I live in California but needed the locks changed on my house in Cincinnati, all complicated by having to evict a squatter from the house and coordinate with friends and family in Cincinnati to be sure that all of this juggling involving a bailiff AND the need to get the locks changed resulted in getting the house secure until I can get back there in a couple of months. They were able to schedule the visit with very little notice...I had to switch from another locksmith that was not communicating ....and it all worked out in the end. Was charged $215 for 10 minutes work to install a door lock I had purchased. Ridiculous pricing. Response from the owner is to blame the customer...great customer relations that will not serve this business well in the future. Here's a novel idea, why don't you tell the customer upfront what the charge would be instead of surprising them. Called these people on a Friday afternoon after reading some reviews. First of all, they answered the phone almost unheard of these days FROM ANYONE), were knowledgeable on my options, and we set up an appointment for the following Monday between 9am-Noon. Come Monday, I get a call at 9:15 telling me they are on their way. 2 hours later I've got 2 new door locks and the place is cleaner than they found it. Basically I'm 100% satisfied. The gentleman that helped me was professional and courteous. They were prompt, and did exactly what they said they would do. A rarity these days. Highly recommend. read more

Please do not deal with Eagle's Locksmith. Honestly, I have never experienced anything like this before in my life. They are liars and crooks. I called them because I needed a Schlage deadbolt keyed to the rest of my house locks, which are all Schlage brand deadbolts. They advertise on their website Schlage locks and I spoke to Gal over the phone and he said "if the deadbolt is a Schlage we can sell you a Schlage deadbolt and key it like the rest of your house." I don't know if Gal is the owner, but that is him on the website standing next to his van, and he is the one who showed up to my house at 5:30 PM like we agreed. I showed him the garage door where I needed a new Schlage deadbolt and asked him to key it like the rest of my house. He said no problem and gave me a price of $269.50. Which I thought was expensive, but I was willing to pay because it was Schlage deadbolt and the key would fit the rest of the house. I step away to be with my family for a few minutes, he finishes up and asks me to inspect. I come back to find he installs an LSDA deadbolt, which I had never heard of. I ask him "what is LSDA, I asked for a Schlage?" He said "LSDA is the same company as Schlage." I said, "I don't know that I believe that. Then why doesn't it say Schlage?" He told me "if it wasn't a Schlage brand lock I wouldn't have been able to key it like the rest of your house." I didn't believe that either and it was getting late, so I thought to myself I will just have to do some research on this and figure it out later. I came to find that Gal lied to me and sold me a $15 lock for $269.50. LSDA is not the same company as Schlage. And, you can key other locks to Schlage keys. I called Gal and told him what I found out and he said I can return the lock to his store and he would refund me for the service but that I would have to pay for the deadbolt. I told him that I was not willing to pay for a deadbolt that I didn't ask for and that I would be calling my credit card company to dispute the charges. When my credit card company contacted him he even lied to my credit card company and told them that I asked for an LSDA lock to be keyed to a Schlage key. I had never heard of LSDA until he installed it instead of the Schlage I asked for. Do yourselves a favor and go to Larry's Locks & Safes. They sold me a Schlage lock for $70 and keyed it for my free of charge. I installed it myself. read more

To start off, I have to admit that I'm extremely irresponsible. I often leave my house keys at home, and I have one of those doors that locks itself. I lock my keys in the car when it's running and worse-- Obviously, I need a reliable locksmith to save me during times like these. I moved back to Cincinnati after graduate school and immediately moved into a new house that I locked myself out of (and I needed my car keys that were inside). I was in a rush to get to work, so I only had a half an hour to get my keys and go. Eagle's Lock got to me in fifteen minutes, got me in my house (they also cut me a key on the spot). The technician was fast and kind, and made sure that I was safe. I would call Eagle's Locksmith again in a heart beat. read more

I had a lock on a door that was not unlocking even with the key which made it impossible for me to replace the lock myself. They responded within the hour of me requesting a quote and were will to come immediately, but I was not in that much of a hurry. They showed up on time for the work the next day and provided me with a reasonable estimate to not only open and replace the lock on the door, but to also shim the door to make the new lock work easier. We also ended up having them replace another tricky lock on a different door. They were able to get all of the work done in about an hour. read more

Called this morning and they were able to do the work needed the same day. The work was done quickly and professionally. Offered several options to meet my needs before doing the work. Two doors, one needed a key made that was lost and the other needed a lock replacement. Gave me one set of keys that work in both doors, how convenient?! Cost seemed high so that's why only 4 stars instead of 5. I will acknowledge, however, that I don't know the market rate for this kind of work. It was a little over $400. read more

$75 for the service call, quoted $250 to fix a lock (with no guarantee that it would work) or $750 to replace the mechanisms in the door. So we just paid $75 for someone to come for 5 minutes and leave without fixing the problem. I feel sad about it. read more

Once again, Igal was great! I called him this morning about an issue with our front lock and he worked around my schedule, coming over at 7:30pm even though it was after their listed hours because he was booked the next two days and didn't want us to wait. Our lock had been damaged by the door frame (totally out of anyone's control) and Igal replaced the lock for free since it was the same one he previously worked on. Excellent service! Replaced/ rekeyed several locks on my new house and got multiple types of locks all on one key.

$65 is what they charged my wife to unlock the car door, apparently, a 90 second service. Assuming they drove from their location to Jungle Jim's, which is about 25 minutes, that's about $130.00 per hour. Unfortunately, the police local to the area do not unlock cars. Thought it was a bit pricey. read more

I was locked out of my car and called a few locksmiths. Eagle's was not only the cheapest, but one of the few to give me an exact quote. Some locksmiths were like, "$$ to head out there, and $$+ to open the car." I gave them the exact make and model of the car and they still wouldn't say exactly how much it would cost. My garage key had broke and I had called to see if they would fix it. They were not able to fix the key or pick the garage lock. They ended up cutting a lock off the back door, left the lock laying in my yard charged me 140 just to cut off a lock and attempt to pick a lock. The guy jumped my fence instead of walking to the gate. When I had first called they could not quote me a price. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. I feel I could have received better service and not have been raped in charges to cut a lock. read more
