We put this place through the ringer with several custom made aids, then finally finding something she could manage and do on her own. They were patient and invested quite a bit of time to make sure she was satisfied. Joey and his family have given their all and showed great passion in ensuring her ability to adjust, which has been a task. With other health issues, she is now in a pair of aids that are really the only design she can manage, easier for her to put in and out, and rechargeable so charging is easier and she does not have to remember to change batteries, or listen for the signal. As part of te exam, the doctor changed my contact prescription which happens from time to time. No big deal. However, he also changed my brand. I agreed to try out the new prescription and the new brand. Neither worked. From April - June, I left no less than 5 messages without a return call. I finally received a call back indicating they could revert to my old prescription and contacts' brand. 3 weeks ago, I stopped by the office again. New contacts were allegedly being ordered. Again, I have followed up multiple times via text and voice mail...no response. Not only will I not be returning, but I also strongly encourage anyone to find somewhere else to go.

Michelle confirmed my BCBS insurance information, scheduled my appointment for 7/6 at 3:00 PM, asked about the reason for my visit, and emailed me new patient paperwork, where I entered my insurance information again. At no point during that call--or afterward--was I told that I would be considered a self-pay patient. I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment, checked in with Michelle, provided my insurance card and ID, and waited to be seen. At 3:00 PM, Adam brought me back, reviewed my medical history, and discussed my symptoms. In the middle of the appointment, Michelle interrupted to speak with him privately. He then returned and informed me that I would have to pay nearly $200 out of pocket because I was listed as self-pay. Confused, I explained that I have BCBS. Adam seemed surprised and said Michelle had marked me as self-pay. When we went to the front desk for clarification, Michelle spoke to Adam--not to me--and claimed she had already explained my insurance exclusion over the phone. That never happened. If I had been told I would be responsible for the full cost, I would have made other financial arrangements or scheduled elsewhere. Even while I waited in the office for 30 minutes before my appointment, no one mentioned I had been listed as self-pay. Michelle was dismissive, rude, and unwilling to take responsibility for the miscommunication. She never apologized and instead had an attitude throughout the interaction. Adam, on the other hand, sincerely apologized for the situation. I understand that insurance policies and exclusions exist. My frustration is not with my insurance--it's with the complete lack of communication and professionalism. I left in tears while dealing with an ongoing medical issue because the office failed to communicate important information before my appointment. My time was wasted, my appointment never happened, and I was treated with a lack of compassion when I needed help the most.
