Have you ever fallen into the weird dark side of YouTube and spent hours watching videos you…read morewouldn't have watched otherwise? I was watching a Buzzfeed video and stumbled upon an ear wax extraction video and the dark hole began. There's something really satisfying (albeit gross) watching ear wax being removed from people's ears. I was always interested in getting it done, but I thought it was too expensive and didn't think I needed it done. BOY WAS I WRONG. For the past week and a half, my right ear was super clogged and it was really hard to hear out of that ear. Usually, if I leave it alone, the problem resolves within a couple of days, but unfortunately it seemed like it was getting worse. I tried using ear wax softeners, but that didn't really clear up the problem either. I was tired on not hearing clearly and felt like I was annoying people by asking them to repeat things over and over, so I decided to finally bite the bullet and get my ear wax removed professionally. I sent a request for information about their services on Sunday night and received a phone call from their office on Monday morning. Super prompt service! I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day (today). Insurance doesn't cover ear wax removal, but the prices are very very reasonable. It only costs $30/ear but the results are well worth it. The doctor will take a look to see whether you have to do both ears or not. Although I was only having trouble hearing out of my right ear, I decided to get both ears done because I was already doing one ear - why not do both? The process was relatively quick - less than an hour to clean out both ears. The doctor explained the process beforehand and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. It is a little uncomfortable with the suction so close to your ear, but it's surprisingly very therapeutic in a weird way hearing the ear wax being extracted. As soon as she removed the ear wax from my right ear, I could instantly hear better and a whole new world opened up. After she removed the left ear, everything sounds 10x clearer and I'm disappointed I didn't do this earlier! Even though I wasn't having problems with my left ear, it was surprising (and really gross) to see how much old ear wax was in my ear. I'm not sure how I could even hear with all that junk in my ear. I highly recommend everyone to get your ear wax professional removed at least once if you can. I can hear things so much better now (it's actually jarring how loud things are now) and it's relatively inexpensive considering the benefits that come with it.

The whole process of becoming a new patient, the online forms, and the cheerful welcome by Brandi at the front desk made for a great first impression. Dr. Ali in the Decatur office is terrific: he very patiently, skillfully performed what can often be an irritating, anxiety-laden procedure using micro-suction and water flushes - he did a thorough job with minimal discomfort. I appreciated his questions, comments and instructions as he was both warm and kind. I will go back when this procedure is needed again and would definitely consider AHA for any other hearing-related needs. I'm a very satisfied patient - thank you!

I am a first time Mom and My infant daughter was scheduled for a MRI over a month out for a 8:30am…read morearrival time and a 9:30am procedure. We arrived 15 mins to the dot at the check in desk, due to early morning traffic. This Hospital turned us away! We figured there would be a 15 min grace period, like most medical facilities and after rescheduling and asking the representative what the grace period was, she stated it was 20 mins! The staff here are very incompetent. the nurse stated to the front desk representative, to tell us that there was not a grace period and we had to be there at 8:30 on the dot, which is not true! They did not accomodate us after our daughter had to abstain from eating from 3am that morning. We spent 15 mins at the front desk trying to understand why we could not be seen. The nurse that was speaking through the front desk representative stated that our appointment was for 8am, which is inaccurate, since we literally have the confirmation text that shows the arrival time and the procedure time. The Nurse then told the front desk representative that she can't squeeze us in because she has a 9:30, (When we are the 9:30!) she said we could wait until there is an opening, but she doesn't know when that will be. She said we could wait until 11:30 and see if there is an opening; which would mean my child would have not had a feeding since 3am and it will then be a full 8 hours! This hospital is poorly ran and they are banking on being brand new and having a podcast room where Ryan Seacrest has a show, but not caring about the actual people they are there to serve! We are parents navigating a potential diagnosis with our child and now have to wait another month and half to get the testing done to then wait for the results. We are totally disgusted and disappointed and will be taking our healthcare elsewhere and telling others to do the same.

Their waiting room is spread out and based on your care needs you maybe directed to different areas to sit. We didn't have fever or infection so we were in main waiting area. I'll update once we have completed visit if there are any more comments or concerns to be listed but so far the experience has been amazing. Of course it's 4:30 when we arrived so we didn't know what to expect at this hour so close to downtown Atlanta area. However it was the best decision versus going to a regular ER because here they're main focus is children and our son has felt at ease
