I can't express enough how grateful I am to have such a professional and courteous maintenance crew…read moreto interact with at The Elliot of Mukilteo Apts. THEY ARE EFFICIENT AND SUPER FAST PROBLEM SOLVERS, SPECIFICALLY KEVIN! Most things run rather smoothly in the apartment and on the grounds but when I or another tenant has a need they get it solved right away. I had put in an online maintenance request to fix a dryer and Kevin replaced it within the same time frame! While he was working, like most all us tenants do we ask about something else needing fixing and he readily replaced a bent wire fixing my stopper on my bathroom sink so it could drain properly. That's a 2 for 1 lol. Kevin is probably one of the main reasons I wish to remain living at The Elliot because I've known him to be great in identifying, diagnosing, repairing and resolving all problems while ensuring that they are in good working condition and stay fixed! Kevin has also helped me personally in that when he's working and sees me driving or walking by he makes a point to say hi, offer short, friendly conversation and if I'm stressing he reminds me to take care of myself and not sweat the small stuff. Needless to say when I see him, I'm reminded to relax and smile and that makes living at The Elliot more than an apartment but a home. Thanks, Kevin and the rest of the crew Levye and Brad, you guys ROCK!!

This is a mixed review. I like living here, the maintenance team is *absolutely fantastic*, and…read moreit's a nice place - but it's expensive, and the rent hikes are brutal (like just under the legal limit). They also won't ease up on them - even after multiple calls, discussions of market prices, and a genuine plea for fairness. The only option is to wait until there's no time to decide whether you want to move before you get another lease offer. Ultimately - that's the real test. If you can't afford a 10% increase after the first or second year, it might not be worth it. And they have a persistent issue with mice! Over a year of finding mouse droppings in my oven drawer and counter tops - the maintenance team has gone above and beyond to try and fix it, but it's clearly a facility-wide issue. Again, shotout to Gary and his team for maintenance.

Yes, there is a pet deposit required. They have a person available who walks dogs. * Friendly and helpful staff. I rented sight-unseen from out of state, and told them that I would need immediate access to the apartment to let two travel weary cats out of their carriers as quickly as possible. They let me get everything set up for the pets and THEN we dealt with the paperwork. They also accommodated my receiving large packages during my stay. * I found a house quicker than expected and moved out after only 4 months. They were very accommodating about pro-rating my unit. * The studio was about 650sf, but it had a ton of storage: I was able to move a packed SUV and a rental trailer's worth of stuff into it and could hardly tell. Two large closets and five storage bins, plus many cabinets in the kitchen area. * Washer and drier in the apartment. * Full bathroom with shower and tub. * Convenient to downtown, and of course right next to the library. I found I was able to conduct almost all of my business, except grocery shopping, on foot. * Yes, they are a bit more expensive then other apartments I saw advertised, but only about $100-200/month more than apartments with Yelp descriptions saying "needles and broken bottles in hallways", "my car keeps getting broken into", etc. * Secure underground parking available, and they provide carts to move your stuff up and down. * Regularly maintained and very clean. * Free access to a rooftop patio/BBQ on the next building over. * Gigabit internet service available (something very hard to get anywhere else in the city). The only negatives: * There are only two elevators, which seem to run pretty slowly. * They are going to be somewhat more expensive than other locations. * Six month lease minimum.

My daughter lived in these apartments for 6 months…read more Leases are only 6 months long. We all know what happens when leases re-new. Rent is raised (rent was increased and parking was going to be an additional $50 a month). Heritage Manor does not offer an auto-pay option so a check or money order needs to be mailed for the rent. Money orders, stamps and envelopes cost money and time. Get with the times Heritage Manor and set up auto-pay. My daughter lived in apartment 20 (650 sq. ft.) for $950 a month. I did like that all the apartments were enclosed. Great security feature for single women. My daughter's apartment came with one assigned free parking spot. Renter's insurance is mandatory. Heritage Manor offers zero amenities. On-site coin operated washer and dryers are available. Units do not offer a dishwasher or microwave. Heritage Manor is very old and the units show it. Heritage Manor returned the full $500 refundable security deposit within a timely manner. Overall, there are better apartments in Everett for the same price with full amenities.

Starting with…read morethe smell of mold in my kitchen under the cabinet ( water heater unfortunately is in the kitchen) also my L shaped kitchen is so tiny I can only open the fridge 1/2 way which has been more of a nuisance than I anticipated. Also, there has been a lot of police activity coming in because of fights (broken window in one incident). Management changed 3 times in 6 months. Another big issue is not enough washers/dryers in shared laundry room. Only 2 washers and dryers to share with 22 units! You also have to pay to do your laundry. Most tenants are pleasant and I think the bad ones have moved on thankfully. A positive is the units have good storage with big closets. I believe the rent is way to high for what we get.

There's always something that happens either in our personal lives that impacts our day-to-day living and in a complex this large - the Leasing Office, Management and Maintenance Personnel recognize that. In my recent situation, the Leasing Office urgently needed some insurance information and three (3) people at my work place decided to quit - on the same day. That meant I was juggling a lot of extra email accounts and phones. In the end - the Leasing Office/Management Team worked directly with my insurance company to get what was needed - which was appreciated. Most importantly, the Team in the Leasing Office called me back, confirming that everything was resolved - which was also appreciated - as I really didn't need "one more thing" to worry about given the situation. Since moving here, everyone I've worked with at Merrill Creek - Leasing and Maintenance - have been courteous, honest, kind and professional. Life can get a little crazy sometimes; having consistency and stability when it comes to dealing with your 'home' , the place where you 'live', is important... this group has provided that for me.

However, there's only an elevator in building a and we were about to lease from building b. When I told the Leasing assistant manager, he responded to me. Oh, there is an elevator it's just not in this building.... Joy because I just like riding them up and down not to use them to get back-and-forth to my apartment. Awesome. Come on buddy do better. The whole apartment was disgusting. I can do better patchwork myself just on the fans dirt still on the kitchen counters and in the refrigerator. Disgusting The leasing manager was horrible. Thankfully, both of these people moved on to other places and there was a new manager. This new manager I actually liked however, she left by the time we move. The maintenance man Juan is amazing my son absolutely loves him and always gets a big smile whenever he's around. He really cares about this place and the people living there. Now the reason why there's one star. The week we turned in our notice to leave someone tried to break into my car. that same night someone else's car was broken into and another car was stolen. I went ahead and told the office to add that time the district manager was there she responded to me. Oh, you need to call the cops. Yes I'm aware that I just wanted to let you know what was going on. She then said oh you need to call the cops like I can't do anything for you I don't care that that happened. Not to mention all the drug addicts that are coming in and out of there. There's also a homeless person sleeping in the elevator at the time it was cold outside, so I understand why he was there, but still he was able to get into the apartments and found a nice place to sleep. There is another one that I saw when I went to take my dog out he was standing in the corner talking to himself and since I had the dog, I wasn't that worried about it. I had my hood on when I walked out the door, and I saw they took it off to make sure that I could see what he was doing only to find him right next to me. The man then took a couple steps back. walked past him and walked very fast and I almost ran into the apartment and shut the door. There's always something going on. I found out later that someone on the same floor as me is a sex offender who isn't register it sure if they are still there.

However the paint job is terrible, the kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets are patched up in order to fix removed paint, the carpet wasn't new when we moved in, part of it was already torn, but that wasn't hard to deal with, whereas the guy at the office is very unprofessional. We had told him that we wanted to move to a closer assigned parking spot since it has been vacant since we moved in and nobody has parked in it, we have 2 children under 2 and walking a far distant from our apartment to the car in the rain and cold is a recipe for illness, anyways, we had asked him, he said he'll let us know. Little did we know we informed him of an empty spot, and the next day there was a car parked there. Its very unprofessional. The car parked didn't even have the parking permit with the spot number until 2 days after it's been parked there. We've been eyeing that parking spot for a long time and finally built the courage to request it from them and this is what we get? Shows how much they value their renters.
