But over the years I've donated thousands of dollars worth of stuff here. So i came in today with some small items which they generally accept. They took it all except they wouldn't take a couple nice mirrors i brought them because "they might break". I was then given the oh so generous offer of donating a few dollars and they'd throw them away for me. I left there with a really bad taste in my mouth. Again. After years of donating here the fact of the matter is that they are ungrateful. Not what I am after when donating to a charity.

Given the very limited shopping options in Central City, this is an amazing little shop. Prices are extremely affordable for gifts or small household items. They had a full array of cat-centric tees (unfortunately not our size or we would have snatched up several). General clothing items were priced $2 (amazingly organized by size AND color) and in very good condition/quality. I saw an Express 100% silk collared shirt (alas not our size - sigh), what an amazing bargain at $2! If you are in the area and forgot to bring a piece of clothing come check this store out. The volunteers were extremely friendly and courteous, which is a hit or miss in this town from our experience. It seems like not all businesses are happy to see tourists, but this little shop is surely to leave you with a good impression and equally amazing finds!

Donations are able to be dropped off on Wednesdays. There are a lot of high quality name brand items. This is a great way to recycle. Reduce waste and support food security, in Golden. Today I scored two like new brooks brothers wool sweaters for $40 and a stack of paper plates for a dollar! I highly recommend shopping, supporting, donating & volunteering at the CAG. It's also a great place to pick up odds and ends for the kitchen.

Major perk of this spot is the root beer bar! Various coolers filled with over 25 different brands/flavors of root beer are offered - along with a little cafe - think hot dogs, chips, and ice cream - which pairs perfectly with root beer! We opted for ice cream to accompany, creating the perfect root beer float! A wonderful way to spend the afternoon, if you ask me!

The staff was very nice and you could tell they enjoy their antiques. Love the massive cat painting. Would like to see more large signs. There's also a cool Root Beer bar as well, I'll have to check it out next time! They have a half dozen coolers of many types; you select one and they give you ice cream for a float! Cool idea!
