The other mediocre reviews are on point. This place has potential but it needs an overhaul. Overpriced items, weird mix of styles. Mostly clothes and household items. This place used to have good deals, but the past few years the furniture is so expensive, I'd rather buy it new. Same goes for everything else in the store. I've literally looked at kitchen wares, then searched for the same item on Amazon and have found it cheaper. Echo Resale Shop - Thrift Stores Near Me - Evergreen, Colorado

Echo is a really nice thrift store with quality inventory. It is definitely a step up from Goodwill. Everything is clean and well organized-they do an excellent job displaying their goods, especially the women's wardrobe ensembles complete with jewelry. I have purchased and donated items here. I'm disappointed. I wanted to buy something and support this local thrift shop, but I ended up leaving empty handed. Everything was ridiculously expensive, especially considering that these exorbitant prices are for *donated* items. We're talking 5+ year old Old Navy dresses for more than they cost new; $100+ for cheap beat-up posters in scuffed frames. If it were a boutique? Ok. An antique shop? Sure, do what you want. If I had to guess, the pricing is out of control because employees are finding similar items online and using that as a guide... without bearing in mind that those sellers have the entire internet as their audience. They have a great selection; big store and well organized. However, prices are steep for a resale shop. I was looking for a second hand cabinet and the prices are all over $100 and more expensive than something brand new at IKEA. Very disappointing. Much cheaper on Craigslist or OfferUp, or just buy something brand new at target, Walmart or IKEA. The thrift shop down the road EPRL I think is what it's called has much fairer prices and they actually donate their income to support the animal hospital near by. Echo can't rational their prices with a generosity statement like that. read more

Really disappointing. We tried to donate a couch in pretty decent condition. I was clear in my email that it would need wiped down. I emailed, sent a picture, and my husband and I hauled it there. When we got there five people came out to see if it was "good enough" for them. They decided it was too dirty and too heavy (it's from IKEA...clearly not heavy since my 125 pound self carried it). Apparently they aren't in the business of helping people. They could have easily sold it for $100. read more

My super favorite shop! How I wish there is something like this in Orlando. I'm very excited and I do shop here multiple times during my visit in Evergreen. Staff is just awesome. Very good deal on Shoes and clothes, and they always have discounts. The items here are being donated from generous people living in a nice community. And staff are volunteers. Their Profit goes to Outreach Communities. You can find high end items barely used and well taken care of for few dollars and sometimes brand new with tags. This Past few weeks I really hold off on shopping online because I knew I would be visiting Evergreen. High Respect to the community that keeps this store. read more

They're clean, organized. They have a bit of everything. However the prices make me cringe. I bought nothing. I rather help local stores but I have my limits. I saw a couple things you can get new from Walmart or $Tree cheaper. Disappointed. Won't be back. Not everyone in evergreen has a money tree growing in their back yard. read more

Five star for convenience and customer service, but three on pricing and selection in non clothing sections. I did score a slightly dinged pressboard 3-shelf bookshelf for $10, on a 60 percent off day. But, the companion piece, a five shelf version was far more battered and priced much higher. Glass storage jars were at retail price. Actually, a penny more. I'm still ok with that because less waste is a value for me. But for others? The shop is clean, organized, and big. Not former grocery store big, but big for a mountain town. The entrance isn't always that clear. I saw an open door along the side. There's a register there. Next day, that door was locked, and a door several feet away was open. Leaving, I had to pay in the clothing zone. Well, well. The front door. Look behind where the helpful folks are loading cars and you will find it. read more

I REALLY want to like this place. I really, really do. Here are the pros: -INCREDIBLY organized. This is the most well-organized thrift store I've ever been to. It makes you feel like you're shopping in a boutique as opposed to a second hand store. -Some pretty great furniture -Overall, very little junk -The place is huge Cons: -The prices are really, really high. They do have sale days, which makes it easier to afford things here, but things are still very much on the high side. -I've never been rung up here correctly. They always botch it somehow, don't give the discount of the day, etc. You really have to pay attention during this part of the process -Generally "eh" selection of goods. Things are nicer, sure, but it's all grandma chic, and not in a great way. I've only ever left with one thing I felt incredibly solid about from this place, and that's only because it was a tarnished metal vase, and I got a great deal because it wasn't clean. Otherwise, I don't even really bother going here. Even if I do find something I like, 9 times out of 10, it will be ridiculously overpriced. Like, find it cheaper on eBay, expensive. I only come here when I'm bored or really on a thrifting jag. read more

One of the very best resale shops around! The prices are a bit higher than other thrift stores of this type, but the items in this store are consistently higher quality than other thrift stores. They must have a really great base of people who donate because everything in this store is solid and nice. I especially like their furniture department, and have made use of some great pieces over the years at a fraction of the cost of shopping new. Some of the items are unique, some are antique and some are high-end that would have normally been way out of my price range. By the way, if you live in the mountain area, there is an interior decorating company that specializes in decorating their clients homes with items purchased at ECHO furniture. They have their ads up in the store and if you have high end taste but a limited budget, the combination of ECHO thrift store and Decorating Divas could be your answer to the lifestyle you want but cannot afford. They also have clothing for men, women and children, all neatly arranged by size, and they include a petite rack and a plus-size rack that make it so nice for women who are looking for hard to find sizes. It makes the shopping experience so much better than those stores that cram everything together on the same rack so that you have to embark on an exhausting 2 hour hunt to find a single garment in your size. I purchased my very FAVORITE article of clothing at ECHO, and when people say, "Where did you get that cute top?", they are always surprised when I tell them it was a thrift store find! Their jewelry case is well stocked with interesting and nice quality costume jewelry and watches - my own jewelry box has several nice pieces that I bought here. ECHO has a designer section with high-end clothing labels, and a formal department with some beautiful evening gowns and wedding dresses that have obviously been worn only once. If you don't normally have a use for super formal clothing but have an "event" coming up, you might just find the PERFECT ensemble here without investing hundreds of dollars for an outfit that you expect to wear only once. My daughter purchased her prom dress here and she was beautiful. After the prom, we re-donated the dress. I have seen some gorgeous things hanging in that area and if I ever had a need to go to some posh affair, I would look here first. And for brides on a tight budget, you might find your dream dress here as long as you don't mind wearing a gown that has seen someone else down the aisle. You will find seasonal and holiday decor, shoes, kitchen items, bed and bath linens, baby items, toys, books, music and various treasures that people who love to shop thrift stores get a kick out of finding. In the past several years, they have expanded at least 3 times and so this once-small boutique has now grown into a sizable, well managed store that sells good quality, gently used items at affordable prices. No trash here! This is also an excellent place to donate good quality items that you no longer want or need. They receive gifts graciously and with a smile - so many thrift stores act like you are a nuisance when you bring a carload of cast-off items, but the people at ECHO are upbeat and gladly accept gifts that are in good shape and sellable. Of course, if you items aren't sellable, you might want to consider discarding them in the trash rather than burdening ECHO with unusable debris. However, when they get the occasional item that isn't up to their standards, they pass it on to other organizations who can make use of things that ECHO doesn't want. They do have specific hours when they can accept donations, so call ahead to make sure their donation door is open. And if you want to make a donation to the ECHO food bank, you can drop off your non-perishables here. And since the proceeds support Evergreen Christian Outreach, you can be sure that the money you spend here will go to a good cause to help folks in need. Such a cute store! They put caring thought into their displays, decorate for the seasons, keep a very neat shop and offer some great finds! On Yelp, I'm a fan, but on my personal thrift-o-meter they are near the top for their friendliness and cleanliness. Evergreen donators give away some epically 80s ski suits, barely used kitchen appliances, great books, records, furniture, shoes and more. Mostly, it's all pretty darn good quality. I think this is a great store for someone normally grossed out by larger, less-organized thrift-store experiences. On a recent trip pre-Christmas they even had some crafty DIY stuff around. I think that since the Blue Spruce thrift store shifted their focus to being a Restore with hardware and such, Echo has been getting more great donations of traditional thrift store goods. You barely have to go down the hill for some good thrifting any more! read more

Great for clothes, kids toys, books, and miscellanous stuff like wrapping paper, stationary, etc. They have recently expanded to 2 buildings with a whole building for home furnishings. Great store! More like a boutique than a thrift store. Good prices, and they have nice clothing and purses. They even have great furniture. It also has another upside. The proceeds help the community. I like that and feel good about where my dollars are going. The women are nice too and they do a good job of displaying the items and keeping inventory fresh and stocked. The sales are to die for. 20.00 goes a long way in this store.
