This shop has really gone down in quality, and the owner, who has never been nice has also really gone even further down in attitude. The shop used to refuse certain cheaper labels, now that's all I find. The woman is an absolute evil person, despite relying on customers buying, and bringing in their items for consignment. FANTASTIC. I can't say enough good about this shop. I went in to buy a suit. I'm not very good at shopping for clothes and the woman working there (not the owner) picked numerous pieces for me to try. It was like having a personal shopper to work with. They had a ton of choices in my size (8) and when we were finished I had pieces to work together for 3 different outfits. It would have taken me all day by myself to do what this wonderful woman helped me with. We were finished in about an hour. I'm very happy about my purchases, too. Brand names, high quality pieces (they looked like new), and I was very happy with the prices. read more

I love shopping at consignment stores. I'm from Texas and just happen to find this little shop. We found purses, blouses, and dresses at good prices. The owner was very nice and happy to answer our questions. I even forgot my sunglasses there and she mailed them to me. Will be returning next time I'm in Colorado. read more

I don't know what it is about this store but every time I walk in, there seems to be some fabulous designer item screaming my name at a price that is so ridiculous I would have to be insane to pass it up. Not to mention the incredibly helpful and knowledgeable ladies who work there and consistently steer me toward styles that they know I will love. This place specializes in ultra high-end luxury goods in impeccable condition. These are once-in-a-lifetime finds at once-in-a-lifetime prices! I have purchased and consigned items at Aspen's for years. Aspen's is by far the best consignment shop in the mountain community and Denver metro region. There is a consistent excellent inventory of designer and unique items. Clothing is displayed in a manner consistent with a retail store, unlike some consignment stores that display clothing similar to a thrift store. Owners provide personal attention and assist customers in finding the perfect outfit for any occasion. I preferentially shop Aspen's over retail stores and other consignment shops. read more

Aspens fell from perhaps a 2 star to a 1, quite rapidly today. I live in Evergreen and have enjoyed finding odds and ends at good prices in Aspens. ( I have a great pair of cords for $18 from Banana Republic.) But finding the "finds" requires sorting through some shabby items. Aspens has a big for their britches attitude, however, that doesn't help business. I've taken items in that have been rejected due to not being a higher level brand (Nautica, Ann Taylor, Gap all rejected with a bit of a speech about their brand standards, and taken over to goodwill). However, Aspens does sell those brands today, having changed their business model perhaps. Today, they seem to sell just about anything. While there are some fantastic finds, plan to see a $300 price tag on a banged up, dingy Burberry bag because it's a Burberry, and plan to get a lecture of the meaning and relevance of Burberry when you aren't interested in purchasing upon closer look. (I wasn't catty enough to say it, but truth be told, if I had to have a Burberry, it would be a clean and brand new.) As with the other review, cattiness abounds. Bartering has always been a practice in Aspens. A local woman shared that before I first went in, and when there is a snag, or spot, Aspens has adjusted prices. I just left the store, after asking for 2 items, 1 slightly snagged and certainly not new looking, at a slight reduction. "We NEVER do that," I was haughtily told. "Yes, we NEVER would, NEVER have lowered out prices," the other chimed in. Sheesh. I said no thank you to the sweaters, and ventured to suggest that, yes, they had. Many times. As a matter of course, which was the only way I'd buy their obviously used clothing. A third item was snatched away from me, a pair of cords I was fine buying at their price, because it was a consignment store price ($16). "You don't really want this, do you." And my credit card was thrown at me. Lovely. Professional. I felt free to mention having found mucus-like, dried up substances on the front of a few of their snaggy, pilled sweaters, to which I was told that the only old things that had come their way in the store were the things I had brought in, in the past. At that, I simply left. Never, ever, ever to return. But in my defense to their rude comment...they hadn't taken my clothing because their deulusions of grandeur a year ago prevented them for "allowing" the likes of ann taylor and nautica. While now, you will have no problem finding a pleather, spotted Gap jacket from the 90s. You will also see lovely, high quality clothing from friends of mine, who love selling their items as Aspens. Just watch the claws. read more

I've been a loyal consigner and shopper at Aspens for years now. The staff have always been extremely helpful (they now know my style and can direct me to what they know I'll like) and friendly. I love that they take the time to listen (and remember) what their customers are looking for. Sometimes the prices are a little high (though still great for the brands offered), but it's absolutely worth it to get the personalized service. I also make a point of recommending Aspens to my friends and family who come to town as well since their selection is always changing. read more

While I have purchased items here, I find that they are a bit over-priced and clothes are a bit more worn out than other consignment stores. I've also found items on the racks that were not washed and smelled like perfume. If something is brand name, no matter how worn out (like Coach or Old Gringo), they will price it high. Their earrings and jewelry are uninspiring and a bit cheap-plastic/glass trendy which is surprising to me since they have lots of designer items from the weathy people of Evergreen. I have not consigned items here so I can't review on that. read more

I started shopping here off & on. It is now more on than off. When I need any additions to my wardrobe or need a speciall outfit I come here. The owners are friendly, helpful and there is no hard selling. Consigment shopping is the way to go. This place is great! I went to sell some items last summer and the owners in the store were really nice. I also bought some items there. I got a pair of new Clark's shoes, a great belt and a really neat hoodie. This store has something for everyone and they have a variety of sizes and styles! I finally made it into Aspens, prodded by my twenty-something niece who was raving about how great the store is. She was right. I got amazing premium items and all were in perfect condition. Tory Burch sandals, Lafayette blazer, Aletha pants, Brighten belts. Now I am going to try consigning at the store. I will definitely shop there often. read more

I really like this place. I have consigned at many stores over the years, and this rates among the best. Fast and efficient intake of clothes, prompt payment, friendly owners. They specialize in clothes relevant for a mountain environment- I usually can find hiking clothes, and ski pants there, in addition to nicer clothes for work. read more

Aspen's is a "better" consignmetnt store than most thrift stores. The store is well organized, clothing is displayed very well even better than some full retail stores. The dressing rooms are spacious, with a large mirror and plenty of hooks to try on lots of clothes! I was in this week and purchased 2 shirts, 2 skirts, and a pair of DKNY jeans. I will shop there again and consign my things there also! Don't take the kids, go with a frugal girlfriend. read more

I went in to consign some items and the lady who was there was incredibly rude. She was not interested in many of the items I had brought it (mostly shoes and purses) which is fine, I think they are for a younger crowd than probably shops in that store anyway; but the disgusted look pasted on her face as she was looking at the items was upsetting. Most of the shoes had never even been worn, or maybe worn once and she was like "I wouldn't take any of this stuff" in her snobbish Evergreen way. Whatever. I know now not to waste my time, and I will never go back. read more
