Our 30 yr old garage door had been doing a strange "bounce" while opening and closing. I had lubricated all the rollers, hinges and springs and it didn't help. Called AE Doors and they were here in just 2 days. (A neighbor had garage door problems and whoever he called, took 3 weeks to get there.) Service rep showed up on the arranged time, inspected the whole door, saw the problem (crack starting in one of the panels) explained the solution, adding a support bar. Installed in a matter of minutes, tested it multiple times, no problems. Inspected the rails and hinges again, lubed everything. Door now opens like new, nice and smooth and quiet. He didn't try to up sell any thing else. Did the job and we feel confident it is done right! Highly recommend these folks! read more

about a month or more ago i called A E DOOR i explained in detail i needed the exterior and interior pads replaced on my garage door opener...everything else was fine, no issues except the pads for opening and closing the garage door...i spoke to a guy named TRAVIS, he set up a tech who came to my house and began unloading replacement equipment for rails, motors, chains, etc., all the stuff i DIDN"T need...once i explained what i needed he told me the "office didn't tell me that" then he turned his attention to what i needed fixed...after a couple of questions he asked if i had changed the battery in the exterior pad to which i confirmed i had but it was several months ago...he then took it apart, i had a battery nearby which he inserted into the mechanism and we tried it, prior to that it was working, just a pain because you had to insert your code multiple times far too often...afterr he inserted the new battery there was nothing lighting up so i took it apart and found out he had bent one of the connections rendering it useless and broken...so now i have an exterior opener that won't work at all...the tech says he'll contact the office to see if they could replace it, that someone would notify me when they knew more...then TRAVIS tells me they don't handle that brand and i'll have to look online to see if i can find one...thats not my job, its their responsibility to replace what they broke, if they don't handle that brand its on them to replace it...so i call TRAVIS again and leave a message, i was ghosted, TRAVIS doesn't respond... so there is no response from anyone at A E DOOR, they broke my opener and now they do nothing...so i'd like everyone to know what A E DOOR can do for you, basically break your equipment then do zero about it...i caution everyone fro doing business with these people unless you want to be treated like that...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! read more

We purchased a garage door from AE Door for $2,500. The experience started off well--the salesperson was friendly and knowledgeable, and the installer arrived on time and was polite. After the installation, he reconnected our existing garage door opener and made adjustments to close properly. During this process, he mistakenly adjusted the stop point too far. When he tested it, the opener began smoking and was ultimately damaged beyond use. A second technician came out and told us the opener needed a replacement part that is no longer available, meaning we would need to purchase a new unit. He mentioned that his manager would likely offer us a good deal and said his manager would reach out. After several days without any communication, we followed up with the salesperson. When we still didn't hear back from either individual, we contacted the main office. The salesperson reached out and quoted us a replacement opener at their normal price (no discount). He suggested that it was merely a coincidence that the garage door opener broke while their installer was working on it, despite the installer saying it was his bad. After some back-and-forth, the "good deal" offered to us was a 3% discount on an $800 garage door opener. We felt AE Door was ghosting us for a week, and we never got a call from the installer's manager. There was a reversal on whether they were at fault. The expected "good deal" never materialized. Our total cost ended up being $3,275 instead of the original $2,500 we had planned for. We are happy with the installed garage door, but had mixed feelings on the experience. read more

We received great service from A&E. Next day service for a non-emergency repair on our 23 yr-old two-car overhead door. Ron really knows his business, and went beyond my expectations. Just fixing the reported problem would have been great, but he also made several other adjustments that make the door open and close so much more smoothly and quietly. Ron also replaced a pair of hinges that cause the door to seal more solidly against the sides and top of the door opening, so there is less rattling and less cold air infiltration. Wow, did I call the right company. Our 16' garage door came crashing down after a few rollers broke off. It was a mess - broken spring, hinges, etc. I called Friday morning and Stephanie asked me to email her a picture. She emailed back that I didn't need a new door and they could fix it. Great news! Technicians Jeff and Austin arrived and quickly put the door back on its tracks and explained the options. Although it was a pretty old door, I could save a lot of money by having them fix it rather replace it. Apparently, one of the springs had been broken for years and I didn't realize it. The door now works "like butter" and I couldn't be happier with the service or cost. $110 for the call, $102 labor and $170 in parts. Two guys were here for an hour and a half and the damage was $382.80. Very reasonable in my book. I highly recommend these guys. Very professional and ethical. A E Door & Window Charged me $126 to drive to my home, and then $48 to replace the bolt. When I wanted to pay by debit card, I was informed there would be a 3% convenience fee for that. Horrible install on a new construction build. The tracks on both garage door openers were installed with lag screws IN BETWEEN 2 boards instead of directly the header boad and failed just over a year in the house. We immediately called AE and explained the poor workmanship and was told the work was out of warranty and would cost $115 for a service call and wouldn't be able to come out for 2 days - the door was stuck closed and I couldn't get my car out to go to work! When I reiterated that is why I'm calling, was told oh no , that's not them I must have dialed the wrong number. I had them service my garage doors today. The person (named Ron) arrived on time, was friendly and did a good job. HOWEVER - the service person did not wear a facemask even though it's the height of the Covid epidemic. When I asked where his mask was, he said "I don't wear a mask, I just keep my distance". My family has been big fans of AE Door for as long as I can remember. Growing up, some of the original fixtures on my childhood home were installed by these folks. Recently, my parents have done some remodeling, with their latest project involving getting a new front, back, and patio door, all from AE. Courteous and punctual, every business should be like this! The new front door is a beautiful mahogany with brass handles and a charming glass window. The rear is also mahogany, with thick trim around a full glass pane. We also had a matching window-door installed, which gently opens up to let the breeze in from the deck. The patio door is vast, double-pane glass with a dual doorway. It replaced the old sliding glass door and fits like a glove in the space. My parents are now looking to install a new basement door and are headed back to AE Door. The door is built into the cement wall of the room, instead of the standard wood frame, but we know AE will be up for the challenge. AE Doors has been great! I've used them on two houses now and couldn't be more happy with their quick response and excellent customer service. At my old house, they repaired the top section of my door after I tried to open it when it was locked. Aluminum doors bend pretty easily when you do that FYI. They replaced the top panel in 24 hours of me calling, without any extra charges for fast service. They also worked on the doors twice now at my new house. First was to fix the weather stripping gaps and help keep the mice out of the garage. Most recently we decided to upgrade our openers that were a little flaky to the newest models. The quoting process was simple and over email. And within 3 days I was able to have them come out and do both doors (2 car and 1 car). The guy was on time and finished the work in less than 3 hours. The installer did an EXCELLENT job explaining the door's features, including the Internet controlled MyQ system, timers, alarms etc. I would strongly recommend AE Doors for both their service and products when it comes to garage doors! read more

Something to consider BEFORE choosing A&E door. They will sell and do installations on Saturdays but will NOT do warranty work on weekends. We had a panel of one garage door replaced, the opener replaced, and the springs replaced. Everything seems to work great. That's the positive portion (which is important). However, I was told they would call or text the day before with the three hour window that I needed to wait around for the repairs/installation. In the early afternoon they called and said it would be between 8-10am. That sounded fine to me. At 6:30 that evening I received a text that told me they'd be at my house the next day between 1-4pm. Huh? The same text said I could call before 5:30pm that day (at 6:30pm!) or before 7:30 the next morning. I called at 7:15am the next morning to figure out when they would really be at my house. No one answered the phone! Someone called me back about 7:45 and explained that it was really true- one person would be there between 8-10 and the other person would be there sometime between 1-4 to finish the job. This is ridiculous! The schedulers need to figure it out so that the customer only has to spend one three-hour window waiting around. read more

AE Door was able to come to my house to give me an estimate within an hour of my initial phone call to them. The price was less than I thought it would be, and the replacement was scheduled in a timely fashion. I was then contacted the next day and told it'll now be 3 weeks and that I have to look at 2 scratches in my garage door until then. They then offered to touch it up (which don't you think they would have done originally if they thought it would look acceptable until we got our other one). I then spoke to Greg who was very unprofessional and clearly has a lot to work on with his customer service skills and began talking over myself and making smart comments. The worse experience with a company I've ever had. Our garage door opened, but then wouldn't close. The technician said he needed a part, but couldn't tell us how long it would take for it to come in. He said we'd be fine using the garage door manually until the part came in. Well the door got stuck, not once but twice during the week, and stuck so it wouldn't open, but wouldn't close all the way. Our cars were trapped, and we found out the hard way that AE Doors doesn't have an emergency after-hours number. We've since had to have their techs out twice more because they keep claiming they've fixed the door to work manually, but then it gets stuck again. Now we've final gotten the call that the part was in, but the person only called our home phone so we didn't get the message until after they closed, and when I called the next day, they said they couldn't get us on the books until the following week. After all the frustration, I literally started crying on the phone to the women, who said curtly that there was nothing she could do. Let's hope our cars aren't stuck again over the weekend. They came out and installed the quietest door opener I have ever heard. They also took the time to help us connect our Homelink openers in each of our vehicles. I hired AE Door to install a garage door in my parents' home. It is an older house and the job involved replacing an old sliding door. Of course, no jobs are easy, but this one was even more complex due to the low ceiling. Chuck and Cody (I hope I have these names right) were absolutely terrific. The door is perfect! They had to reframe the entrance and deal with a difficult low ceiling. They were very kind and cleaned up everything! They also made sure that I knew how to change the pass code before they left.
