I wish she would have spoken up but she said she was just surprised and really didn't know what to do. In the past, the techs have asked so she was caught off guard a little, and she felt the tech should have at least checked to make sure she liked the color and design, and I would agree with that. Overall this isn't a bad place to go, and the acetone smell isn't terribly overwhelming...I have been at some places that it is so strong that I have a pounding headache by the time the appointment is over. Prices are reasonable, a mani-pedi with a design was $38, French tips are $5 extra, as well as designs.

I got a nice full set manicure along with a pedicure with my toe nails painted black. He didn't judge me or talk about me because it's been a little while since my last pedicure. Okay I normally don't do this but I'm doing it. Rant Alert…read more I went to Diamond Nails at 4:40pm, I was seated by 5pm and showed the nail tech a picture of what I wanted. See pic attached. He nodded and got to work. I thought it was odd that he did literally 1 coat of polish and sent me on my way. I got to my car and looked at my nails. They were completely see through, the hot pink polish that was previously on my nails was still on my nails and "coated" over. I also check their Facebook menu pricing, it said "full set with shellac polish, $40.00", I was charge $53.00 +tip. I walked back in and politely asked for a color change as I didn't not like the color provided and you could still see my old polish. They told me to take a seat and a lady came and got me. Instead of just using polish remover she complete shaved down my nails, re buffed them, and painted them the pink I had chosen. She proceeded to charge me $24.00 +tip for a color change. The owner/manager could tell I was not happy about this and handed me a $15.00 gift card, I went to use the gift card to pay for the polish change that should have been free since it wasn't done correctly the first time and the owner/manager proceeded to tell me I couldn't use the gift card until the next time I come. I'm screaming mad but am terrible at confrontation and don't want to "be a Karen". Ladies, learn from my mistake. Do NOT go to Diamond Nails in Waterloo. Yep that is just fine we understand the difference between actuality what humans do and internet. The girl my daughter got was absolutely rude. Never asked length or shape, not that it even mattered because each nail is a different length and shape now. No cuticle work. No clean up of what she got underneath the tips and on skin. They are thick and uneven and gross. Then we get to the nail art that we had already discussed. She literally goes "pick something basic. I am not doing that". She ended up with a single finger of ugly ass checker board. My daughter asked if she could get at least a different color and she said no. We are so disappointed. Last time we were there we talked with several ladies who had just got amazing nail art. And it would have been different if they said "no we can't do that" and then actually gave her a beautiful set of "basic" nails. But they gave her trash and were super rude.

(Meaning- when I went to my 2nd visit. # of hair that had to be removed) There is a pinch before each hair is removed. But it's nothing terrible. - as its better then being waxed!!
