These people seem good until the hearing aid sale is made. Very poor care afterwards.

We waited almost an hour after our appointment time, but it all made sense when we got to see the doctor. Dr. B patiently sat with my grandmother for around 2 and a half hours. She asked her a ton of questions about her hearing issues, current hearing aids, and general activity. She is also the only doctor that has ever spoken loudly and clearly enough for my grandmother to understand. She tested my grandmother's hearing in a soundproof booth, and explained in great detail what her issues are and what could be done about them. I should mention that my grandmother is also legally blind (which throws off a lot of medical professionals), but Dr. B taught her how to use her hearing aids by feel, which was amazing! My grandmother got new hearing aids, as well as a tester pair to use for a week while they were being built. We had some personal issues in the interim, so it took a while for us to pick up the new hearing aids, but Dr. B's office was super kind and flexible! We also got to try them for a few weeks at home before we had to pay for them, which we were able to do over the phone. Fair warning that the office is in the basement of an apartment building which is NOT handicap accessible. There is a ramp to get into the building, but there are two or three small steps to get to the office. The office itself is also small, but my grandmother's wheelchair just barely fit in. My grandmother's hearing is much better, and we are very happy with Forest Hills Audiology!

Dr. Boruhkov provided thorough testing and explained everything in a way I could understand. She was incredibly kind and attentive, listening carefully to my concerns and making me feel comfortable throughout the entire visit. Dr. Boruhkov took the care & time to teach me about my new hearing aides and answered my questions and concerns without judgement. Dr. Roxanne Borukhov and Dr. Kathleen Kalschmid both possess professionalism, knowledge and humor; traits that create an excellent hearing healthcare environment. I was set up with my new hearing Oticon devices. I'm still getting used to them but during my second visit, I received adjustments that made a helpful difference. The ladies at the reception desk are professional, kind and helpful as well. It isn't always that you can find these qualities in my experience. On a side note: On my way to the office, I slipped and fell . I hurt my hand and arm. Kristen at reception, fixed me up with a bandaid, Bacitracin and a cup of water. Dr. Kalschmid checked my arm and hand and talked to me until I calmed down. Dr. Boruhkov did the same. They go above and beyond to make their patients feel seen, heard and taken care of. I recommend Forest Hills Audiology!

Once inside, I'm directed to various stations to help me with my current balance issues. One of the treadmills is often the first stop. There's a great selection of video scenes in front of me as I walk. I feel like I'm on vacation. (A good attitude is therapeutic!). I also enjoy the variety of your musical selections. Your staff in the "workroom" - where we do our personally-designed PT exercises - are also to be commended for their clear instructions and friendly dispositions: Alyssa, Brooklyn, Vito, Bri, Luis, Ryan and David...I apologize for any I've omitted. After a recent session, David took time with me discussing home exercises I could do that can help with the posture of my head and neck, which can help minimize future falls. As a result of my time with you so far, I've begun paying more attention to how I'm moving and walking throughout my day. After a recent fall, I was referred to you by my ENT Dr. Saul Modlin. Now, because of your care and expertise, I'm falling again...in love with you. Thanks, tOM

Dr.Tony Philip of Philip Audiology is a GEM- a Superhero for my generation- I no longer drive so…read morethe fact that he has developed what was a familiar service from my youth- the home visit by the doctor- has met a real need and supports an important segment of my generation- he simply is the very BEST at what he does! He is very professional as well as correct in his interactions with his patients if my experience is any indication of how he treats everyone! I found him to be caring, and available within minutes of my having a small problem with one of my hearing aids- I simply texted him and he was right back to me with easy to follow instructions that remedied my problem completely! It is a pleasure to know that when Dr. Tony gives you a number to reach him - it is unlike many customer service numbers - he responds personally and it is - nearly immediate! I have to also say that I actually looked forward to seeing him after the initial visit for the follow up visits- he is a very mature and personable young family man- he has an immediate rapport with his patients! In fact I am sure that his ability to connect with the concerns of his patients is an excellent ability -( many of whom as myself tend to be grouchy and having long suffered from the isolation of hearing loss) - in fact because he is so available and has the ability to put his patient at ease - is a plus in the success of getting this critically important service. I feel as if I am a changed man with the hearing aids and it is precisely because of Dr.Tony's excellent manner and complete implementation that I was able to overcome my long standing reluctance to get these necessary and transformative hearing aids! I recommend Dr.Tony Philip and his services enthusiastically and know that you will be very happy you choose him and his home services! In fact let me congratulate you before the fact that you will benefit from choosing him! You will be singing his praises to our fellow Seasoned Citizens! All my most sincere wishes - Nat Cipollina

He immediately trusted Dr. Mixtner, who was incredibly calm, gentle, and patient. My son let him examine his ears, nose, and throat with zero resistance or tears. It was amazing! The entire staff was just as wonderful. Ajana, Dr. Mixtner's medical assistant, was so kind and welcoming, and Jessica, the audiologist, went above and beyond to make my son feel comfortable -- even got him to smile! You can tell they truly care about their patients and make the extra effort to create a positive, stress-free environment. I honestly can't recommend Dr. Mixtner and his practice enough. They had availabilities within the week which was great. Once you get there there's ample parking. Their office is on the second floor, very clean and pandemic friendly. They have you fill out pre-registration paperwork via iPad. Everything is touch screen. Took about ten minutes. I saw Dr. Mitzner, He is very straight forward. Doesn't waste anytime. Wants to know what the problem is and tries to figure out how to fix it. (Sometimes you would like a doctor to sit and try to get to know the patient and their history in order to figure out their backstory and how to help them going forward.) All in all, he seem pretty good and knowledgeable about his practice.
