The lady who did my nails did not wash her hands thoroughly and did not use gloves. Another lady who did my friend's pedicure used gloves but before that she was not conscious of what she was touching. She cleaned the tub before my pedicure with the same glove she used to work on me! The dip gel on my nails was okay but not the best. She missed the filling the Sides of my nails on several nails. A few weeks ago, we found out she had terminal cancer and within days she was moved to hospice. I called Solar Nails and spoke with the manager and explained to him that my mom's dip nails had grown out in the hospital and one had torn in hospice the day before. He was very kind and agreed to come to Hospice of the Golden Isles after the shop closed for the day. He came and brought an assistant. They were kind and gentle and took amazing care of my mom, who wasn't really conscious because of the pain medication at that point. And then they refused payment at the end of the service. I don't think they had any idea who I was when I called and asked for their help, but they came, and they did a very, very kind service that was desperately needed at a horrible time. I don't know how to thank them other than to tell everybody how amazing they area and that you should spend your money at Solar Nails because they are truly good people (and they give great mani/pedis, too). I soaked for about 7 minutes and then received a great pedicure. I always go with a gray OPI and was pleased with my color too. My stylist did a fantastic job removing dead skin and callus. I highly recommend this salon. They are open 7 days a week. Until 7, except Sunday until 6. Lots of parking near the salon away from Lowe's parking lot. Prices are reasonable.
