I've been coming to the Herb Bar for years, but my recent visit truly stood out. A few weeks ago, I…read morewas helped by Kassidy , and I honestly can't say enough good things about her. I explained my struggles with anxiety, and she was more knowledgeable, compassionate, and understanding than any professional I've worked with before. She holds no judgment, just compassion and guidance to healing. I've had trouble sleeping for years, and Kassidy took the time to really listen, educate me, and support me in a way that felt deeply personal. She has such a thoughtful understanding of what it's like to be a woman dealing with anxiety, and that made all the difference. I came back today just to see her again and thank her for the help she gave me. It is such a relief to find someone who truly cares, understands the suffering that comes with anxiety, and genuinely wants to help. Kassidy is an absolute blessing, and the Herb Bar is lucky to have her.

They had some cool room & body sprays which Im looking forward to trying! The service is still an issue. The women working her lack customer service skills and generally etiquette for a business..

She said that most people don't research Kratom to find out the effects of over use. They had free chair massages the night I went and a jazz group at 8:30. Wonderful experience. I'll be back!

Plenty of parking which is a major plus! Like most kava bars , the ambiance and vibes it gives off are chill and relaxing. Casey was our bartender for that evening and was very welcoming. He helped my wife pick out a drink and I had their tongan kava. Both drinks were amazing, while we were relaxing and enjoying our drinks we were able to meet couple of their regulars which welcomed us to their city. All In all we really enjoyed our time here, the vibes , customers and staff definitely makes us want to come back again on our next visit . Also do not sleep on the food truck behind the building! They make some delicious Arepas!

You need any votive candles, tall candles for ofrendas (altars), Mexican blankets to keep you warm…read moreor lay down at Blues on the Green, or looking for Virgen de Guadalupe statues/rose spray/candles/all the things? You need to come here. I do not know another shop like this in Austin where Cantu's has been my go-to for the 21 years of me living here. This is a rare gem of a store in South Austin that you have to know about if you don't already. This is a very unique, quiet, and calm place to come in to whether you want to browse or you are curious about a consultation at Lee's Healing Center (located inside the shop in the back). When I need red mal de ojo bracelets (what are ojo bracelets, you ask? They are for protection! Look it up!) for myself, friends, or even for my baby nephew Cantu's has got them. Yup! She carries baby bracelets too to give to a newborn baby or any one who has small wrists to be honest. You will want to really take your time here when you arrive as there are so many things to see. Books, candles, prayer booklets, trinkets, statues, and tarot cards (also in Spanish!) can be found here. There should be no rush when you are here so take your time and gather all the things that call to you. Parking is located in the back of the small yellow building. Entrance is in the front off of S. 1st street. Be sure not to park in the convenience store next door where the sandwich shop is at. You will be towed! Be sure to say hello to Virgen de Guadalupe on the side of the building. The mural is beautiful (and old) but worth the stop to check out and maybe get a selfie with her. She really shines off of S. 1st Street!

I went into the store today to buy some candles and Mr. Cantu also told me that they did cleanses which interested, he told me he did an oil cleaning so I waited for him to be available after my purchase. We went into the back room and he explained that the oil cleaning consisted on oils and herbals sprays that have to be applied on the body and that he also used an egg and a lime. He also said that I needed to take my clothes off and only leave my underwear, which raised some concerns and made me feel really uncomfortable. I think that if he is going to be Performing this kind of ritual on a woman, there needs to be a woman practitioner in the room while this is being done And he should also offer some sort of gown or a sheet for the Client to cover themselves with. The whole thing felt very unprofessional. Has this happened to anyone else??
