Earth Shop & Café is a wonderful brunch spot with a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes it easy to settle in and stay a while. The service was excellent throughout, attentive without being intrusive, which matched the overall laid back atmosphere perfectly. The space itself has a lot of personality, with beautiful art on the walls and an array of products on display that would make for great souvenirs or gifts. We ordered an espresso, cappuccino, a pink panther strawberry smoothie and a freshly squeezed orange juice, all of which hit the spot. On the food side, the breakfast burrito and the earth delight, a lovely combination of yogurt, granola, fruit, honey, croissant and jams, were both fantastic. The staff even brought out an award winning hot sauce to go alongside the burrito, a small but memorable touch. The crowd added to the charm too. This is one of those places where form the first bite, you can tell you're having a freshly made meal. They're busy, but sat us pretty quickly. They do accept reservations. Our breakfast came with coffee and orange juice included. I went for the salmon eggs Benedict. Freshly made bread with jammy was served as well. The restaurant is augmented into their store with a selection of wines, sauces, and Jammy. Mild music in the background, very family friendly environment, and extremely attentive staff. Came here after a wedding for some much needed hangover smoothies. We took them to go the service was friendly and the place seemed nice. The smoothies were good. However, they were about the same price as what you would pay in New York which was surprising, and dinged them a star. I think that maybe this area is full of transplants and this is the price that they can get here, but I'm not too sure. There also didn't seem to be any other local smoothie stores (although tons of happy hours in the area), so perhaps it is a supply and demand thing. That being said, the smoothies were good and stop in if you need some hydration and nutrients! read more

So lucky to have found this amazing place. So many delicious choices to eat and for me that's saying a lot. As a gluten free/vegetarian married to a carnivore it's hard to find a place we both like. After a morning of sea kayaking in Banagil, we drove 10 minutes away from the tourist hordes to this perfect family cafe for all-day brunch. We had smoothies, coffee, fresh orange juice, eggs benedict with bacon, breakfast burrito, a BLT, "yogurt with goodies", and an enormous shareable pancake (which was more crepe-like than a typical US diner-style pancake). Super friendly service and a terrific shop selling local products made it a must-visit spot. Picked up some tinned fish to take home as gifts! A nice bonus is the convenient free parking in town. read more

Beautiful, sunny space and friendly service. As a single diner I wasn't asked to sit in a cramped corner as I often am. The eggs Benedict was divine and the view made it even better. Lovely little cafe, very child friendly. The view is great, and the menu is great. It's not really your typical Portuguese fare, but they have a great lighter menu, lots of vegetables, and vegan and vegetarian food. There is definitely something for everyone here, and it's a nice break to the chicken/fish + French fries/rice that you often find for lunch here. Go for a light lunch, a glass of wine (or three) and for the good edibles in the shop. read more
