'd be better off learning how to fix it yourself. I started bringing my car here when I bought it in late 2019 and as I type this in April 2024 there have been 7 changes of management and none of them have gone smoothly so almost every time my car had issues(especially the 5 different times it was the shops fault) it was a new person who knew nothing about my car. When I bought my car it had an oil leak and the manager didn't even check if the engine was still under warranty and the maker would have replaced it at no cost which they would have done the first time it leaked and the shop did a half ass cheap fix that didn't work but a month later when it was still leaking oil the warranty had just expired and I had to pay out of pocket for a completely new engine. A month after that my serpentine belt flew off on the highway because they didn't install it properly and my water pump was damaged. They replaced both for free as they did with most of the mistakes they made on my car but when they damaged my steering wheel and left a giant rough scrape down the side of it the 3rd manager is worked with there told me they would replace it but I didn't hear anything for two months and when I finally called because even Covid delays wouldn't take that long he said he'd had the new wheel for weeks but wanted to double check it was right so I sent his some photos of my wheel and he'd gotten the wrong one and needed to replace it and get a new one, again over a month wait and again when I called the wheel had been there for weeks but this one had been damaged while it was sitting on a shelf so they needed to order yet another one again a month wait, I finally call, this time he says the wheel just got in, it's absolutely the right one, I bring my car in and get a call an hour later saying they took my wheel off and only realized the new one was indeed the wrong wheel when they tried to put it on so they put my old wheel back and after I picked up my car two of the settings for my headlights no longer worked so now my headlights only turn on in auto mode, not if I put the stalk to the on setting, I bring it in, they say it works fine and I was confused about the labels, I check my owners manual that confirms I was right all along about the labels but they still refused to do anything. Nearly 2 years since they initially damaged my steering wheel it's still not been fixed, the lights still don't work right, and when I last talked to them I was told they couldn't keep ordering steering wheels and getting charged to return them so they'd see about cutting me a check to make it right and they just ghosted me about it, not answering my calls, not returning my messages. The owner will also constantly text you to try to schedule more times for you to come in and spend more money with them even over a year after you've stopped going there read more

My front passenger tire was almost completely flat and I stopped at a philips 66 but their air machine was broken. Luckily I passed Eagle Automotive Services a mile down the road and two gentlemen just waved me right into the garage and filled up my tire that would have been destroyed otherwise. The staff here are incredible ( and have been conscientious during COVID times of their cleanliness and use of masks). Even when I couldn't figure out how to open my Jeep hood (I even looked it up online and who knew there would be a covered key hole in the grill!), and even when something that hadn't been working began working when they tried to diagnose it, they contininued to treat me with the utmost professionalism. They were prompt in contacting me with updates throughout an intermittent engine light diagnostic process. When I didn't understand something, they talked me through everything until it was clear to me. I dealt most with Eric and Dave, and they are the best! My oh my I get a reward of 13.00 from these guys when they charged me a total of 260 dollars for two alignments and my car still pulls more than it did when I took it to them 4 or 5 months ago. I dropped my car off at 8:00 for an oil change. I explained I had oral surgery that afternoon so needed it back by noon. I was reassured it would be done and the customer rep said he put a note in to be done by noon. I walked back to pick up car at noon. They hadn't even gotten it in yet. When I got my invoice the technician didn't really go over the car and a week later my brake line broke. Also, I found out from a another auto garage that the part cost 84 and Eagle charged me double- 168. We called Eagle but they claimed they couldn't fully check the brake line...and since they offer a four warranty that was their reasoning to double cost of the part. read more

Been a customer for over 5 years. I had always bought the oil coupon card. Yesterday Andrew told me since I never buy a service they recommend I can not continue to buy the oil change card. His exact words we sell you the card to get you to buy other services. What? Buying an oil change is a service. Every time I come in they try to sell their recommendation. Its unbelievable that an employee has the power not to sell you a service. Look at all the one star ratings. (all 3 stores) The history shows they are not as honest as signage says. I recommend these guys to everyone. I've been really pleased with them. This was my 2nd oil change at Eagle, plus I had brake work done. The MOA additive they use is amazing. I've never seen such amazing results from an oil change. I highly recommend the oil change with MOA additive. It seems to remove the sludge built up inside the engine over the years and reduce friction. The 1st oil change with them, my gas mileage on my 2007 Chevy Malibu went from 25.8 mpg to about 28.3 mpg. This 2nd time, it went up to about 31.3 mpg so far. I haven't seen that good of mpg in years. Also, this time there were complications on my brake job with 2 consecutive parts from the auto store that were defective out of the box. The guys were in constant communication and even set me up with a loaner vehicle over the weekend until they reopened on Monday and were able to get the part they needed and finish the repair. They came across to me as honest guys and they really put in a lot of effort to make sure I was taken care of. The brakes on my car work excellent now and are very quiet. My gas mileage is the best it's been in years. read more

Sadly I feel that because I initially left such a glowing review, it's my responsibility to report that our feelings have changed a bit. We still like this place, and may continue to get routine service done here. They seem super honest and I think they try very hard. But they just seem to lack competent diagnosticians. Any time I've had anything remotely difficult to figure out with either of my cars, they just come up empty. Or they're wrong. I really wish they'd go out and recruit some hardcore ex-dealership technicians who really know what they're doing and who have been around the block. I will add a remark about some of the negative reviews. Yes, Eagle makes it a routine to inform you of other work they think you need. I will even go so far as to say that that work is sometimes clearly unneeded (ie, they may list some routine maintenance that they'd just done for you three months earlier). In their defense, I do believe those reports are somewhat autogenerated by their computer system, and they never ever ever ever pressure you AT ALL to do any of the suggested work. Whatever their faults, Eagle is not a dishonest, sketchy outfit. read more

I had the exact same experience as Claire M and Shalyn H.. I just went in for a simple oil change and then they give me this long list of repairs that they said I "needed" for $1700. Well I just took the car to the dealership and they didn't find anything wrong with it. They also need to have your car for half the day for an oil change. You can't just make an appointment and have it done in less than an hour like every other mechanic that I've ever been to. Is that so they have enough time to come up with a bunch of excuses to charge you more money? Probably. BUYER BEWARE! I was told I needed a cabin air filter for my Subaru Forester. The charge would be $73.35 that included the $40 installation fee. I was told the installation was expensive because they had to take out the glove compartment to get to it. I declined the air filter and did my own research. All I had to do was remove the stuff in my glove compartment, turn a knob on the back of the glove compartment to open the filter box, remove the old, filter and replace it with the new one that I purchased at NAPA for $11.19. read more

I am very impressed with Eagle Automotive's diagnostic exam as "no stone was left unturned" with how thorough their workflow is. They provided photos at each step in their diagnosis and picked up every detail, including the fact that I put the replacement knob on my HVAC control 180* in the wrong direction - a silly nuance but reflects that they took the time to check and document all of the details. The diagnostic report is broken down into "levels of severity" so that one can address the most pressing items and know that other items should be attended to or be in the back of the owner's mind as something that will eventually need addressing. I requested that they flush and replace my differential fluids after I recieved the report; this is something I would not have checked for at least a few 10,000 miles more but their assessment (with photos) found that the clarity of the fluid was something that needed to be addressed immediately. Having a Jeep TJ with an expensive aftermarket locking rear diff, I am very thankful this was assessed and addressed. The staff was friendly and professional and reminded me of my appointment via email and text, which I appreciate. read more

I haven't even got my car fixed there yet and I already know this is the place to go. Recently bought a car from a guy said there was nothing wrong with it except a few cosmetic problems. Turns out needs a whole new clutch and timing belt. Now I have $2000 in repairs. Even with this price I still felt comfortable with it because of how caring they are here. Don't go to Eagle Automotive. They will try to rip you off. I did comparison shopping from another shop. Here are the differences: 1. Eagle wanted to charge 30% more for the same work. 2. The work was for a Master Brake Cylinder and Power steering work, and they wanted to charge about $250 extra to flush out the systems. Tell me why is this necessary when the systems will be drained anyway in doing the work. 3. They gave estimates on work that did not need to be done including: a. Transmission service - this was done on the vehicle 2 years prior and b. Flushing coolant - they said it was dirty - it had been flushed out 1 year prior and c. They said the oil was low and was leaking. I checked the oil a few days afterwards, and it was not low, plus there isn't any oil leaking on the ground, plus the oil was changed just 2 weeks ago. Oh, and the other shop did not charge for the inspection. Eagle said it would be $55 which I agreed to, but when I came to get the vehicle it was over $60 for some stupid shop rags. I was so ready to get the vehicle back that I didn't want to argue. Overall they wanted to charge us $4700, as opposed to the other shop which wanted to charge under $2000. I will never come back to Eagle. No way, DAVE!! read more

Used to use Eagle a lot, but last fall I brought my car in for repair of multiple oil leaks and a timing belt. When I got it back, it was running badly. So I brought the car back again and asked that they check the timing which was clearly off. The guy working the desk had to argue: He couldn't understand the need to check the timing after changing the timing belt. YES you shouldn't have to adjust the timing, but if the car's not running right, and you just CHANGED the timing belt, it seems like as good place to start. The power steering belt is also loose from their repair, but I'm not bringing it back for that. Three stars for fixing the oil leaks, no stars for attitude. read more

Had to drop off the car a couple different times due to needing the car for work, and they always had it ready for me when they said they would. The service reps are helpful and informative.
