Being a private school you expect more, because each child is so profitable from the monthly income they bring into the school, they will keep a bully vs removing them. Both of my children were bullied, the principal would tell me it will be talked about every time I came for help to protect my child. The bullying continued, so bad my children had to be forced to go to school to not get behind as they felt they endured mental abuse. The rate at which students are leaving this school for another school is high. The principal allows the best students to leave by not addressing the problem students. Every student causing problems can stay and persist in problems rather than being removed permanently as the parents talk in groups about how everyone pulls from the school because the principal is allowing the problem students to maintain bullying. My son now has to be removed from the school because he is crying himself to sleep. the child harassing him has been allowed to do so the entire year no change only empty promises. If your child is harassed, you'll be forced to leave because the harasser will never be asked to leave. Shameful

The only reason I didn't went ahead and register my girls was that it felt a bit too rigid for me and I didn't think it'll fit my kids coming from a Montessorri background. You can definitely tell that admin is a mess here, even the teachers agree (side conversations). Everyone just leaves, not even a resignation period? Just odd! For the amount of private tuition you pay here, I would go somewhere else. The communication to parents is spotty at best, the amount of time off at the school has been ridiculous. I pulled my kiddo out this past week and headed to public school in August, and I truly feel she will benefit from this move.

She takes joy in her work and the jobs she has in the classroom. She talks excitedly about all of her friends. I cannot wait to watch her soar further. The school offers great after school programs and our daughter has had exposure to in-depth art class, music glass, ballet, sports, etc. The unexpected benefit beyond all of this has been the learnings available to parents. My husband and I have enjoyed several opportunities to learn more about the Montessori approach to learning and spent several classes on positive discipline, much of which we have applied to our home. It has been an absolute joy to watch the person our 4 year-old is becoming in her first year here. You can feel how much teachers and administrators care about their role in the kids' lives. Her teacher Ms Laura is highly respected by our daughter and we enjoy playing school at home (with her as Ms Laura and us as the students). Feel free to DM me if you are looking into Montessori and want to hear more!

I am genuinely heartbroken that I have to write a review like this, but families deserve to know…read moreour experience. We were excited about The Ambrose School. During our tour, they expressed how much they loved our child, how well she would fit, and even told us there was an open spot. All we needed to do was complete the application. We did exactly that. The application asked detailed questions about our specific Christian faith and the church we attend. Within a week of submitting it, we received a cold, impersonal email informing us that our application was being terminated and our fee refunded. No explanation. No conversation. No willingness to clarify anything. Just a closed door. When I reached out and respectfully asked for the reason behind their sudden reversal, we received complete silence. Not even the courtesy of a reply. Based on the timing and the nature of the questions they focused on, it is hard to see this as anything other than religious discrimination. What makes this even more painful is that our child previously attended a nearly identical "Classical Christian" school in another state--with the same curriculum, same values, same books, same structure--and thrived as a straight-A student. She was everything they say they want in a student. Explaining to her why Ambrose had suddenly changed their mind was absolutely heartbreaking. Their academics appear strong, and I am sure many students receive an excellent education. But our experience revealed something far more concerning: a lack of transparency, compassion, and Christlike behavior. The way we were treated was dismissive, exclusionary, and completely out of line with the values they claim to uphold. Families deserve honesty and respect. Sadly, we experienced neither.

Management has changed, and the school today deserves to be evaluated on what it is now. The teachers are excellent. Many have advanced degrees, and we have been impressed by both the academic rigor and the individualized attention our children receive. Our kids are scoring very well on standardized tests, but academics here are not limited to worksheets and test preparation. There is a strong emphasis on hands-on learning, curiosity, and actually understanding the material. I also appreciate that the school recognizes that young children need movement. They have three recesses during the day, which initially sounded unusual to me, but now I think it is one of the school's strengths. The kids have opportunities to run, reset, and come back ready to learn. The four-day school week took some adjustment, but we came to appreciate the Fridays off, and our kids genuinely benefit from having that break. For families who need Friday childcare or activities, there are also many Friday programs available in the area. We came to Innovate from Challenger, where our children were doing extremely well academically. We did not leave because we were unhappy with their academic progress. What we found at Innovate, however, was something we value even more: strong academics combined with warmth, individualized education, and a real sense of community. You truly feel like part of a family here. Our kids love going to school and are excited to tell us about their day, which says a lot. The school is described as having "conservative values." In our experience, I would describe the culture less politically and more as traditional, old-school values: merit, hard work, personal responsibility, kindness, and community service.

What I love is the small class sizes, individual attention given to the students, no homework, and 4 day school week. I love no homework and the four day school week because it prioritizes our family time in the evenings. We don't spend our evenings after school stressing about assignments. I also love that they make it easy for parents to get involved. I'm able to volunteer in her classroom weekly. My daughter has excelled here! She loves going to school and used to be sad on the weekends that there isn't school 7 days a week. Our youngest daughter has blossomed going to Innovate's preschool this year. She is so happy there and I can tell the staff truly value her and care for her. I think because Innovate is such a new school they have had many growing pains but these haven't affected our family in a negative way. Dr. Geri has been a great addition to the school.
