Having never been to another planet, I suppose I'm lacking a certain frame of reference, but the planet Earth has some growing up to do. The major drawback is the ever growing number of human beings who generally treat the planet like it's their own private trash can. Now you might think that the human beings are not the Earth's fault, but have you ever seen human beings on any other planet? Trust me; the Earth deserves the lion's share of the blame on that point.
Also on the downside is that fact that three quarters of the Earth is covered by water, which makes driving from Washington D.C. to Europe impossible, and many swaths of the landmass that is there are basically useless or even dangerous (thinking North Pole and volcanos).
The Earth often seems needlessly complicated too. For example, why have death? Doesn't the Earth understand how death is inevitably going to create a lot of unnecessary stress and aggravation?
But, to be fair, it's not all bad. The Earth does offer a lot of air, which one can breathe, generally free of charge, and you can grow food on it. You can take a nap on it too. Oh, and the best thing about Earth is they have beer there, so it's really hard to knock. Besides, once you're on the Earth it's virtually impossible to get off, so you might as well accentuate the positives, you know? read more
