I know this wasn't cheap, but they know how much I love plants -- I have over 100 indoor plants -- so it was such a thoughtful and meaningful gift. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company due to its replacement policy and customer service. Even with a green thumb and years of experience caring for plants, almost half of the plants I received did not survive for more than a month. What is disappointing is that the company only offers a replacement or refund within 3 days of receiving the plants. Plants are living things, and sometimes issues do not become apparent immediately. A better policy would allow customers enough time to see whether the plants are truly healthy. For comparison, companies like Costa Farms have a much more customer-friendly return policy, which shows they stand behind the quality of their plants. The person who emailed my daughter today after she reached out for help was also unfriendly and unhelpful, which made the experience even more disappointing. I truly appreciate the thoughtful gift from my children -- the idea was perfect because they know me so well -- but unfortunately, this company did not live up to the expectations that came with such a special gift.

I try to find a time to reschedule (there's no emergency here thankfully) and he says it's 1000 dollars plus the repair to come on a Sunday. 4. Says photos will be taken down like in the past. Clearly this isn't the first time. There are a lot of companies to choose from please pick someone else.

(Not BB, but yall remember that place.) As the daughter of a professional tradesman, I know more than average about what I'm looking for in hardware. And Rudy was also helpful with a smile and without any of the attitude about helping a lady look for a special piece of hardware. I was a little sad when that old lumber yard place closed, mostly because Rudy. Now, I'd also go over to Bourget bros for garden rocks and the occasional drill bit. And yall could not imagine how delighted I was that BB had the wisdom to hire Rudy! I think higher of the whole establishment in general because of it. Our fella Rudy is working in the paint department and two weeks ago he helped me make some duplicate keys I needed. He's still being awesome. If you need paint or key or anything in Rudy's department, do yourself a favor and see this gem of a human. I snapped a lil pic to show my husband that Rudy is helping me. (I hope that cool with R.) I just think he's a hardworking, nice fella and I'm happy he's still working nearby. In my mind he's part of all the little things I like about living in SM. We decided to clean up the area so we could host an important family event, and our search led to Gio and his team. He responded quickly, and we discussed what we were looking for in re-purposing the rear 1/3 of our property. He described his vision and methods, and provided a very reasonable quote. We decided to move forward, and we left it up to him to provide and plant what was needed to create a perfect space that was both functional for entertainment and really pleasant to just relax and enjoy. Gio and his team did not disappoint. He met (and exceeded) our expectations, and stuck to the schedule and budget. And he didn't just create planter areas and new lawn, he also installed a paver walkway to match our existing patio stones. When he was finished with the original scope, he offered to maintain the rear yard to make sure our investment (and his hard work) would continue to look as good as the day he finished. He is not a typical "mow-blow-& go" gardening service. When he and his team arrive, they look around, see whatever needs care and attention, make everything right, and leave every inch of the yard neatly trimmed and clean. Lastly, I want to note how grateful I am that he and his team took special care to help our bougainvilleas and orange tree flourish. Gio had a great idea to "train" the bougainvilleas along our rear wall and now they're like artwork by our pergola. True, they're not that rare in LA, but they were planted by my parents and hold much sentimental value. Being able to see them grow and do well has me count his services as a solid ROI alone. Gardening is an art and a science. We're so grateful to have found a dedicated pro who has been able to provide us solutions for all things plant-related here in LA!

Getting the rabbits to stop feeding on my lawn turned into an all out war, my neighbors used to joke with me that I was worse than Bill Murray in Caddyshack and I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about sticking some dynamite in the dirt (that used to be my lawn). Something about having perfectly trimmed, green grass on my yard puts a smile on my face. I decided to start shopping around for synthetic turf installation options. Looks like everyone and their brother has gone ahead and decided to start a turf company, talked to one salesman after the next....reminded me of shopping for refi's...I think I even recognized my old mortgage bankers voice behind one of the lines I called.....most of these guys are all pushing certain brands they must have relationships with who provide co op (I ran and operated a landscape company for 12 yrs and understand the game). I came across Earth Design somewhere online and what I liked was they weren't pushing products on me, they asked good questions and most importantly to me, they listened as I answered their questions, they listened. When I had questions, they had answers...not assumptive answers, not guesses, not sales motormouths, legitimate answers! They had a nice brand selection and set me up with some great turf. They also set up a drip low flow irrigation which should save me this yr. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about synthetic turf, but knew it was better than the alternative. Its been 3 and a half months now and two of my neighbors now have turf installed from ED too.They called a few turf companies along with ED on my recommendation and they had the same feedback. Anyways, with all the sleaziness out there, its just refreshing to hire someone competent and hard working anymore. Anyone who wants to see pics or if I can give insight, let me know. I have never posted a yelp review before but felt the need to do so now. We just had our very ugly grass lawn replaced with turf from Earth Design. Seth was our amazing salesman and is a real straight shooter and always responsive and on time. My husband and I had looked at about 20 different turf products from other vendors and nothing compared to the product we used from Earth Designs. It is by far the most natural looking and the price was the most competitive, which made our decision an easy one. The crew of 6 showed up at 7:30 a.m. (30 minutes early) ready to work. They were a well oiled machine and were the most productive hard workers we have yet had work on our property. They even replaced two pieces of sod on our front yard that my husband was going to do, without being asked. Their clean up was spotless. There was not a speck of grass, mud, or material left in our front or back yard or in the street. They even layed plastic over our swimming pool to be sure no debris would enter the pool while they were working. Diego seemed to be the supervisor for our job and was very easy to work with. He even let me sneak in quickly and paint the wall that needed touch up above where the turf would be. ( He even had his worker scrub down the wall for me beforehand). The process so so painless!!! We met with Seth on Tuesday, went to see a yard that had just been installed with our product (Sierra Pro-Delustered premium synthetic turf) locally the next day, and on Friday our 600 sq. feet of new turf was in by 3 p.m. with the custom grading that we wanted. It is near our swimming pool so no more lawn floating in the pool after the gardener leaves! In fact we are not going to have the gardener even come into the back yard any more. These guys were so great, I'm seriously trying to find more work for them to do. Had artificial turf installed in our driveway and sidewalk, as well as a decomposed granite path formed to our guest house. Turned out beautiful. Seth beat all the competitors pricing and was an excellent communicator. He brought great samples and explained the process in detail. Two days after hiring him, he had 8-10 guys on the property and they finished the entire project within one day. I cannot begin to emphasize what a blessing that is in any home project. It felt better than Christmas morning to me to have it all done in one day. Not to mention the quality of the work was excellent and protected by warranty. And when small cracks appeared in the DG path the next day, he immediately sent his crew and fixed it until it was perfect. Highly recommend and would hire again without hesitation. Earth Design is definitely top line when it comes to setting the industry standard. Wish all other contractors worked the way these guys do. I have a small backyard in Redondo Beach and was always a firm believer that there was no better substitute for real grass. But after years of dry, brittle tuft scratchy grass between large patches of dirt, I decided to research the idea of synthetic turf. I settled on Earth Design after meeting with a few other companies. Seth provided several beautiful options of artificial turf and was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all my nit-picky questions and offered great suggestions for my design issues. I have never been happier and I feel like I've created a whole other room to our home. We have used the backyard area more this week than we have in 3 years! I drink my coffee out there every morning with my puppy who loves it and my son has already had a camping sleepover. After researching several companies, I hired Earth Designs to install new artificial grass in both the front and back yards at my house in West Los Angeles. Seth gave us excellent advice and the price was competitive. His crew showed up on time, removed all the old turf, and installed the beautiful new grass in two days exactly as promised. As luck would have it, within a week after installation, the toilet in the house backed up, and I was told that the sewer line under the new grass was clogged with tree roots. So we had to roll up the new artificial grass from a large area of the front yard, to dig up the sewer line and repair it. This gave me a chance to see that Earth Designs had done an excellent job of providing the underlayment for the grass. After the sewer work was done, Earth Designs repaired the underlayment and the grass for a very reasonable price, so it looks like new. Not much of a turf guy, always wanted real grass, but having young children really does a number on the grass. So, I bit the bullet. I got 4 different quotes, and chose Earth Design. Most places only have a 1-3 year warranty on their labor, but they have a 15 yr warranty. I'll pay a little extra for that because it's totally worth it. They did a great job, and finished in 1 day. I had a little under 600 sq ft. done. Anyhow, crew was professional and courteous, as they left my backyard cleaner than it was. It's tough to find good contractors that back up their work... Earth Design is it, and they back it up with their warranty on labor and the turf itself. I'd recommend them to any of my friends or neighbors thinking about making the change. Seth did a great job, even came out on short notice for a second time to see more options. That's the kind of customer service I appreciate, I'm sure you would too. Thanks Earth Design! read more

We had several companies come out to give us a bid, a couple were higher and a couple were lower. We eventually selected Earth Design, because Seth was very patient with us. We had him come out at least 3 times to go over the project and answer questions and each time we did, Seth was very informative and put us at ease. We finally signed the deal and set a date. Seth and his team showed up the day we scheduled for, we went over the project one more time, then off to work they went. It was amazing to watch them, the job was scheduled to take two days, but they got it done in one and it looks amazing. My wife was so happy, but not as happy as my 3 year old daughter, who has insisted on playing on it every day since. I highly recommend Seth, because he was reliable, held to his word and delivered a very nice product! We couldn't be happier!! read more

Wow, complete turn around from previous experience. I had a small problem and contacted Earth Design, got a response right away (a good thing) and they said they would send someone over in the next few days. Over a week goes by and no one, so I call again and leave msg, no response. I wait a few more days and call again and leave another msg. No response. I called a total of 5 times and the last time spoke to a lady who said they were very busy, sorry for the non-response and someone would contact we with a day or two. Another week gone by and no response!!! I know summer can be a busy time for syn grass companies, and I wasn't asking for them to drop everything for me, but after 5 calls/msg and over a month timespan, you'd think they'd at least be professional enough to call back and give me some timeframe. read more

Very happy with our synthetic turf from Earth Design. Seth came to the house with various turf samples to review and to discuss the turf options, layout and to answer my questions on maintenance and implementation. In less than an hour he had measured, come up with the design and helped me choose the best turf for our needs. The quote was much more affordable than the others I received. Earth Design provides timely responses, helpful answers and information, and was able to install our turf ahead of schedule! The workers were courteous and helpful and the turf looks fantastic. Earth Design has done 2 major project for me at our hotel Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach. The first project was the main entrance landscape driveway and surrounding area which improved our entire look and the other designers carried Earth Scapes design throughout the rest of our hotel. Seth Breitbart and the team at Earth Design turned our brown yard to green this past Monday. We were impressed with the initial presentation by Seth and quickly moved to get approval by our homeowner's association. I highly recommend these guys. Our backyard (although small) was completed in one afternoon. They had a hard working team who pulled out several shrubs and old grass, and installed turf (dog friendly) and rocks - our backyard looks amazing and I honestly don't know why I waited so long. I feel like I have new space to live/entertain in after being in this house for over 10 years! I was concerned about our 2 dogs not liking the turf, but they have been great and don't seem to care about doing their business on turf or real grass! The EarthDesign crew were right on point. They were professional in all aspects of the job. The crew lead reviewed the scope of work with me, and the team went above and beyond when they reworked the existing bender board to ensure it would present well with there turf. I am very happy with my new synthetic turf from Earth Design. I got estimates from three different companies. Earth Design was the lowest and had the nicest grass samples. The one I selected looks so real that walking neighbors told me they had to stop and pull on it to see if it were real or not. That's just how good it looks! I love looking at it myself. My neighbor used Earth Design and gave me their number. I bought the Rhino Turf Sage De-Lustered Premium for my backyard. The entire process from the consultation to the installation was flawless. I am very pleased and highly recommend them. They are competitively priced, offer a wide selection of turf, the installers were on time, professional and left the area spotless. We interviewed a handful of companies and no-one was as professional as Seth and his team. They were also extremely competitive and thorough. His massive crew were very impressive and efficient. They did the entire job in one day and I documented (with photos) each step. We got everything we wanted. Joe and the Titan Pavers team did a large paver installation project for us, including updating our…read moreexisting paver layout, adding new pavers, building a paver block wall, installing lighting, and adding a water drain line, French drain, and other drainage work. They also handled paver repairs along the way and made sure the finished work met our standards. Joe is a real pro, very communicative throughout the project, and even called to check in on days when he was not on site with his team. What I appreciated most was that their biggest concern was making sure we were happy with the project and keeping the customer first, which is very hard to find these days. After getting bids from other paver contractors, we are really glad we found Titan Pavers, and if you are debating between other companies, go with Titan Pavers because they will get the job done right.

Brad, the owner, was on site pretty much the whole time to ensure a high-quality finish. They were prompt, provided their own restroom for workers, maintained a clean workspace, and cared for our property as if it was their own. You just don't find artisan installers like this anymore. Moreove, my wife is a designer and is extremely picky. She had absolutely nothing to say regarding their work product - not a single critique (this is as rare as a Big Foot sighting in Los Angeles). She's thrilled with the finished product; we both are. Cannot emphasize this more: DO NOT look elsewhere for turf companies. THIS is the team. From start to finish, they executed to perfection. Because I had a poor experience with another turf company years ago, I did a ton of research on which product would be the most ideal for my needs, and this time I found Cocoturf and met it's proprietor, Olivier. I really couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish. I called as a cold lead just after finding the website, explained my needs, and Olivier came out to meet me, see the main project, brought a ton of samples, and made the perfect recommendation for my needs. He's a great guy, I felt that he cared about the product that he sold me, and he's extremely knowledgeable about all kinds of turf. He communicates very clearly, doesn't waste time (I love that), and delivers what he promises. My two jobs were pretty small, but he treated me like I was a $30k customer. That stood out to me. Install day came, and while I had different crews for each project, they did a phenomenal job with the install. Shout out to Jose and Carlos, the foremen for my jobs. Jose even drove an hour, one-way, on his day off, to fix a minor issue that I was too dumb to fix myself. The product looks beautiful, my dogs are very happy and I'm confident that I can rely on Cocoturf and Olivier if I have any problems.
