The Goddard School of Meridian

The Goddard School of Meridian

Initially, my wife wanted to enroll our three year old son in a Montessori preschool. In some ways,…read moreThe Goddard School is the opposite of Montessori: where Montessori stresses free, unstructured, child-led activities, Goddard stresses organized, structured, teacher-led activities. For our son, who is naturally independent and creative, the structure Goddard provides, rather than stifling his independence and creativity, helps him channel it in new, more social and collaborative ways. Sometimes this is difficult for him. But we think it's challenging him to develop skills that a Montessori-type approach might not provide. Plus, the teachers are incredibly well-qualified, the facility is new, clean, beautiful, and very well-managed, and the security and health precautions are advanced and well-applied. The Goddard School and its proprietary curriculum may not be well-suited to fit every child's needs and all familys' budgets, but we feel it's well-suited to our child's needs and well-worth the added expense over some of its competitors. Also, it's good to know that TGS is a franchise, so each individual facility will only be as good as its owner-operator. And the owner-operator at this facility, himself a father, is kind, respectful, organized, efficient, dedicated, detail-oriented, professional, and an excellent manager of both property and personnel. We highly recommend this school to anyone who feels that their child would benefit from this kind of learning environment.

Love the curriculum! Age appropriate and fun, vetted material that is thematic and engaging for each of my kids- including my infant. My son was more than ready for kindergarten and my daughter is tracking the same in the prek room!!! The teachers are very thoughtful, well-trained and my kids love them. It's clear they're valued, safe and nurtured here. Plus the place is clean and well lit. I don't take lightly leaving my kids with anyone and after some bad experiences at another daycare we are delighted to have found Kiddie Academy as a second family for these critical years. Also the director, Ms. Sasha and assistant director, Ms. Maci are both on top of things! I think they know every kid's name and favorite things and they always listen and act on any questions we bring up. My kids run to hug them in the lobby. It's nice to have such a responsive, friendly staff and over the years they've been consistent, supportive and helpful. Last, the value for the tuition is worth it- no hidden fees and early communication for changes when moving classes. Meals are included and well balanced! Programming includes enrichment activities like the book mobile, sports introduction and STEM education stuff. Really cool to see the different events they host too and the ways the owners give back to us families with genuine care and respect. Good people, money well spent, and the best daycare we've ever gone to! Thank you Kiddie Academy for all you do!

The staff and caregivers truly care about the wellbeing and development of the children. They are warm, attentive and take a genuine interest in the growth and development of my little man. The level of attention that Kiddie Academy provides is well worth the value! The level of attention, structure, communication, and genuine care our child receives far exceeds what we expected for the cost. It truly feels like an investment in our child's development rather than just childcare. Thank you, Kiddie Academy, for putting this anxious mama heart at ease!!

I love that they have a controlled entry system at the front door and cameras watching every area. Inside, the classrooms are large, bright, clean, and decked out with quality, developmentally appropriate furnishings and playthings. The outside areas are well-equipped and fenced. The employees are very friendly and made my son feel at ease immediately. The tuition is (what I believe to be) a bargain for such quality. I also appreciate that it is a peanut-free zone, since my son may have an allergy. A nice extra - they offer optional activities (with fees) such as soccer, dance, and music. I am thrilled to have found this place!

Nature's Childcare staff and the entire business made me feel very comfortable with going back to work. There is video monitoring in each room (not viewable from my work computer, which I actually prefer) so if there is an event, it can be reviewed. The center is secure and entire staff is well trained. The management are VERY aware of what is going on in each room and the communication between staff and parent is excellent. Each room has 'Teachers' and they actually teach, which I am always impressed with. I now have three children in Nature's Childcare and wouldn't dare go anywhere else for childcare. I wish every day care center was as impressive as this one! I can honestly say that I would not be back to work if it weren't for Nature's Childcare. Thank you! Thank you!

Choosing Happy Hearts was the best decision I could have made. The teachers are wonderful, the community feels so close-knit, and their flexibility makes a huge difference. Most of all, you can tell how much each teacher genuinely cares for the children. It gives me complete peace of mind knowing my baby is happy and well cared for while I'm at work. Since starting this daycare, I've noticed my son is hitting milestones quicker and love that he is getting socialization at such an early age. As he grows, I'm excited for him to get to explore: more education opportunities, support with potty training, and to participate in all the fun events they do! A special shout-out to the teachers I've gotten to know and absolutely love: Jazlyn, Anna, Bekah, Destinee, and Summer!

I wouldn't recommend working at this daycare. When I first…read morestarted, I was genuinely excited. I'm a single mom, and I chose this place not just to work, but to also have my twin boys enrolled so I could be closer to them. Sadly, what began as a hopeful opportunity quickly became one of the most toxic and disappointing work environments I've ever experienced. A teacher I initially trusted (my children's teacher) ended up mom-shaming me to my face and behind my back questioning if my children could sing their ABCs, count, or put on shoes, and even suggesting they weren't "smart enough" to be in her class (despite her own son being the same age). She pushed to have them moved down into my classroom and later, when I experienced a serious medical issue at work, she told others I was "faking it." What I went through medically was something beyond my control and deeply personal. To have it dismissed like that was beyond hurtful. I addressed my concerns respectfully and privately with the owner. Instead of addressing the issue directly, she sent out a vague message to staff about gossip but never followed up or took further action. ( which I asked for )That teacher continued to be unkind and unprofessional, including making comments about me not deserving donated diapers for my kids. I asked multiple times for a group meeting to resolve everything calmly and constructively. It never happened. I felt so unsupported, disrespected, and anxious every day at work that I ultimately quit even though I didn't have another job lined up. That should tell you how emotionally exhausting it had become. Before leaving, I shared my disappointment in the staff communication thread not to be dramatic, but because I believe people should treat each other better, especially in a space meant to nurture children. Instead of acknowledging the problem, my message was deleted, ignored, and swept under the rug. Since then, I've heard several more staff members have quit for the same reasons I did. Yet the same individuals who were creating the toxic environment continue to be protected. I truly don't understand why. As for the daycare itself the children are not in danger, and many of the caregivers genuinely do their best. But I do believe the classrooms are too small, outdoor time is limited (30 minutes a day), and efforts to reduce outside play due to "staff interactions" is not in the best interest of the kids. When teacher turnover is high and staff morale is low, that inevitably affects the children, too.

Our children absolutely love this school and feel very comfortable there. From the moment we walk in, the environment feels warm, calm, and intentionally cared for. The classrooms are spotless, thoughtfully designed, and organized in a way that feels nurturing rather than chaotic. Cleanliness here is clearly a priority, and it shows every single day. This quality is at the top of my list of must haves for a place for my children! What truly sets Primrose apart, though, is the staff. The teachers are engaged, attentive, and genuinely loving. Our children are greeted by name, embraced with kindness, and supported emotionally as well as academically. They both come home happy, confident, and excited to tell us about what they learned and did that day. That alone speaks volumes. The curriculum has been age-appropriate, structured, and meaningful. We regularly see projects, activities, and evidence of learning come home. More importantly, we see growth--in social skills, independence, curiosity, and joy. This is not a place where children are discouraged from being kids; it's a place where they're guided, supported, and encouraged to thrive, be curious and inquisitive. Every child and family is different, and I fully respect that experiences can vary. But for us, Primrose has been nothing but a positive, loving, and enriching environment. If you're looking for a preschool that prioritizes safety, cleanliness, emotional care, and thoughtful learning, this school has been an excellent fit for our family. We're grateful to be part of this community and would confidently recommend it to other parents.
